I had the BEST experience buying a car. Mike Thrun listened to everything I wanted and found me a car that was perfect for myself and my lifestyle. Mike Saari worked with me and my finances to ensure I could afford the car, have a low interest rate, and walked me through all financial aspects! As a first time car-buyer, I can say Northstar Ford made my experience one to remember and I will be going back for future vehicles.

Our salesman (Mike) was excellent! We took a vehicle we were interested in for a drive. Most questions asked were answered right away. Anything else was answered promptly. He was very thorough, never missed a beat. After a few days of thought with a plan to buy we discovered the car we wanted was sold off the showroom floor that day! They had others but not that color. Our hearts sank. All I can say is Mike and the Northstar team went out of their way trying to find another identical vehicle. Basically after a 3 state search, a few failed negotiations, their persistence prevailed, and they got us an exact match! I might add that this was all done at a bonus price. We saved thousands! Thank you Northstar Ford! We couldn't be happier!

Every time I brought my vehicle into NorthStar they screwed up the repairs. They are not even competent in doing a fuel filter replacement. I tried to have a handful of safety recalls done. They did none of them but gave me an oil change that I didn t ask for. They never called me back when recall parts were in. I paid $3,000 for a complete break job. They screwed that up and refused to make it right. I have many more examples. I would have gone to another dealer but I was told that it was the same ownership. I have never encountered more incompetent Ford dealer. They should be out of business or need new ownership.

Added a photo to show how a Rustproofing should be done!!!! NORTHSTAR did the first photo, A+ AUTOBODY finished the work!! Refute one of my claims then instead of telling everyone to call you and hide your lies. Dont trust these clowns! Also notice how all tbe 5 stars are giving amazing descriptions of the Salesman and name. With 1 review and 1 photo. Fake 5 Stars!!!Absolute joke of a sales team and rustproofing team. They will not give you a report of the vehicle, even after buying it. No inspection reports. Put Rustproofing on our contract without asking us for $900. Wont refund it. Then after they do the job, its an absolute joke. Didnt even cover the main parts of the truck! Even asked them to do the springs and they didnt even do that. Did not even finish the actual job as several spots have half coverage or literally no coverage.Had to pay another company to finish Rustproofing my Truck since this Ford dealer doesnt give a s... about anything but the sale. Triple check anything you sign from these lying clowns. See pictures of the WONDERFUL RUSTPROOFING. Do not come here! Buy from somewhere else!Person I dealt with - Kaiden

The mobile service I had to address the recall on my vehicle was excellent! It was great to have the service come to me, rather than me going in for my appointment. The only reason for a 4 star review rather than 5 is that the tech was running behind and arrived an hour after scheduled. Once he arrived though, he was pleasant to chat with and resolved the issue very quickly.

I was referred to and had an excellent time at NorthStar Ford of Duluth, MN. More specifically my salesman Matt Coy was a rockstar. I was in and out of there in a few hours after test driving a vehicle with him, discussing my trade in and its value towards a newer vehicle, reaching a handshake agreement and wrapping up the transaction. I would definitely do business with and recommend the establishment to anybody looking for a professional car inquiry or purchase.

About 7 years ago I purchased a car from NorthStar Ford and I was treated so badly that I vowed never to return. But I cautiously went back recently when I saw they had a car I wanted to check out. Matt Coy is the salesperson who helped me and he couldn't have been nicer. I loved the car and I told him my bottom line and he was able to accommodate that so I bought the car. I will return to buy another car at NorthStar in the future as long as Matt is my salesperson.

I had my vehicle scheduled for routine oil change and servicing. The professionalism and knowledge of Alec Avery, my Service Advisor was appreciated. He was able to answer all my questions and educate me a bit on certain functions of my Ford. Service was timely and I appreciated the coffee bar also.

The service department and parts department were awesome the sales people not so much. I asked a direct question to a sales guy about inventory and he just walked away from me. I want to trade in my vehicle and get one that will suit my family better but it won't be from here.

