I have purchased many cars and this was by far my WORST purchase ever!. I purchased a 2015 Ford Police Interceptor Sedan with 99,000 miles on it. Being a high mileage car I knew I was going to have to put some money into it. However, when the owner of the car intentionally does not disclose faulty items or even make an effort to correct them is wrong.Being from out of state I asked more questions than most consumers and asked for additional pictures. The salesperson Jake and the owner Ryan seem to be less than reputable. They "forgot" to tell me the "Check Engine" light was on. The picture of the tire they posted was a rear tire. The two front tires were shot. When I had the car delivered, the battery was dead. It was a 36 month battery installed more than four years ago.The brakes are shot. The interior is clean and the body is very clean. I sent a text or two and big surprise no return text. This car was purchased for a "good" winter car. After I put money into it to make it right it should be fine. But to intentionally mislead people is terrible. Whatever happened to just doing the right thing? Sure they made a few thousand dollars or whatever amount - when they sold me the car, but what about all of the people that will read this reviews and their other terrible reviews and just move on to another dealer.Such a terrible way to treat people and run a business. My advice is regardless of the "deal" you think you may be getting it is probably best to move on and look for another car at another dealer.

Do not suggest buying from Original Owner Autos. They told me they would fix the check engine light for me when i purchased the car. Car was in the shop 3 different times for 42 days over the first 80 days i had it. They only paid for part of it and made me pay for the other half even though they said they would fix it and pay for it for me. When i called the owner Ryan about paying for the rest of it he told me to "go F myself" and hung up on me. Stay away, don't make the same mistake I did!

I made an appointment to see a vehicle at 9:00am on a Saturday morning. I was told that there was someone coming to look at that vehicle Friday evening and they would let me know if it was still available. Later on that evening they texted me and said the person didn t make it in time and that she would be the one to see it first on Saturday morning. Yes they did communicate with me but the guy I was dealing with, Ryan was an arrogant and couldn t even look us in the eye when we complained about setting that appointment. Which I will say they allow you to schedule test drives on there website, so I figured by me scheduling it for 9:00am when the doors open I should be good and not bumped be cause the other person couldn t make it when they said. I would suggest looking for a car elsewhere as they don t keep to their word.

I recently tried to buy a Toyota Corolla from Ryan at Original Owner Auto's. He passed me along to Walt in finance, who proceeded to jerk me around for several days. I was willing to make a full price offer on the car, as I live in far Northern Missouri.I have never worked with such a poor company in my life. If you are even thinking of buying anything from them, be forewarned!

This is a horrible place to buy cars. DO NOT GO HERE. They lie about the con ditions of the vehicles. I purchased a 2011 BMX X5 last year and it broke down already and it says now I need a whole new engine. The warranty sucks as they say they can only cover 3500.00 of it when it's 13,000 in which that is what I paid for my vehicle so it's like having to purchase a new car again. They are slow at getting back to you. I went through a whole process when I bought the car because their mechanic didn't know what a check light was on for, so that took over two months. They said they would mail me a copy of title which they never did and when I asked the owner said I had to go purchase one, even though I was promised one. These cars are lemons and they are stealing peoples money and being dishonest to people. AGAIN DON'T BUY CAR FROM HERE IT LOOKS LIEK A GOOD DEAL AND IT'S NOT THEY LIE AND CHEET YOU OUT OF MONEY. I hope someone shuts them down.I am a single mom also who needed a car and thought I was getting a good vehicle as that's what they said and now a year later I am now out of a vehicle and more and more money. Sad that people do this to people. SHUT THEM DOWN.

LEMON SELLER!! Looks decent on the outside however they sell broken vehicles and straight lemons one 4Runner I was looking didn t even the start and the other one had a good amount of rust but spray painted over. They like to hide things and play you. I was pointing the problems out on the spray painted 4Runner (power steering leaking, extreme whine when started and the obvious rust one of the receptionists walked off mid conversation.

