Andy and Team are extremely honest and reliable. We appreciate that they ll tell us when it s smart to install a used part and save money or spend extra for top of the line.We bring all major jobs to this shop and don t trust anyone else. We even pay them to review any used cars that we purchase.Keep up the good work! We appreciate you!!

Andy's is a family-owned business that does amazing work! They are trustworthy, and will give it to you straight. There is no one else I would trust to work on my vehicles. They have super knowledgeable mechanics that are willing to explain things to you so you understand what is wrong with your vehicle, and/or The work they will be doing. If you are looking for a trustworthy mechanic look no further!

Went to Andy's 9-9-14 for repair on my Mazda. I dealt with Nick on the phone and in person. He's a very professional employee. The shop seems like a straight to the point kind of place. They explained possible problems I might be facing. I left the car for repair. They kept apprised throughout the day on the progress. They fixed the problems quicker than they told me. Price of the repair was good too. I will be taking all my vehicles to Andy's from now on. Good bunch of guys!

Timing chain repair was needed-- no small task! The communication regarding the time, cost, parts and process to repair were explained very well after the initial diagnostics and before I committed to the work. I made the 'informed' decision to go forward with the repair. These folks are not only great communicators, but exceptional mechanics. Andy, Nick, and everyone else down at the shop are the only ones i trust to work on my cars. not only because of their knowledge but because of their honesty. They are always there to offer their advice and their services. I don't even buy new cars or trucks with out bringing it to the shop and having them look it over and give their opinion. they have prevented me from buying a lemon or two for certain. Thanks Andy's Auto! You got a lifetime customer here!

Andy and his people were all very polite from the get go. I was having electrical issues on my 94 Saturn. My vehicle debateably should have been junked. Andy didn't want me to sink my money into a worthless vehicle. So he kept in contact with me whenever there was a new development. Allowing me to make the descision on where to go next. Not only was this considerate, and great customer service. But they discovered the issue, and fixed it up. At a very reasonable price no less. I highly recommend Andy's Automotive Repair. If that doesn't say enough. I'll be recommending both dear friends and family to this shop. Once again guys, you have my thanks.

I love their work ethic. I bought a used car from a crooked car dealership and found out later that the intake manifold was leaking because they tried to replace the gasket, and Andy told me it was because they put it on backwards. I was previously quoted by some other shady shops for a repair that they said would've cost THOUSANDS more than what Andy said. They are very knowledgeable, and even gave me insight about what the previous shops didn't catch. My car is now running better than ever, and even though his shop is more than 30 miles away from me, I won't take my car to any other shop.I'm VERY happy with their service, and they deserve the 5 star rating I'm giving them. Take your car here!

Just moved to town and had our car break down. Andy was able to get it in and fixed the same day and we were very happy with the service. This is a genuine, honest place to get your vehicle worked on and we will definitely be taking ours to Andy's from now on.

I was taken aback while asking about alignment when Andy said they would take a look at it, & see if it needed to be done. Most places would have just done the work & charged for it. They did an excellent job on my front wheel bearings, and were very easy to work with, accomodating, reasonably priced, & flexible. I highly recommend, & will only be going to them moving forward!

Stopped in on short notice to have a used car checked out. They were able to get me in and out in a half hour - even though they were already busy. Entire staff was professional and kind. Andy even attempted to call who he thought may have been the previous owner of the used car I was looking at! Very trustworthy, I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a mechanic in the Forest Lake area!

Andy's automotive is the Premier shop for all makes and models. Especially diesel vehicles! Had some major issues with mine and now it runs better than It Did when I purchased it. The staff kept me updated on every aspect of what was wrong with my truck even took the time to explain it . Also diagnosed the issue quickly and got me back on the road in a timely fashion.

Andy's Auto is hands down the best auto shop in the area. This is my third time having vehicles serviced by them. Not only do they care about your saftey, they throughly explain what you need done, and why. As well as let you know what could wait for next visit. Very reasonable prices as well, they truly care about their customers! 10/10 I always reccomend them. Thank you for all that you do!Services: Steering & suspension repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes

My vehicle broke down 4 miles away from Andy's shop at 4:30pm on a Friday before a holiday weekend. After trying to get the vehicle started myself, I found Andy's using Google, and found they were close by, had 5-star reviews, and they were open until 6:00pm on Fridays. I called at 5:05pm to request a tow. I figured they were the closest, had great reviews, and were still open for another hour. I was told that "Everyone is getting ready to take off of the weekend, and no one wants to come get you. Our shop will open again Tuesday morning."Not only did they miss-out on the tow, but they also lost the chance to work on my vehicle. I guess heading out for the holiday weekend was more important than providing customer service.

