People I talked with the owner today he Is super nice on the phone . I have been through 2 other people charging me to try and fix a oil leak they claim they fixed. I have a good feeling as this owner of this shop told me on the phone today I will find that oil leak. I'm excited to get my 64 Impala SS to this shop next Wednesday this car has a big block 454 and I'm over 100k dumped so far into this restoration . I know this shop will fix it and I will pay for a dyne as well. Here some photos my project car before and after

Bart and John were a pleasure to work with. Shared a lot of information and invited my wife and I in to watch the dyno pulls. Fun time and priced right where I thought they would be. My old school '57 Sunliner w/427 runs great. Very satisfied with the results.

My buddy Travis and I have both been dealing with Bart and his team for years. Anyone serious about the performance of their vehicle and actually understand the capability of it will be extremely satisfied..... If you don't, Bart has a little notebook with part #'s of everything with actual numbers to help you understand the level of performance to expect. An ACTUAL car guy who stands by his work and shop. Not the cheapest, but I've been to PLENTY of shops around the state and Bart's the only one who is BRUTALLY honest about any project and what to expect. Once I get my truck back together (in Dyno ready condition) I'll definitely be scheduling my Dyno tune session for this truck as well. Previous vehicle's tuned by them- '96 Impala SS LT1 (supercharged)and an '04 Trailblazer SS LS2 (NA) and they both SCREAM. If anything, the charge was LESS than explained with a large variety of parts on hand and even some "race proven" parts (used). Lol Great guy!!!

Had my car in for a quick tune and 2 dyno pulls after a cam swap on an ls1 camaro. Satisfied with results and they were the only available tuner in my local area on such short notice! Will be a returning customer. I was amazed with the size of this facility inside and the amount of cars they had inside whice means they know a thing or two about the performance end of cars

I had my 2015 Silverado tuned by them and it worked perfect. They even helped me out with some issues I was having with my catch can. Bart knows the 5.3 for sure.

I didn't use his services because he told me the things I did were not worth what I paid and to return them. So, saved me hundreds on parts returned and no tune needed. Really appreciate honesty.

Constantly yelled and swore at me over the phone, and just completely rude. Don't know their quality of work, but if its any way how they speak over the phone, I feel like I dodged a bullet.

Bart is incompetent. He talks a game but is not able to fix cars properly. Lot's of $$ charged and job not properly completed. I don't know how he is still getting away with it. His guys caused our damage by shutting iff the fuel booster; paid tens of thousands for a rebuild never completed properly. Stay away - take your precious car - and $$ elsewhere.

First time experience with this shop, it's owner Bart, and three techs. I've worked with several other performance shops in the area.First I was appreciative that he checked to make sure my crank was pinned before adding more power on a potentially hurt motor.I had a Fore Fuel system installed for E85 conversion and was able to go back and watch the techs do the work on my truck. They seemed ok with me hovering and asking questions, and I appreciated the opportunity to learn. They even took me out to grab lunch with them.Dealing with Bart the owner was good - when talking with him over the phone, he sometimes comes off blunt, in person not the case. In my experience with him, he was nice to work with, and went ABOVE and BEYOND by giving me his personal car to drive during the time mine was at his shop. (Not saying this will be possible for everyone!)Not the cheapest - but does good work. Will do business here again.

I contacted Bart at Hi-Tech for some advice on performance upgrades for my car, knowing that I had to stay within a budget. Bart recommended a plan for me and it is turning out great! Bart has completed some of those upgrades and they are fantastic. My car was always ready before it was promised, he gave me the time with all of my questions, and the pricing was more than fair. Bart and his team are a first class operation and I will be back again soon for additional work. Thanks Bart!

Do not be scared to bring your car here! I run a auto shop so I am well versed in how service should be handled and can tell if someone does not know what they are talking about. Bart the owner is amazing he is well versed in almost all aspects of vehicles and was more than friendly! He made me feel at home and gave me advise with his expertise on anything that I asked for that was greatly appreciated!! Him with Casey the tuner were both very courteous and dyno tuned my car and got it idling better and made alot more power! I am very pleased with their service and would recommend them to anyone! Thank you Bart and Casey!!!!

Highly recommend HiTech Motorsport! Bart Wells and his team did an excellent job on the supercharger install for my Dodge Charger. Bart always took the time to answer all of my questions and he is a wealth of knowledge. Kyle is a superb tuner as well! Bart also has great hospitality and showed my family around his shop. I will definitely be giving HiTech my future business!