I purchased a subaru forester from this place several years back. I went in with intention of putting down 3k and financing the rest. Vehicle was listed for 7k. Test drove the manual vehicle and notice 3rd gear synchro grinds and pops out and vehicle was not cleaned. I really needed a car so I decided to go ahead with the finance part. They offered me $300 off, but then said no because I'm financing the vehicle. Gave them my info and they called around and got back to me within an hour and gave me my total. With 3k down today and 7k financing your total is 10k for the vehicle. I was like what???? I wanted to put 3k down and finance the rest. They added the most expensive extended warranty package that I didn't agree to buy and I declined. They looked upset and said they already approved the finance part and that it was required to have this extended warranty and that it looks good for my lender. They were rushing me too because they were about to close for the day. I went and bought the lower extended warranty package for a bit less. A few months in my viscous coupler went out and was not part of the extended warranty coverage and I had to get that repaired for 1k. This was my first bad experience at any dealership.

Heed the advice of all the 1 star reviews. Just terrible people. I called to inquire about a 2012 Sprinter Van they have listed and immediately got yelled at that it's not being sold for that price anymore. Started to inquire about why and they hung up on me. I tried to call back and they screened my call.

I found the vehicle I wanted on Craigslist, they had all the information about the car I wanted to know, including a car fax on the vehicle. I went to the dealership and got right in for a test drive on the vehicle and it was better then I imagined. I bought the vehicle and it was such a fast process, they worked with my bank very fast and I was out of there in no time. I would highly recommend, high quality vehicles for an amazing price!

Bought a Toyota Camry from them. Was told it was in good shape. Come to find out the one previous owner never changed the oil. There is no way they should have sold that car to someone without disclosing it. They are dishonest.

I would put 0 stars if I could. I m a single mom who needed a car. The sales people sold me a car with a clean title that had been in a roll over collision, deemed a total loss and was rebuilt. I bought this car for $5,000. Within 20,000 miles I have put another $4,000 in repairs and it currently does not run. When I called to talk to the owner he told me that he sold me a working car. Not a great business model. Don t go here, you will just be wasting your time and money.

Seemed like a nice place, reasonable prices, unfortunately the vehicle I came to look at had a major fault they couldn't fix.

owner spoke to me on phone told me i could come anytime. when i showed up the reception gentlemen was super nice but the owner told us they weren t open and i was lying. very disappointing experience after driving an hour and half to see this car. looked great online but had many scratched and small dents on it in person. Was very rude to us after we explained the situation. I own a business but as a customer he wouldn t even work with me to receive my business.

I believe the peoole are dishonest in their sales tactics. But repairable vehicles fix just enough to get them out the door. I do not trust this place

Horrible business, the moment i started talking to walt it felt like he was trying to play me. In the end i guess he did because i put a 200 dollar deposit down on a 2004 toyota fourunner they had, walt said the car was misfiring and that it would be fixed. Said he would give me updates and call once its finished, i called two different numbers and they both hang up on me so i just stopped trying.

Be careful. Bought a car from Walt in December and still dont have the title in August. Had to find out from the DMV and when I called Orignal Auto they knew about it but never informed me.

Used cars that are in decent shape and still affordable are hard to find. I went to 5 dealers. I was tired and so very discouraged at what was out there and the sky high prices on JUNK. I went to this place and found cars that looked like a diamond compared to the other lots. They appeared clean and maintained. I purchased from here. So far I am very pleased. The salesman was not pushy or slick and seemed calm and forthright.

