A good friend recommended Benchmark Auto Service, and from our first visit, Michael and Drew have consistently provided exceptional service. They go above and beyond to ensure our car is well taken care of. For example, when faced with the decision to replace our transmission considering the year, make, and model, along with the associated cost their insights were invaluable in our decision-making process. Drew replaced the head gasket on my 2008 Equinox in Sept 2023. The vehicle had 94,000 miles on it and I wasn't sure if I wanted to make the repairs, but after talking with Drew I could tell he had done many of these in the past. I waited a few months to write a review, and I am completely thrilled with the work that he did and how my Equinox has performed. The car runs like brand new, the coolant level remains at the same level and the heater blows I lot of hot air. DREW, THANKS FOR THE EXCELLENT WORK!Robert Hayes

I bought a used vehicle and found out it had been serviced previously at this mechanic, so I brought the car there, and not only was I greeted with a warm smile, I was welcomed back to the auto shop to visually be shown all the leaks and items wrong with the vehicle, and allowed to video record it to retain for my own records. I asked many questions, and they were happy to give full answers and disclosures of them all. As a female, it's already hard buying a car and being treated with respect and taken seriously, and the same goes for a mechanic, and Benchmark Auto treated me with care, respect and you could tell they were good, honest humans. I would recommend them to friends and family and absolutely my fellow females who feel the same about mechanic shops. Thanks Drew and team!

Best mechanics in Hennepin County! Since living in the neighborhood, I've trusted Benchmark with all of my family's vehicles. Their communication is transparent and their work is always reliable and affordable. Michael and Drew are awesome! Benchmark will always be my #1 shop as long as they're around.

We finally found an awesome mechanic. After being taken advantage of by Bobby and Steves, we couldn't trust bringing our sons truck there for a 4th time. After desperately pleading on Facebook Community site for recommendations near or far for the best mechanics around, MANY people recommended Benchmark Auto. Great owners, great staff, loaners available, fair pricing and they above and beyond stand behind their work. I recommended a friend, she has thanked me numerous times, as she recently went through a similar nightmare with shotty dealership work and thousands wasted. We will go nowhere else. Thanks guys!

My Lexus LS460 has some issues with the brakes. I had gone to Benchmark for the first time. They attended to my car promptly gave an estimate which was reasonable. They finished the work in very reasonable time.I feel that I have discovered wonderful service place where your car can get the attention that it needs. I will recommend them to my friends.

First time using benchmark. Had my daughters honda crv a/c repaired for half the price the dealership wanted. Drew and Mike were great to deal with. The next day also had four new tires put on. I am so excited to find Benchmark! I found them when I searched "Lexus Certified Mechanic" and discovered these amazing gentlemen. My car wouldn't start and my original mechanic had closed his business but within hours I had talked to Michael and they had the car repaired at a very reasonable price in no time at all. I am more than thrilled to have found them!!!!

These guys honestly were so great! I even messed up the date of my appointment and missed my 8am drop off and didn't even realize until noon or 1pm that afternoon. They still managed to get me in that afternoon to replace my muffler and still had the rental available for me! I'm new to the area and was recommended this place. I'm so glad I checked them out because I got ripped off at big corporate prepare shop a last fall and have now found my new go to place to get my car repaired!Service: Auto exhaust system repair

I began using Benchmark Auto for there willing to work with us as service company and the demands we put on our fleet vehicles. As the fleet Mgr. for Prairie Electric I continued using them for the value they add to our company. We have been using Benchmark Auto for years. We will continue to use them due to there extensive knowledge and friendly service. The team was awesome! I do most of my own mechanical work, but got stuck on some old seized (rusted) parts I could not break free. I needed some torch and press work. They were happy to assist, were extremely quick, and very well priced for the work. They will be my first call from now on when I get stuck or need more extensive work done to the cars. Keep up the great work!

There are not enough words to express how thankful I am to Benchmark for the service, options and advice I received from them when I found myself without a car. I wish I knew about them earlier as their service is beyond 5 stars! As mentioned, both Drew and Mike not only assessed my car, but assisted me while looking at other cars, let me use their loaner over the weekend and then, offered to sell it to me as another option in my quest to find a used, reliable vehicle.It is a pleasure doing business with them and I actually look forward to bringing my car in as I know they will provide the best solution with honesty - there is 100% trust in them which I can say, I have not experienced very often in the auto service industry. They have my business going forward! Thank you again for the 'too many to name' things you have done for me and my vehicle(s).

Pleasant on the phone and quick to assist! I had my vehicle towed for diagnostics and repair. Timing was excellent and I appreciate them showing me the affected parts and what happened. Our 2013 Acadia air conditioner went out, and the parts are hard to come by, along with a long wait to get them. Micheal suggested a fabrication repair and offered a one-year warranty. So we now have aircondiing again and can report the savings of a few hundred bucks too! Once again, Micheal of Benchmark Auto Repair delivers excellent customer service that is reasonably priced!Services: Auto A/C recharge, Air conditioning

I live out of state and was experiencing transmission issues. I searched online for Automotive repair near me in Edan Prarie. Benches came up with a 5star rating. Not a single negative. I give them 5+. They went above and beyond to get my transmission replaced in a short amount of time. This is a top notch shop. They are the Benchmark!!Service: Transmission replacement

This guy puts in work! Michael runs the shop by himself with his brother giving him a hand when needed. I come in with a bazaar situation where my clutch peddle assembly is broken. See that he already has vehicles being worked on up on the two lifts already. So I ask when is the quickest you can start on my car because other competitive company's were telling me they won't be able to for at least two days! He said he will take a look at it later that day and determine a plan of action. I get a call 3 hours later and he's already done... my clutch peddle is working better then ever and he did it for half the cost i thought it would take! Mike's a hard working dude and determined to put his customers first always. A great honest person who knows what he's doing! I will forever recommend his company! Thanks again and great work bud!

Found a nail in the tire and got it repaired. Mechanic actually found a screw in another tire of the car I didn't know about. Not only that, but he fixed a noisy, rusted heat shield that had been rattling around in my car for months. Luther Hopkins Honda stealership told me it was going to be hundreds of dollars to get to it, lol! Would highly recommend this place to anyone nearby.

quick, affordable and professional. We had our catalitic converter stolen and Benchmark ordered the part from out of state and had us back on the road in 24hours and for about $1200 less and a week sooner than the dealership said they could do it. Outstanding service! My car's A/C went out on Friday. I called the shop after business hours and left a voicemail. Mike returned my call that same evening and shifted his schedule to work on my car first thing Monday morning as I'm moving out of state at the end of the week. He repaired my car the same day and was very pleasant to work with throughout the entire process. Did I say outstanding customer service? I would refer him to anyone I know. Great job! We brought our vehicle in because we thought we needed brakes and the mechanics told us that we didn't. The mechanics are honest and easy to work with. We have been going here for over 4 years and they never over sell. This is a place that you can trust. I highly recommend Benchmark Auto!