I've used Andy's for years now. I've always found them to be helpful, honest and extremely competent. Their quotes are accurate and they'll tell you exactly what needs to be done and what can wait. I send everyone I know to Andy's, because they're the most trustworthy shop I've ever found.

I was interested in taking my business here based on all the good reviews, but was let down when I arrived for my appointment. Although I was only getting an oil change my appointment was rescheduled for more important work. The girl on the phone told me it would take under an hour and would call me ahead of time if it would take longer. Instead I showed up to the shop and was told that I'd have to leave my car there for the day. This problem could of been avoided by a simple phone call. My future service and referrals won't be given here. With that said, still better than Forest Lake Jiffy Lube.

Excellent service, quality work, and extremely reasonable prices. I've had more than 1 vehicle at Andy's for repairs and I've never had a bad experience. Highly recommend!

Andy has been professional and truthful with me about my vehicles. He has never cut corners while working on my vehicles. I will gladly take any of my cars back to him. Definitely a great shop!

Had my work van break down on me, in a serious way, & was worried the repair costs would put me out of business. Barely able to "limp" the van into Andy's, I was fearing the worst... After a day of diagnosis, then waiting for parts, I seriously couldn't believe that I'd be back on the road working again so soon after a cam shaft synchronizer complete failure.Honest, hard working, efficient, & a bunch of really great guys. After explaining & even showing me the damaged parts, I fully understood what, why, & how the problem arose.For anyone who lives in the Northeastern Twin Cities Suburbs; I couldn't recomend a better place to bring your cars, trucks, & they even work on diesel engines. I only asked because I'm planning on upgrading my own work van to something a bit bigger.Whether it's the basics: breaks, oil changes, etc. Andy has consistently met or beat the "usual big name shops". Even if it's a major repair, such as my own, don't hesitate to talk to Andy! He might just save you some time, money, & a lot of stress... This I know all to well!

I am from out of town and came to town to test drive a truck. They were willing to get me in right away on a last minute notice. They were very helpful and provided a lot of good information on the truck and other ones. They were also willing to help me out if I had another vehicle to get inspected. Seemed like a good group of guys.

I was purchasing a used car at a dealer in the area. I don't know much about cars so I always take my cars to a nearby mechanic before purchasing. Andy's was very helpful in checking my car to certify I was not buying a lemon. I drove in from Wisconsin and had quite a rough day with getting to the dealer. I spoke on the phone with multiple people on Andy's staff at various points during the day to schedule a time and reschedule because I was running late. I showed up during the last hour before they closed on a Friday. The mechanics were able to get me in right away and look through used vehicle I was about to purchase. They checked multiple things which are known to cause problems on this model of vehicle above and beyond their regular multi point check up.

Our vehicle broke down on the way out of town for a family vacation and we were towed back to Andy's Auto Repair where Andy made sure to get us in and taken care of right away so we could get back on the road immediately.I would recommend Andy's Auto Repair for anyone in the Forest Lake area that is looking for excellent service at a reasonable price.

Literally the best shop in town, the service and care these guys provide is unparallel. They have fixed everything from engines to air conditioning to simple oil changes. I wouldn't bring my car anywhere else if I had the choice, hard work and honesty speaks for itself. Thank guys!

I had my truck brought there. They told me 800 dollars for the starter and cable. It had started so I took it home replaced the 8$ connector at the end of the wire and its been 2 years and there hasn't been a problem. Thanks for nothing.

Andy, the owner, is the most honest and knowledgeable mechanic I have met. In my line of work I see a lot of them and Andy is one of the best! I won't bring my cars anywhere else!

Had to get my truck towed, they diagnosed the problem and they worked on it for a bit and got it started and I was on my way. I was also informed that there was a few other issues that may make it hard to be worth keeping. So I know I should sell it before it becomes a problem. thanks guys

I brought Andy a used truck I was thinking about buying and he found a lot more repairs were needed than the dealer was letting on. They were friendly, quick, and cut me a deal on the inspection.