I purchased a used 2007vBMW 3 months ago from OOA without the insurance policy correctly verified by Walt because he had " to close the shop and leave". I was so committed to getting the insurance policy submitted to Walt so he could get the funds to pay for my vehicle that Walt requested me to take to Kenny's auto repair in Eagan and have a diagnostic assessment to see why the check engine light came on. The mechanic at Kenny's informed me that he didn't even want to hook to code reader up to the car, it needs a new engine. I told Walt that my vehicle is not starting or driving and he said he feels bad for me but he'll see what he can do about the owner making it right. Walt never called me back. I asked him if he knew that car he dumped off on me needed a new engine, he said no. I don't believe him. Now I'm stuck paying 8 grand for a vehicle that doesn't work and costs 3300 to repair. Can anyone share feedback.

Liars and wasted my time.Came there to buy the Cadillac but the car has the engine light on, so I told them to fix it and the next day came back the engine light is gone. I bring it to a mechanic near there to make sure, paid $80 for that, and turned out the engine light is on again, the mechanic told me that these guys just reset the code and didn't fix anything about it.

STAY AWAYYY!!! I had my eye on a vehicle and even tho I saw all the bad reviews, I decided to take a chance and check it out. Wasn t really greeted, just let us roam around and look at all the cars (not many) and didn t really tend to us. I asked if I could test drive the car and bring it to a shop near by (Midas in EP) to have an inspection. He said sure! You ll see it ll pass with flying colors! Turns out, there was about $6k worth of repairs from power steering leakage to wheel bearings to oil leaks EVERYWHERE...it was junk. Didn t even have gas in the car...tires were flat. Brought it back and he asked how it went and I said I wasn t interested, it needs a lot of repairs and a big one is the power steering, there s leaks and I could barely turn the wheel. His attitude changed after I said I wasn t interested and said oh that happens with every car it s just a little trickle not a big deal you ll run into that with all cars, I laughed and said absolutely false, no thank you and proceeded to leave and he yelled out well good luck finding a car because you re not gonna have luck finding a used one! Very unprofessional, not honest or helpful. The place is trash and dirty. The cars all look very nice on the outside but please if you overlook all the negative comments like I did and decide to take a chance, GO GET IT INSPECTED BEFORE BUYING!! Or better yet, DO NOT GO HERE.

The worst and less professional dealer I ever seen. Told him to go for see a car, but once there, car is in bad condition and not possible to drive test. Shouldn't you tell me before I go. Bad attention and poor education. Not reliable

I would rate them fair as a dealer that simply sells cars "as is" but they're pretty deceitful and seem to only care about getting the cars off their lot. The only reason I bought my car was because it was the exact one I was looking for on a narrow market but otherwise, I would have gone elsewhere. Despite listing no mechanical issues or needed maintenance, my car needs a new serpentine belt immediately after purchase along with brake pads and the front right tire has a leak. Also, the key fob wasn't even programmed to the car. In addition, the first time I went to test-drive, the battery was dead. And, not so much to my surprise, the car wasn't even clean. There are dealerships that don't advertise anything false about their cars and simply sell them as they get them. That's fine. But OOA will tell you whatever to get their cars off the lot. Highly unlikely I would ever purchase from them again out of moral principles, even if they had the car I wanted. I'm not even entirely convinced they're still accredited by the BBB, as if that's worth anything anyhow.Oh and I'm sure they'll mention how they're happy to do any work on the car if you experience issues. What a convenient cycle of income, we'll sell you this car that doesn't need work (but really it does) and when it comes time to fix it, you can just come back and give us more of your money.

I felt talked down to at another dealer. These guys took my need for a inexpensive used car seriously. I usually don't like to do a review until I am sure things have worked out but I feel good about my purchase from Original Owner Auto's. Josh and Ryan want to do right by you. They offer a sweet deal to customers who have bought from them. Low fees for repairs and cost for parts if needed. This is a good carrot for a fellow on a budget who drives inexpensive used cars as a rule. Thanks for helping me into another good used car. Loved it is too strong a word for right now. Check back in a few months. I really really liked working with these guys. I can't give 4.5 stars. So I round up.

