It baffles me they d try to take advantage of a female walking in by herself. Tried charging me over eleven hundred dollars to get an alignment. Still charged me 54$ just for looking at my vehicle. Took it elsewhere and didn t get quoted an insane amount. Beware ladies.Reply- not what i was told at another location, and the people don t lie, you have plenty of complaints of dishonest procedures. NEVER going back and i will make sure everyone knows the type of experience i was delivered.Hope those 54$ are worth a costumer never coming back.I speak the wrath of God over your business and everyone involved in the attempted scam and it will not stop until I receive compensation for all the tears i cried that day, you do not know what people are going through. Shame on YOU!

Paid over $100 for a $60 oil change due to my oil filter costing over $45. I wish they would've told me that. I googled it and could've puchased my own oil filter from Hyundai for $15. Was not happy.Super nice people here and very nice / clean waiting area. But do call when my expected cost goes up almost 50%.

Since my last review I had spoken with the owner and they offered me my next oil change free. I thought why not give them a shot to redeem themselves. I went in and had a great experience this time around. It was just the oil change and the person who helped me was wonderful and explained everything to me and I waited no long than 30 minutes for my oil change. He also explained to me where things went wrong on my last visit within the staff, overall very impressed this time around! I had been here before to get my tire patched up. Made an appointment and was in and out in around 45 minutes! It was great! Made an appointment to get my oil changed, came in and they told me they couldn t find the appointment but they would take it anyways. I expected to to take maybe an hour. I was there for 3 hours and when I walked up after 2 hours to ask how it was doing they couldn t find my keys to see if it was done or in progress. I saw my keys sitting just on the counter with nobody even working on the paperwork or nothing. When he looked he saw there were notes about things that could be fixed and asked if I wanted an estimate, I said yes. Then another customer comes in and they drop my stuff to take care of him. I m furious at this point because I could have gone to Walmart to get an oil change and they would have done it in half the time and price. At this point it has been close to three hours because I m still waiting to pay and to get the estimate on what other repairs they think my car needs. After 3 hours they tried quoting me new tires even though I just got 4 brand new tires, and some other mechanic work estimating over 800 dollars and they asked if I wanted to handle that today, like I m made of money. Then they just kept pushing for me to get it handled even though I expressed I can t afford that at the moment. Would recommend going somewhere else like the Midas across the street (they are cheaper) and not wasting your time.Services: Tires, Oil change

Honest appraisal - front end suspension noise required new struts, bearings mounts and stabilizer arms. After market struts not available but I preferred using authentic Acura parts anyway. MDX drives and handles like brand new after the work was completed. Serious money spent but absolutely worth it and I highly recommend this facility - friendly and professional

On Dec. 29, I took my car to Youngstedts in Eden Prairie under a panic situation. Earlier in the day my car told me the tire pressure in the rear left tire was all-of-a-sudden 16psi. Found a gas station with air ASAP, then continued with my day. Tire pressure kept slowly dropping so I called Youngstedts at 2:18 p.m. to get my car in. Explained ALL the events that transpired since the initial alert of low pressure and they looked over the tire in question.Told me that the sensors were fine and that there was nothing wrong with the tire. They purposely looked for a SLOW LEAK based on my concerns - and none was found.They ASSURED ME (I asked them directly and specifically) that I wouldn't wake up the next morning with a flat tire.AND THE NEXT MORNING THE TIRE PRESSURE DIDN'T REGISTER ON MY TIRE GAUGE !!I called Youngstedts at 7:41 a.m. in another panic and was told to bring the car back ASAP - which I did immediately. AFTER I found a gas station to put air in the tire - which my car said now registered 8 psi !!!!!! (I'm not from the area so finding a gas station in a residential area with only 8 psi was scary.)And yes. THERE WAS A SLOW LEAK !!! Thankfully I had purchased the tires from Youngstedts in Eau Claire (where I live) and had the tire protection plan. The good news.So now I have a new rear left tire. The best news.My frustration, major irritation and yes, anger, stems from the fact the techs SUPPOSEDLY looked PURPOSELY for a slow leak. All the things I told them led to that. Yet they found none.I don't like writing negative reviews. But I feel that I was lied to when I was assured there was nothing wrong with the tire. Did they not even look at it? Was it a long day already? Was I an old woman who didn't know better?

EDIT - after posting this review, the manager called me to get feedback and provide reimbursement for the cost. I appreciate the effort they have put in to make it right, and have increased my rating from 1 to 3 stars.--Went in because I had a rattle coming from my dashboard. After an hour they gave me my keys and said sorry we couldn t find the source and the charged me $180. I had agreed to pay for them to do the work if they found the source. They never found the source and still charged me. I would have happily paid the $49 diagnostic fee and had them tell me they couldn t find it. Took it to a dealer service center the week after and they fixed it within an hour, free of charge. Would not recommend Youngstedts, they seem to be taking people for a ride, figuratively.

Smooth and easy, book an appointment or walk in they are open and helpful. They check in simple and the waiting area is pleasant. There is also free wifi. Prices for basic oil change is 36$ approximately. Look for coupons on mail.Location is perfect, in the heart of Eden prairie and close the EP mall and different dine in places nearby . I had a screw in my tire and went here for a repair. They were honest with me and told me the screw did not actually puncture my tire fully so they did not charge me anything. I would highly recommend them for service. Very trustworthy and honest.Service: TiresService: Tires

I went in to get a suspension problem looked at and they recommended $3200 is mostly unnecessary repairs. I have used Youngstedts in the past but won t be returning.