After reviewing so many others reviews on North Star Ford I decided to rewrite My review on North Star Ford.. First and foremost it's really unimaginable to read some of the negative reviews as from My own experiences I myself have experienced a few hiccups along the way but I can say this as facts. I believe North Star Ford does believe in customer satisfaction as well as providing us the customer with nothing but the best!! Our Time and money is definitely what has made Ford so successful especially today 2024 . the truck's have come along ways from year's ago as My first Ford truck I owned was 1972.. Now on to My review.. I walked in North Star Ford's door over a year and half ago and My experience on the sales sides of it have been nothing but the Best.. I honestly state this as Jeff Van meter has been nothing but the most kindest, honest respectable down to earth person I have ever dealt with regarding sales of any kind!! Jeff has not ever deceived me in any way infact Jeff has always gone above and beyond to make sure I was very satisfied with My purchase.. Jeff doesn't treat you just like a customer he treats you like family and makes you feel just like home.. My experience with finance has been just as great .. Aaron is a awesome person to work with especially when you as a customer mean well yet sometimes those good ol credit scores can make it tough for you to finance..Aaron will work hard for you to find you the best interest Rates as well as the best financing for your pocket book.. I have been amazed by how hard these 2 people Jeff and Aaron have worked on my behalf to be able to drive such a beautiful Ford King ranch that has me so pleased with My purchase.. I can't say enough positive things about Jeff or Aaron..I believe people like them is what makes North Star Ford great in my eyes.. now on to My hiccups along the way..ok I understand some people's frustrations and I have tried to really understand how My experiences could be just like there's so I can honestly say this is My concerns of the hiccups I have experienced with the service department.. I have posted My reviews and My concerns were taken very seriously which I believe everyone's concerns/complaints should be.. I was not thinking that North Star Ford was even going to address My concerns and well to My surprise this very Honorable young man named Korey or maybe spelled Corey? Anyway he works for the customer service part of North Star Ford and from My reviews he followed up with me regarding My hiccups.. so now he has left me speechless as I wasn't expecting anyone to actually care nor reach out to me like Corey Did..this young man was so sincere in addressing My hiccups with North Star Ford so I truly believe work is always in progress and as much as they get bad reviews they are really trying hard to make it a better place to serve us The customer.. I feel I can't judge everyone over a couple bad apples so I think it's so important if you are not happy with your service don't just post a review try to reach out and openly communicate with North Star Ford regarding your disatisfaction.. I am sure North Star Ford is willing to listen to you and not just listen but actually address your concerns.. I am sorry to hear about the one's that have had such bad experiences in the past and I can only hope that through honest communication with North Star Ford any and all communication as well as services to others will only be positive experiences.. I went in for maintenance on my Bronco Sport and when it was in I spoke with Matt wanting to sit in a truck to see if it would be something I would be interested in getting in the future. Matt found a beautiful 23 F150 Heritage edition, he worked really hard to get the best rate and I walked out in my new F150. I have bought many vehicles from Northstar and we will keep going back. They treat us well.

Rachel was amazing at helping me with everything! She was thorough on explaining why the current techs couldn t look at something, the error in the computer scheduling for it and promptly set me up for a time when I could get it in. She updated me on my cars warranty as well! She even showed me how to use my ford points. She was very friendly and my car was done with an oil change in appropriate time from schedule appointment.

Drove 2.5 hours to get a 2022 ford explorer .. Matt the salesman I will say is a very nice guy with making a prompt experience. However I told them 4 times I needed a hitch which now I have to pay for to install.. and that I did not want a rental car.. also was assured it was not a rental.. just to find out after signing that it is indeed a rental car.. and the hitch is not on the car. Also a broken USB outlet in the rear .. also a noise coming from the front right strut . And the initial detail job was absolutly terrible!! So other then him being a nice guy to deal with , I am however beyond disappointed in the rest of my experience with these people! I feel I was completely lied to. Imagine that just like the last dealership did to us.

We live in Grand Marais but broke down in Duluth. North Star Ford walked us through everything we needed to do..towing, rental and servicing our vehicle. They sent me a photo of our car as soon as they were able to service it in their garage. Above and beyond expectations! Diagnosed the problem, ordered a part and fixed it the next day.

Oil change service good but any question i bring up on the other side for repairs or answers..i get no answers or let me find out for you? or anything???My vehicle is literally sitting on their lot right now running cuz it won't shut off(push button start)... they had zero answers other then"We got to diagnose it...At 165.00 hr geez that was at 930 still no answer which penalty means is sitting there running all & is 2:45Just sitting here waiting

My new vehicle had a broken tail light when I bought it. Salesman kept my messages and though it took a year due to back order the salesman still provided updates and handled it when the taillight came in though the purchase was a year ago. Quality staff. I saw your response and now am adding to mine. On the day I had the appointment to get the taillight replaced a steel pipe flew out of a semi in front of me headed straight for my windshield at my face putting a 4 inch wide hole on the driver's side. Steve was waiting for me at Northstar and called safeglass for me and shocked I wasn't hurt. Service is impeccable.I brought my vehicle back for an oil change wonderful caribou coffee while I waited. Steve goes all out to ensure customer satisfaction

I ordered a truck from Northstar and when the vehicle finally arrived they charged me and extra $5,000 because of "market value". This was never communicated to me when I ordered the truck. They decided right as the vehicle was available for pickup. I suggest people take their business elsewhere. I found another dealer in the state that was selling the same truck for MSRP even though it was a sought after vehicle.

How would you rate a dealership if the following was your experience?Drove my truck in for motor and brake work. Waited 2 weeks to be told my truck was ready. Asked what they determined the brake issue was, They said they did not look at the brakes. I explained the problem again and followed up in a few days, dealer stated no brake issue found. Followed up 2 -3 days later, oh now the brakes have a $1354 repair.I decided to pick it up and get a 2nd opinion. My winch and mount had been stolen oh and the truck won't start.I brought the stolen winch and no start to their attention. The dealer's answer is...." you signed a waiver exempting us from responsibility ".The passing stranger from out of state and and his small kids and wife in the car gave me more help than the dealer.Sales manager, service manager and GM are all inconsiderate individuals.Yes, I was mad and expressed it....who would not be angry with this experience.***Update. Your response rings hollow. I contacted you several times both to keep my service on schedule and to address both the lack of follow through and the theft. You could not be troubled to even return my call....even at this point.Your claim of vulgarity is false. Nice try. Upset, Darn right! Consider my POV. Truck goes in running, come out not running, and missing a $780 part. oh, and I get to pay you $775.00 for the pleasure.Poor service, poor response. Had you fixed the truck according to your original schedule I would have been back in my possession without the theft. Reading further reviews I see this is a problem at your location. So you are apathetic as well. Or maybe the theft is internal?
