Great Business! We broke down Saturday Evening and Tim fixed our trailer after hours so we could make the 9 hour drive home! AND he gave us a discount as he knew we had a rough couple days! Great guy and business!

We hit a deer on vacation and were worried about driving the car back to the Cities. Tim was the only shop that answered and he let us come in on a Saturday. He was so kind and professional. I was in Ely to pick up my daughter at summer camp and had some car trouble. The camp caretaker called Tim's for me and Tim said to bring it in. He didn't have the parts but told me when he would have them (10 am the next day) and how soon it would be fixed ("I'll have you on the road by 3"). Very accurate timeline... although we had wheels rolling by 2:40! Reasonable prices for great service. ( - they do have an upcharge (4%) if you pay with credit card... so have a check if possible!). Great service - clear explanations of what was needed - Quality work.

Tim helped us out when our truck needed a wheel bearing. We were staying at the state park nearby. He helped us after hours. Lended a truck for us to drive and completed the work when we needed to vacate the state park. Thank you for your service. It is greatly appreciated.

Tim helped me out with replacing my overheated, smoking car battery - on a Saturday afternoon after he had already closed for the day. He really went far above and beyond, and my car couldn't have been in better hands. Tim found a good alternative battery option for my car (no one in Ely had the correct battery for my car). His expert knowledge got us back on the road with a safe battery. He was also good at explaining the problem. I'm not from the area but I wish was so I could recommend Tim's to everyone I know. Just got into Ely for my sons baseball game and my engine light had been blinking the past 30+ miles! We literally just had this issue fixed 2 days ago. Called Tim s auto, never been there, unfamiliar with his work but he is taking on the challenge of my Honda Pilot right now, working OT just for me and my kids to get us back up and running. He was prompt, friendly, courteous and professional. Asked questions, reviewed the issue and my concerns and says he will try to get us up and running and not worried about the time! He even brought us back to the ball field to relax and watch the game and update us as soon as he knows. I d recommend him just for his friendliness, professionalism, concern for our problem and attention to work on the issue ASAP!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Tim totally saved our vacation! It was the 4th of July (a wednesday),and I had gas pouring out over the top of my gas tank due to a cracked fuel pump. After calling every dealership and car rental place and getting no answer, we pulled into Tim's Auto hoping for a miracle. Tim heard my plea for help, made a call to get us a rental mini van, and had my trucked fixed by Friday! Awesome service when he could have just turned us away since he wasn't technically open. Thanks again Tim!!

Tim went above and beyond to help us out. We had car trouble coming in from out of town and he diagnosed our problem after hours on a Saturday night and got us back on the road as soon as he could get a part during business hours. Highly recommend and I never do reviews, but he is worth it!

Tim went above and beyond to help us! We experienced a broken axel while visiting from out of town. Tim opened up for us when he was closed to assess our vehicle and proceeded to help us for days to follow while we tried to find a solution to our vehicle troubles. We cannot thank him enough! 5 stars and beyond!

My wife and I were renting a cabin on Garden Lake and out if nowhere a nasty noise started coming from my engine. I asked a few of local residents where they go for auto/ truck repair and they all said Tim s. Well they were sure right! Tim had the problem figured out within minutes, ordered needed parts and had me back on the road ASAP. Thanks Tim you saved our vacation
