I have had two of my vehicles into Advanced Auto, and was extremely happy with the service provided by this shop each time I was in. I recommended this shop to my sister as she had taken her car into another shop 5+ times for an issue they could never seem to fix. Advanced Auto got her car's issues taken care of right away. Thank you to Josh and the team for your outstanding service and honesty.

Josh and his team at Advanced Auto do great work! I needed a lot of work done on my vehicle and Josh made the process really smooth and easy for me me. He is very knowledgeable and honest, he helped a great deal with insurance and the final repairs were lower than his initial estimate! All and all great experience and I highly recommend this place! Thanks for all the help Josh!

My car was breaking down in Fergus Falls just a half hour after picking it from a repair shop in Alexandria on Tuesday. I called Advanced Auto Care and Josh squeezed me into his schedule when he was already busy enough for the day. He and his team are very knowledgeable and treated me well. They fixed my car and I was able to make it safely back to Fargo that same day. Thank you for helping me out, Josh! I recommend Advanced Auto Care to anyone.

Very impressed! I had called around to several shops, and was unable to get my vehicle repaired for a week to two. I called and Josh was able to get me in the next day.I was surprised to see they have a video and photo screen to show the work that was done and before and after repair video available. I was very confident to see that all of the work was necessary and Josh explained why the vehicle was making noise and handling poorly. Photos and video ensure confidenceAlso! Complimentary roadside assistance is provided for 1 year from service date ( towing, unlocking, etc).

It is important to always be mindful of trusting someone with your car and its repairs. If you feel that you may not be able to trust the quality and accuracy of the repairs being done, it is best to get a second opinion. This is especially important for female drivers and those who may not have a significant amount of knowledge in the mechanics of their car. Be aware of the possibility of Josh charging you for unnecessary repairs in order to line his own pockets.

I was so happy to do business with advanced auto care! They accommodated us quickly! The upfront honesty on the estimate and the after the fix show and tell of what was wrong was amazing! I will be doing business here again anytime I have and issue with my vehicles!

The first time I stopped at advanced auto care I asked for a brake inspection knowing my brakes were in okay condition (trying to see if he would gouge me for money). Josh kindly informed me that he thought the brakes were in good condition and that no rotors/pad work was required. They could've at minimum said that I needed new pads and charged me > $500 but they did not. This is an easy way to tell if you're working with good and honest people, which is exactly what Advanced Auto Care is full of.Since then, I have got oil changes on multiple cars, new tires, and additional inspections. At all of my appointments/visits I have experienced no price gouging or rude behavior. I only receive professional work with fair pricing. This is why I will continue to go back for all of my auto care needs.Services: Tires, Auto brake repair, Vehicle Inspection, Oil change

Edit: the owner did call to respond to this review. They tried to resolve the issue we had with our service. I appreciate them reaching out to us.I was not happy with our service. We brought out car in to have an AC issue fixed. We paid over 250$ and was told the problem was fixed. Soon after the AC was not working again and we brought it back. They said it was another much more expensive fix. I wish that the problem had been looked into further and actually resolved the first time we had taken the car in. I feel like we paid for unnecessary repairs.Service: Air conditioning

I had a ball joint failure and once again Josh and his crew fixed me up. Not sure how far out of warranty i was on the ball joint but Josh didnt flinch and covered it under warranty. Three years ago i had a catostrophic engine failure and Josh advised it was worth the money to repair. He did a super job sourcing heads and the Sequoia still runs like a watch, 285k on the vehicle now.Services: Tires, Steering & suspension repair

After a bad experience at a large auto center in town, some friends recommended Advanced Auto Care for my next oil change. Without even being asked, they replaced my oil plug gasket that had a very slow leak. The other place wouldn't replace it, even when I specifically asked, without doing "further diagnostics." Kudos to Josh & team at Advanced Auto Care for being mechanics who actually do the work. You've got two new customers after this!Service: Oil change

I don t ever write reviews, but for Advanced Auto Care I will have to make an exception. For the last three years I have traveled from Wahpeton to get my vehicle looked at and cared for by Josh and his staff at Advanced Auto Care and I have never once been disappointed. They are professional, fair priced, very knowledgeable, and provide flexible scheduling. I would recommend them to friends, family, and anyone who is in need of a trustworthy mechanic.

Josh and the guys are great! Excellent customer service! I've been taking my car to them for well over a year now due to a fuel pump to basic oil changes to getting new tires put on! They do their best to squeeze you in their schedule when your in a pinch and your car breaks down and you need it for work! They have saved my butt a few times!

Josh and crew put a lot of time and care into making my '05 Dodge Caravan street worthy. I'm really pleased with the results. I wouldn't hesitate to bring any vehicle here. This place is great! Josh was very clear in his communication with me, had patience for my many questions, and was eager to help me understand what they checked on my car (was having trouble with spark plugs). Very thorough, kind and sincere. He even walked me out to my car and showed me under the hood what to look out for myself if the issue arose again. Highly recommend.