I came here a year ago with a 2010 Camaro ss/rs 6spd. Had Kooks long tube, Borla atak, cia. Intake, and a few other small mods done. Sure noticed a great gain without the tune. But after the tune they did to compensate for my first round of mods I did, wow!!! Even with fat sticky s on the back I get 2nd gear rubber!!! Bart is a true car god!!!

I think Bart and his crew are very good at what they do. Their shop and set up is impressive. He tuned our father son "sleeper" last summer, and we were very happy.Unfortunately, not being pros, my son n I rebuilt the car engine and trans this year, and being eager to get it tuned for the NOS and new parts, we got on his schedule ASAP, this year.I called and told him I thought we could get in later that day, and he did some juggling to get us in later that day. We werent able to hit the appt. We did get it running well a few days later, and rescheduled our dyno tune appt. But the flywheel bolts let loose in the intervening 10 days. .. A rookie father son mistake... but after 150 - 200 miles, we found ourselves scrambling to drop the subframe and pull the trans to tighen the flexplate bolts.. We got up day of appt still thinking we would make it, but didnt. I didnt call Bart to say there were problems, as I thought we could get done. Got done at 2:30 that day and called him to see if we could still get in, but our appt was at 10am. Bart said we stood him up twice, and didnt even call him the 2nd time to let him know, and cost him shop time. As a business person, I understand, and while he wont do business with us anymore, I do recommend him and his expertise.

If I could give a negative star review, I would. I had my jeep in there last year for a dyno tune before another long family vacation. Bart determined that I needed a new distributor because my existing shaft was bent. I order the only he said to from summit and had it overnighter. 3 days later, he said it was done and running perfect. Needless to say shortly into my trip I had severe problems. Instead of replacing the distributor with the one he had me order, he replaced the cap of my existing one and sent me on my way. He charged me $1200 for setting me up for failure. I've been trying to settle this in court, but he is constantly asking for a continuance. He is just a shady person overall and doesn't care about screwing over people.

This is one of the rare places where quality and a guy's word are still the most important aspects for their customers. Quality work costs money, but feel free to get garbage work for cheap somewhere else. The customers' exceptional cars at this place speak highly for the kind of work they do.

My Dad and I had work done at Hitech years ago on my dads 2002 camaro z28. Bart told us to do all these things to the car a list a mile long at the tune of over $13,000 and the car would run 11 seconds flat or faster and would do wheelies. After months of having the car we got it back. The fastest that the car ran was 12.1 seconds. Which is only 1 second faster then when we brought it to him in the first place. Promised 500 rear wheel HP and it only made 400. Then we questioned Bart about it and he just said I never said that. Or I never told you your car would run 11 flat. He takes all your money and leaves you high and dry. He took my dads car which he bought brand new and made it a pos that my dad turned and sold for 9800 because he hated the car after Bart did the shafty work to it. Bart is a huge lier and cheat. All he want is money and that s it. He has a problem taking your money and leaving you with nothing he promises. This shop is a joke. I looked online to see if they were still in business and to my disbelief they are. I m shocked that they can keep screwing people and they get away with it. All I can tell you is make sure you get everything in writing with this place because if you don t you will not get anything that is promised to you. My dad also bought a car from Bart. Bart had to rebuild the motor on it twice because it blew up. In total my Dad spent a little over $40,000 in this so called race shop. This was a big waist of money and time and emotions. Made my dad hate anything about cars after this experience. My dad passed away about 3 years after Bart took all his money and his love for cars like it was nothing so I am writing this review for my old man may he RIP! A message to Bart please quit screwing people it s not right. You will have to answer one day to all your lies and sins. You remember that the next time you talk with a customer and promise the world and deliver nothing as you cash there checks with out looking back. You should be ashamed of yourself as a man, lying and cheating people out of thousands of dollars. But one day it will all catch up to you.Bart I have all the paper work and pictures and even video from rockfalls raceway of you and Brian trying to make the car run 11sec flat. You can hear Brian saying the car is never going to run 11 with this set up and that s what you told us. You didn t get your last 2200 because that was for a brand new moser faulty rear end you installed that you put gears in to try and fix the problem that then made the problem worse so you wanted to replace the rear end then told us that we owed you another 2200. Your work has no warranty?? That tells you right there what kind of operation you run. You got 40k of mine and my dads money you screwed us for plenty Bart! The race car had a one race year warranty with it per your offer. The engin blew after 60 days how many passes can you have in 60 days. Then you fixed it and your incompetent mechanics dropped the air cleaner nut down the carb and you had to take the motor back apart to get it out. That whole thing took you almost the rest of the race season to fix. Only ran the car a few more passes and it blew up again. Had to take it to another shop to rebuild the motor. The shop told us he wasn t surprised that it blew and that he has rebuilt several of hitech motor spots engines. Anyways one day everything will catch up to you. I work for a large corporation and deal with million dollar clients all day and have been within this company for 10 years if I was a lier and a cheat I would have been out of a job a long time ago. For anyone that wants or needs proof of what I m saying they can reach out to me and I can show them everything that I have on my experience with hitech motorsports. In your response to my post people can tell what kind of person you are saying nasty thing about someone who has passed away and can t defend themselves. You are a heartless person a lie and a cheat. From all the reviews I have read online we were not the only people you screwed out of thousands of dollars.

