This is the 2nd time I have had my truck in to Nelson's and yet again they did not complete all the requested task.I had a trailer brake assembly installed and that was GREAT, the passenger mirror did not heat and that was fixed but the door trim was not reinstalled, Then I requested an oil change sence they had the truck all day and that was forgotten. I am at a loss as to how this is a constant issue.

My wife and I had a great experience trading in our vehicle for an upgraded SUV. I am giving a 2-star review, only because my initial lease purchase was extremely pleasant. Unfortunately, the salesperson I dealt with the purchase was no longer there at the end of my lease. I tried several times to contact someone to get a payoff amount & could not get a return phone call with the amount. When someone did finally call me back, 4 days later, it was after 8pm. When I finally got the payoff amount & made arrangements to meet with the finance person, I sent over the information needed to have the paperwork ready for us to write a check & sign the final paperwork. The gentleman we were supposed to meet with was busy, which is completely understandable, & we were ok with that, but then we met with another finance gentleman, who was extremely jittery & almost rude answering "he was just stepping in" for the other finance person when we asked questions about the paperwork we were signing. My husband is currently looking for a new vehicle & will not be purchasing it here.

Friendly and thorough service.What makes the service department at Nelson s really shine is their approach to customer relationships, they never make you feel put off for asking questions, and answers never come off condescending. Not everyone is an expert in automotive engineering, and they get that. They really do make you feel like your just asking a friend for advice.Thanks guys

Everyone I talked to was trying to rush me thru the process and when I would ask questions, they would get irritated and not answer them or would just brush them off as nothing to worry about. Jim, the salesman I was dealing with, was the only one that would try to answer my questions. Then when they put the spray in bed liner in, they kept trying to charge me a second time. They also managed to scratch my truck in multiple places, drivers door, rear passenger door, and passenger side quarter panel. They also over sprayed my entire truck. I have bed liner on my roof, hood, and both sides of my truck. Nick from the accessories department DID make sure to get the issues noted and get me scheduled to get them fixed and stated that I would not be charged, we will see. Depending on how the repairs go, they may get a better rating.

The staff was great, the website needs work, filling out financing online has to be done using your tab key since you are unable to scroll down the page. The vehicle was misrepresented for its options in the description online and the window sticker was not available online. We bought the pickup thinking it had the options as advertised, it did not. Call Nelson auto prior to buying and ask to see the window sticker.

I give a five star because how fast they got me in.I asked about price up front, never got one. I did at least have a coupon for 15% off, thank God. It still cost over a 100 dollars. Would not of had it done if I would of knew the price up front.Now I know why they get you on.

The Service Dept at Nelson Auto Center in Fergus Falls, MN get two thumbs up or 5 stars from me. They are quick and thorough, plus, friendly to boot. One worker there, in particular, is quiet friendly and professional. He's the one that gives me my key back when the work is done. I went there this last time on Feb 1, 2024 to have a safety recall issue corrected. Bought the same service maintenance there for my new car (on lease this time) which shows my appreciation for their Service Dept.'s professionalism.

I wouldn t have posted anything, but I just received an email asking for a review..Ask and you shall receive. We have lost all respect for this shop and will not be returning. We have had multiple issues regardless of which vehicle we bring in or why. The Jeep and GMC technicians are inexperienced. They are unable to diagnose issues mechanics/ technicians at other shops have easily, they are unable to remove parts of the vehicle with out causing additional damage or breaking completely unrelated parts. The service writers do not call us back or follow up as promised and also complain about having to call in to the vehicle warranty.One off situations can happen to any company, but unfortunately the atrocious service has become a regularity and has already impacted the reputation of Nelson s around town. It s worth the commute to have a better experience.

I like going there to get my vehicles serviced. They move you through in a timely manner. The service techs and office staff are courteous and friendly. I recommend them, as their work is very good.

We had the worst buying experience of our lives, the second you make the mistake of signing papers they 100 percent blow you off!! We had paint issues and took care of them out of pocket since we're three and a half hours away, when asked if we could be reimbursed it was crickets, the detailer we used said he's never seen a dealer that wouldn't reimburse a customer for paint correction DO NOT WASTE TIME OR MONEY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Nelson Dealership in Fergus Falls, MN was so nice & helpful. This was my first time ever buying a vehicle, so I had brought my father with me, and the sales rep and financial officer made us feel so at home and comfortable. They answered all questions, let us test drive and check out the car for however long we wanted, the financial officer talked through all my different options and how different options would affect my loan or insurance. Over-all a great experience, & the free coffee kept us pretty warm on the cold windy day! Thank you Nelsons! :)

I think I offended a service writer by presenting a $20 coupon for Quick Lane that was sent out with Luther Family Ford on it. It wasn t honored, that s OK I didn t know. He kept on telling me we aren t Luther Valley Ford . Over and over.I now know Ford Dealers and Quick Lane are not one big happy family. My bad I guess.

I needed an emergency repair on my truck on my way to a competition. I was fully loaded with horses in the trailer. I called the nearest Ford dealership to my location which was Nelson Ford. They stayed on the phone with me to make sure I arrived safely. They had a lot large enough to drop my trailer. Within an hour I was able to get back on the road. I wasso grateful they were willing to do all that on aFriday afternoon!

I've always had a great experience with Nelson Ford. I worked with Chris and he was able to get my vehicle in, fixed and returned to me within a day. The service was awesome and I appreciate Chris for his efficiency.

I guess they try. I usually bring my car to Corwin in Fargo because it's closer. But they insisted nothing was wrong. So I brought it to Nelson where they at least agreed something was wrong. They tried to fix it and then told me they no longer felt the shaking. However I am doubting that they did the follow up test drive because it now shakes worse than ever. For somebody to not feel it (and see it in the steering wheel) is inept. IMO its rather dangerous to send somebody home with a car in that condition and tell them its ok.Update 9/16/23:Although I appreciate that they acknowledge the issue when I first bring it in and take time to look at it, I've had to remove a star because I brought it in again and they again told me it was fixed when it isn't. I would rather you just admit you can not fix the issue than deceive me about it. Cost this time for zero change = $2600.

We are from out of town, arrived last minute on a Saturday afternoon. The service technicians were friendly, extremely helpful and courteous. The waiting area is fantastic! Massage chairs, cool drinks or coffee, welcoming fireplace....I will DEFINITELY be returning in 2500 miles! Thanks Guys! Missy

Very friendly business, this is a large dealership but they have a small town vibe that makes you feel welcome. I feel I received a better deal on my truck here, they were nice to deal with. I had some recalls that I had taken care of in their service department recently too, was met with a courteous service writer who listened to all my concerns and the service was completed in the time promised. I waited 2 hours in the waiting area (I live 60 miles from there so I waited), very nice and comfortable area set up for customers, coffee and cookies, etc for all. While waiting I noticed the reception lady interacting with people and talking on the phone and she seemed to make everyone feel right at home, it looked like her co-workers had much respect for her too. While waiting another one of their people came and sat down and talked to me about my visit, talked like we were old friends . I highly recommend this dealer, don't buy before you talk to them, you'll be glad you did, I am.

I've had great experiences taking my old Jeep in for service at Nelson. Most recently, I went in for new tires. I was able to pre-order them and ask tons of questions over the phone. Not only did I get new tires, they also did a careful inspection and were able to identify another issue that could be corrected during the visit, which I really appreciate. They even helped me out with an oil change. To top it off, my Jeep came out cleaner than when it went in; I almost didn't recognize it, it was so shiny. All of the guys in Service were friendly and professional. The courtesy car service was really appreciated, fast, professional, and charming. The pricing was very competitive. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and highly recommend it.