Awesome! My car was down in Minneapolis and my son was 2 1/2 hours away at college when his car broke down, for the 2nd time. The stress was crazy. I am so grateful for the service, the professionalism and caring enough to go the extra, EXTRA, mile to help my family. It was looking very bleek and Josh made it happen. All my vehicles go to Advanced for basic maintenance and larger repairs They are always friendly and easy to work with. Josh and his guys have found a number of both repair and maintenance items on my vehicles that other mechanics have missed. Once these issues were discovered they have been more that willing to discuss what items should be priorities and what the risks of not completing the work were allowing me to make an educated decision. I won't buy another used car without have they guys at advanced looking it over first to ensure I'm getting a good quality vehicle.

Have had some major repairs recently to my vehicle in the last 6 months...Josh and Larry were great to work with. Provided me with a loaner vehicle, checked in on the status of work done. No BS, thoroughly explain whatwis happening, honest and super friendly guys. Josh even came in on the weekend so I could get something I needed out of my vehicle. They check in and remind me of oil changes and other work needing to be done for up keep. Would definitely recommend them and will go to them for all my vehicle needs in the future. Thanks!!!!

Josh is my go to when something happens to my car! I highly recommend if you need anything done to your car, including an oil change bring your vehicle here. I call him every time I have an issue with my car. Josh and his staff are some of the most genuine people you'll meet. They don't give you the run around like other places in Fergus. The staff provide high quality work and service. I couldn't ask for a better mechanic!

Day1: Truck broke down on the highway got it towed here and they had it diagnosed within 20 minutes. Got a ride to a nearby hotel from shop staff (courtesy shuttle.) Prices are reasonable with extremely friendly staff. Great place to go if you ve broken down and, I d imagine, for regular service. If I lived near here, they d be my shop of choice.Day2: they have the part on the way and may possibly have it done today. 1 day turnaround on Powertrain issues is great. Larry and Josh both keeping me up to date and aware of what is going on.William Scott Bail

My car overheated on I-94. They took very good care of me and were very understanding and kind. They laid out all of the options I had, and I decided to scrap the car. They allowed me to keep my car in their lot until I found someone to come pick it up rather than having to tow it back to Fargo. Great people and great service

Male receptionist is rude and if you're a female expect him to be short with you when asking any questions! Very expensive and tries to gouge you instead of working with you. After supposedly diagnosing the issue as "ran out of gas" which the dial said almost a half tank, they wanted to charge another $125 to tell me what he already knew as it's a sensor in the gas tank...thieves!Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Wiper blade installation

Josh and his crew are top notch! I called on short notice the morning after Christmas day and they worked to fit me into the schedule. They listen to what you have to say, about how your car is acting up and try to give you the best option to remedy the issue. They have a TV/Computer screen in waiting room where they can show you exactly how the worn the parts are on your vehicle, and will explain if it is dangerous to keep driving it that way. They also will ask you if you want to replace other damaged or worn out parts they encounter, while working on the broken parts you already know about. They do not just fix the extra parts without notifying you first ahead of time like some repair shops. Thus charging you more to your bill and expecting you to pay it upon completion of the repair work and you getting a huge surprise bill. They also often offer a ride service back to your house/work, providing you don't live/work unreasonably far way, so you don't necessarily have to wait a few hours for your car to be finished. All in all, good people. Treat them with respect and you'll get it in return!

Classic or brand new the crew at Advanced Auto Care have the knowledge and experience to keep any car on the road. When my 82 Sierra needed some help Josh was able to diagnose the issue and perform the work under the estimate. Everyone was very professional and courteous. We moved to the area 4 years ago and stumbled into Advanced Auto Care by chance. It has proven to be an outstanding move. The work is done on time, on budget. They are courteous, professional and most of all, concerned that they are meeting our expectations for taking care of our vehicles. We have been absolutely satisfied with the experiences at Advanced Auto Care and will continue to use their business for our car care needs.

I'm not from Fergus Falls so I'm not familiar with the auto care options in the area. I'm so glad that I called here when I had car troubles halfway through a trip from Grand Forks to Coon Rapids. I talked to Larry and described the problem and he said to come on by and they'd check it out for me. They were working on another vehicle when I arrived but still got my vehicle examined and diagnosed almost right away. There was one major issue (brake caliper leaking) and a minor one (bad/old spark plugs). Rather than milking me for every dollar they could, Larry walked me through the options for repair and told me what needed to be done to travel safely, and what could wait until later without safety concerns or potential damage to other parts of my vehicle. He ordered the part, and called the parts store and offered to go pick it up in order to get it right away. The work was done quickly and I was back on my way.In addition to the efficient level of service, I was very pleased with the "atmosphere." The waiting room is small, but nicely equipped with a TV, coffee, a nice selection of reading materials for men, women AND kids, and I even noticed a play mat and a variety of toys.Larry was very friendly and personable and chatted with me about my travels, cars, our kids, the many geese in the area, and more, making the short time I waited fly by. He even called later to make sure I'd made it safely without problems to my destination.I can't say enough about how happy I was with my experience at Advanced Auto Care. I'd say it was probably the best experience I've ever had at an auto mechanic. I wish this place was in my hometown. This is the only place I bring my car when I have to have it fixed. They always take pictures of what is wrong and show it to me. I have never had a shop do that before and it makes me trust them even more with my vehicle. Josh and the guys that work there are great.