I went in for an oil change and I was told I needed new brakes in the front and rear. I asked what the numbers were and I was told they were at 2. I explained that wasn t possible because I had my front brakes and rotors replaced two months prior. The man up front went back to check and he came back and said the tech was looking at them wrong and the front was 10 and 10 and the back was 8 and 5. He apologized and said the techs were still learning. I expressed my disappointment by stating if I wouldn t have known better that could have cost me a lot of moneyService: Oil change

It was my first experience working with them. The front desk was very friendly and accommodating. It was a day after heavy snowfall. We were a bit late. After dropping the car, we soon heard back from them on the issue with the side window and fixed it right away. The charges very reasonable. I really appreciate their prompt professional help.

Did not feel taken care of. Paid for an oil change and tire rotation. Pressure sensor was broken during tire rotation. Needed to wait additional day to pick up car. The new oil change sticker was not put on car. When I asked for it the exact mileage was not used on the sticker. They also mentioned over $1K of additional repairs based on mileage and not checking if needed. Mentioned something broken under car. Asked them to put car on lift and show me, but they would not. The experience made me feel like they ONLY wanted my money and didn't care about servicing the customer.Services: Tire rotations, Oil change

service was friendly and attentive at a fair price. Whenever I entered the lobby, I was greeted efficiently (on one visit, by 4 different people over the 10 minutes I was there). They provided both preventive estimates and needed repairs to keep our 12 year old vehicle reliable. This is my second review.Last time when my car does not start, they said we gonna do battery test 40$. I said ok, then engine check 190$. I said ok again Later full engine check 2200$. I trusted twice but of no use. Later said it should go trash. My uncle fixed the car after couple of days by just changing the sensor worth 20$. I don't know the name of the guy whom I don't want to see his face again in my lifetime, such a worst one.When coming to the point about today. I just went to tighten the fuel pump sealing link that might take a minute to fix. One of the guy is so nice and trying to fix. But the one whom I don't to see his face came up and said "BOOK AN APPOINTMENT WITH US AND STOPPED LETTING HIM TO TIGHTEN THAT" What the..... You just need to loot the money from the customers that's all only you have the job. I love youngstedts not at this place. I don't recommend anyone here. If we have negative rating, I would definitely make 100 times negative.

They will try and scam you if they feel you don't know much about your vehicle. I was quoted over $1200 for new tires when I had a nail in one of mine. I was quoted less than HALF the price, after going to a different place for all new tires. I overheard them on the phone with another lady and they scammed her out of a tire as well, where she also had a nail in it and they charged her over $400 for a new one. They also didn't give me any tire options. I would not recommend this place.Service: Tires

They re always nice. My rear passenger tire picked up a screw and since I got the tire warranty, Youngstedts patches it or replaces it. It s the only item warranty that I ve purchased and got more value out of than I paid.

I have been going to Youngstedts for, well probably 20 years now. They are friendly, helpful, and I haven't had a complaint about their work --- and, boy, I have had my fair share of car work done!)They aren't the least expensive place you will find, but there have been several times where I was waiting for them to 'gotcha' me with unnecessary repairs, etc, and they have passed every test so far.HIghly recommend.Services: Engine repair, Auto battery maintenance, Battery

I recently had an issue with my vehicle that required 3 visits to fix. The folks at Youngstedts are the best. They are very kind, worked with me, were very patient as the issue was worked through. Along the way they explained everything, kept me informed. On the 3rd visit they found the problem. Besides fixing the problem, they worked with my insurance company to help offset the cost of the repair. Youngstedts is the best, I would highly recommend them to others .

They try to scam you if you don t know about your car. They charged me $190 for full diagnosis check and $40 for battery check what not but haven't found the exact problem what I have and didn't give me any report as they said they will be giving me a diagnosis report if I pay completely. They need more $2200 for a complete check of the engine(not for the repair). This is so horrible! They just need to be paid and do nothing. You can find a better place than this.

Always liked this location and people who work there. I am not sure what is changed but I did not get the usual warm fuzzy feeling. Been a loyal customer but was not offered my usual discount, which is not a huge deal. Their punch card program is a good deal but you have no protection if you lose the card.

They try to scam you if you don t know about your car. Wanted to charge me $50 in labor to replace a cabin filter because quote they have to take the glove box off . This is a simple task my dad taught me how to do when I was 15 years old and learning to drive. Not something a skilled laborer needs to be paid 20x their wage for 5 min of work. Absolutely ridiculous! I ll find a new place for my car needs.Service: Oil change

Any shop can turn a wrench or replace a part. What you re really paying for is honesty and integrity and I ve lost confidence in this place. My wife came in for an oil change and came out with an estimate for over $4000 of additional repairs . They said she needed front and rear brakes and that the fronts were 1/5 and almost metal on metal problem with all of this is that I did my front brakes 14 months earlier and when I went home and checked, I had well over 50% left on the pads and a separate shop also verified that. They also said she needed a transmission flush but I had also just had that done a year before and the fluid was perfect. They also told her both her front control arm bushings were ripped but when I took it to another shop, we couldn t find any rips. Again, honesty and integrity are what you hope to get but when they try to take advantage of a female or anyone and scare them into costly unnecessary repairs, they ve lost all credibility. Very unfortunate to stoop to this type of business practice.Service: Oil change

I called this shop last Friday to have my vehicle refrigerant recovered. The Technician there told me they can do it free of charge if it's only freon recovery and to call on Monday to reschedule an appt. I did call on Mon and the same person that l spoke to me on Friday had a change of heart and now wanted to charge me for the same service that he told me was free. He told me that most shop will charge me for removing the freon which has little truth to that. I know few shops that will happily take it as they in return make profit of.

Ryan helped us out immediately when I called with an issue to my wife's vehicle. The dealership(s) where we normally go were of no help and would not have been able to fix the car for over 2 weeks. Ryan and his staff had it done in four hours. Great customer service and this was the first time we had even been to his shop.