After reading so many good reviews & seeing the 5 star BBB rating, we decided to buy a car from Original Owner Autos. We had been looking for a Subaru, and found one that looked pretty good, although priced too high. We noticed a couple things about the car, tried to talk them down, but were told the car had been looked at by their team of mechanics & "needed no work" & was priced accordingly. We trusted them but now here we are, about to drop over a thousand dollars into a car that we bought 2 months ago. Not what I was going for. Heed all the one star warnings, do not buy a car from them! They only care about ratings & moving vehicles quickly. We were asked to leave a good review after buying our vehicle, here's your review! I work really hard for my money & I sorely regret wasting it on a business who cares so little about their customers that they are willing to deceive them.

I bought my car 6 days ago and already bringing it in because of the horrible weld job on the exhaust and the holes are filled with putty so I'm getting it fixed properly and also have a couple of other issues all said and done 1,300 dollars all and all car is nice but was told it was all good and I definitely would never let there mechanic touch my vehicles four bolts to drop the exhaust but would rather half a$$ it

Great experience. Test drove 3 vehicles for my 16 yr old before buying. The owner fixed the brakes and tire sensors before the purchase and had everything covered. It has been a great, safe vehicle. I have now owned the vehicle for 2 months.

DO NOT BUY HEREI wanted the car and didn't take the time to do it right.Left the dealership with 4 leaking tires and black oil. After not even 100 miles, whatever additives they added to to engine wore off. Took it apart and I need new cams and bearing ledges, 55% of the cars value to repair it.Save your money, plenty of other reviews show mine isn't the only money pit they're selling.

Overall, I'm an optimist and am somewhat easy to please, so I will say that I'm satisfied with the deal. Ultimately I'm still hoping that I broke even on this deal.I got a van for about $6200 that had a kbb of about $6800. It needed about $400 worth of basic cosmetic work and parts when i first got it (i.e. $50 broken side mirror, $50 broken taillight housing, etc.). I bought it knowing that was what I was buying.I bought and then canceled a service warranty for the engine and transmission because it was an extra $2k, ultimately. I figure it doesn't make sense to find a bargain a couple hundred $ under kbb price and then tack on another $2k. Also, when I canceled the warranty, they shorted me $100 that they said I should've gotten back since I canceled within the time written in the contract. But, whatever, they said it was some fee that the "owner" charged. All that said, I am still driving the car 6-months down the road. With that extra $100 "fee" they charged for canceling the warranty, and the initial $400 of minor repairs, I got the vehicle for about $100 under kbb price. Here are a few more imperfections I've realized the vehicle was purchased with:there are quite a bit of dents and scratches, not too minor either; a head rest to one of the rear seats is missing; I replaced the power steering reservoir and a power steering pump seal, myself; I replaced all four tires because there was loud sound coming from one and the tread was past 50% gone.Update: 4 years later, the car is still running. It has requires maintenance along the way. The sliding doors, I give a 3 out of 10 rating.

Drove a hour to look at a van that was listed as excellent condition and when me and my girlfriend got there we looked at it and the front bumper was barely hanging on and one of the rear power doors was messed up also the driver seat was very worn. Need to say less the van had 120 thousand miles and they were asking way to much for how the vehicle looked not even what ever mechanical problems were there. We walked into talk to Ryan and sat there for 10 minutes before anyone came up front and then just told me to go look at it and was unlocked and if we were happy with what we saw we could come back and talk about a test drive. I didnt even test drive it to know that they were asking say to much. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone no matter how bad they needed a vehicle

Original Owner Autos was a very pleasant experience. No haggling about price like other dealerships that keep playing with numbers to appear they have your best interest at heart. I observed this place is about three things and only three.1. Providing honest, friendly and helpful customer service and going out of their way to ensure your car buying experience is one to be remembered...one of the best I've had to date.2. Providing an inventory of quality vehicles for sale.3. A No games, No BS environment; all about you and what you're looking for.Great place to go and purchase a car.