I like how some of the negative (fake) comments here with 1 star to just ruin the business, Bart is great and trust worthy guy, you don't like the price? go somewhere else. You want your car to run strong ? he's the guy! Thanks! Recommended!

Worst experience ever. Will B.S. you like he cares, then screw you over. Would not recommend this shop to my enemy. NOT FAKE! I brought my green 73 Duster in to get carb fixed or replaced then get dyno. Had to call numerous times with no return call. Finally told that I needed a new transmission! What? Quoted $3000 plus install! Told I wouldn't even be able to drive it home. Had it flat bedded home, then to a professional transmission shop. Was told that the transmission was strong and needed nothing. Had tranny shop also tune my carb. Wasn't perfect, but ran good enough until I could get it replaced. To say it never happened is just another lie! The quote # is 1-808853! I don't have the original bill, but I never should have been charged for work that was never done! Nothing was fixed, and no dyno! On top of it I had to pay for 2 unnecessary tows and a complete tear down of my tranny that was never needed! Either this was a complete fraud, or absolute incompetence. Either way, I had to eat the bill. When I found them, I was looking forward to doing a lot of buisness with them, but I just have no reason to trust them! To say they have no record of me just adds to my point of incompetence. To say they never worked on my car, I believe it. THAT WAS MY POINT! Didn't stop them from taking my money though.

Bart and his crew are great guys. I have brought my 65 Impala to the Dyno twice in the last 12 years They work hard to get it to run its best. Unfortunately my timing chain broke on the Dyno but that s the way it goes sometimes when you are seeking the most power possible. They also put a custom tune in my friends 2015 GMC 6.2L 8 speed truck. It woke it up a little and increased the tow power and speed. Thanks guys I m sure I will see you again soon.

I have seen some of their work recently through a guy named Corey, but I am not a customer personally. Bart seems very smart and if I had a mopar or any fast car and lived in the area, he is the first person I would call

It pains me somewhat to write this as over the course of my dealings with HiTech I spent quite a bit of time talking to Bart Wells and thought he was a nice guy. However the fact remains that I have over $6,000 (not including those I didn t save) in invoices from HiTech and a motor that burns a quart of oil every 50 miles with scored, football-shaped cylinder walls, beat up pistons with scratched and dented skirts, and a new bill to fix everything. In 2009 I hired HiTech to rebuild a 454 that wasn t running right - whether or not it needed a rebuild is debatable but I ll accept that it did. They rebuilt it top to bottom to the exact specifications that their engine builder (at the time, no idea if he s there now) Brian Ebert came up with and with the exact parts they wanted to use to the tune of $6,000. Within the first year it broke valve springs at least half a dozen times which stranded me on the side of the road multiple times and cost me countless towing fees. One of these times a valve contacted a piston and bent the stem. They finally realized that the springs could not run to the lift that they were running them at and changed them out for different springs - unbeknownst to me excessive damage had already been done to that piston and cylinder bore. After the change of valve springs I was able to run the car for the next 3-4 years very occasionally because I was constantly bumping up against major oil burning issues. Some rounds of changes and revisions were undertaken by Bart, others I paid for under claims that they were somehow not caused by their rebuild. Finally in 2013 I stopped bringing the car back to HiTech because it was clear they couldn t resolve the issue and I was sick of spending more money with them. While the oil consumption issue made it almost impossible to drive the car I didn t have much opportunity to do so anyway. Finally, in late 2015 I removed and disassembled the engine to determine what the issue was. Almost every piston was damaged from the shoddy bore job and the fact that the bore clearances were not sufficient for the piston expansion. Most of them are dented on the skirt, and most of the bores were trashed from the skirt scraping the walls. This has of course required all new pistons and a complete rebuild of the lower end including boring the block to .100. These are the facts. Brian Ebert may be a great mind when it comes to building engines, but he can t do basic quality machine work. Bart knew this and cashed the checks anyway.TL;DR is that you d have to enjoy pissing away time and money to work with HiTech Motorsport.
