He's a great guy, very reasonable with his prices and does good work. I'm a mechanic and I've gone to him plenty of times and never had any complaints. And if you did have a complaint, he's the type of person that will make sure your satisfied and happy!

I was in town visiting family and had an idler pulley break on my vehicle. I called and spoke to Dan. He got me right in and found the problem. It turns out my daughter's car had a brake hose start leaking on her car that same day, and Dan got her car in, too. Great communication! Great service at a fair price. I highly recommend Johnson's Auto Repair.

Helped me out in a tight spot! I was in town for my son to take his drivers test. The front passenger light/turn signal was out. We had an hour to get it fixed and still take the test. An employee was able to take a walk in customer and get them back on within 10 minutes. My son passed his test!!!

I live on the same block as the shop, I've taken my vehicles here every time after getting quotes. Don't waste your time, just come here. Fair and honest

Dan is just the best. His crew, his son, all the staff are cordial, competent, and fast. I highly recommend their shop. Reasonable prices as well. Way to go Dan.

Workers inside would barely talk to us. Said they d be able to help us out in 15 minutes but ended up waiting over half an hour and ended up walking out. Place is extremely dirty and is filled with junk and garbage all over the floor.

I'm sure they do great repairs but I was never able to get in to have them do a repair. Tried three times and each time they told me to come back. And I had an appointment each time. Good problem to have that they're so busy, but it is a problem nonetheless. Super nice folks and they must do great work because they are so busy.

Classic Duluth problems - destroyed breaks and dead battery. This is the third time I ve gone to them and I m glad I did! Very knowledgeable, friendly, no extra fuss (or surprise costs!), and willing to work with you. When you walk in and talk to the owner you know you are working with a professional, down-to-earth guy. They are great guys. Super friendly, they are educated in automotive exstensively, relatively quick (relative to whatever the problem is) and fair pricing. I'm definitely going back for any other vehicle problems. I even tried to tip more to the mechanic and he said "no that's okay, it's the thought that counts." What a guy.

The one star review with disjointed sentences is lying. You can tell because she says things like "He never fixes the over all problem", implying that she's gone there multiple times despite always getting poor service. Of course only a crazy person would do that. So we can assume she's either lying or crazy or probably both.Anyway, I've always had positive experiences with Johnson's. It's very often been the case that if it's something small and easy, or it was just something stupid that I could have figured out myself if I were more car savvy, he's just waved me off when I reach for my wallet. I've also never had a time where they took more than one day to finish a job. So I'm confident that when I bring my can in, I'll have it back that same day.

50 years experience--After working for Thompson Standard Oil stations Shop Mgr...he went into private ownership. Downtown development forced him to move a few times...so he is here now and owns the land..
