We are not local and had to stop in town after some unexpected car troubles. We are so grateful we found this place! They worked us in quickly and fixed our issue lightning fast. Duluth Motor Company formerly SVS is top notch. The owner is an awesome guy and is honest with you. Always helpful and has a passion for foreign cars. Prices are great and honest. Have brought my BMW and my Volkswagen here and don't ever want to go anywhere else. If you are trying to decide where to bring your foreign car look no further.

Very friendly and understanding, went above and beyond to find and fix the problem with my vehicle. Got me in a bit early and worked quickly and efficiently. Nice location with nearby coffee shops and restaurants to wait at while they work. Smaller parking lot and waiting area (only 2 chairs and lot is pretty full), but well worth the visit for the clear, honest and courteous communication and treatment.

We were in from out of town for a few days and got a dreaded clunking sound in our wheel when we arrived. Very disconcerting when you have the whole family in the car and DMC was able to squeeze us in to take a look and was even able to get our repair done so we could get safely back on the road. They were super helpful and thorough and it was great to find a mechanic away from home that took such great care of us in a pinch! If we were local we would definitely make this our repair shop. Thanks guys!!

I can't even begin to explain the level of integrity at DMC Auto. They are very reasonable with expenses and the customer service is superb. Great place for foreign vehicles. No lazy business here. They value you rather than taking all your money. As long as this place is open, I'll be a life long customer.

Honest, smart and reputable. I trust these guys. We had some issues with manufacturer sending the wrong parts so the car was in the shop for a while. DMC made it right and worked with me on prices and labor costs. Planning on driving my 14 yr old car for a while so I'll be back.

Brought a car in with a major misfire issue. Gave me the run around saying that it had no misfire and said they can look into it more for some $$ long story short they did absolutely nothing to my car and charged me $200. Few miles down the road check engine light came back on with major misfire detected. Would not recommend.Service: Auto engine diagnosticService: Auto engine diagnostic

DMC has done great work on my 2011 BMW. The work coming out of the shop is quality and supported by professionalism and character. I have had a heater core (was covered under warranty, DMC took care of ALL the paperwork). As a small business owner with a foreign car, I cringe (going to a mechanic can be a vulnerable situation but DMC does not take advantage of its customers) every time a light/noise appears but I have learned to not worry, why? Because the staff at DMC has my back with great scheduling, great prices and amazing integrity, I am proud to be a customer!!! Thanks DMC

SVS is simply the best. They have serviced my VW, Toyota, and Subaru. They go above and beyond and have even helped me via telephone when I had car trouble in Minneapolis. I would absolutely 100% recommend them to anyone. They are honest, intelligent, hard working, and the best in the area.

I have brought my cars here reluctantly in the past and it always takes weeks at a time for them to even look at the car. They have horrible customer service and take advantage of the local import drivers. I brought my car there a few weeks ago and they didn't call me to tell me anything and about 4 weeks after I dropped my car off I called them and they said it was going to be twice the price they estimated and it had been done for 2 weeks already. Then my car broke again the same day I got it back. I have been continually dissatisfied with their service and will never be going back. It's worth the tow down to Minneapolis as long as these idiots don't touch the car.

Mark and the other mechanics have worked on my family's Volkswagens for many years. They have been able to do anything we ever needed and were completely honest about cost and schedule. My only complaint is that they have so much work that you usually have to schedule at least a week in advance.

I would rather eat tacks than bring my car anywhere else! These men are professional, straight shooters that will do their very best to give you the most fair price and they have beaten their competitions prices by a landslide! I always used to price check everything and every single time I would need something done, I would call them and they always were more fair and gave me more options! Hats off to SVS - they are fast and reliable and I will not go anywhere else!

The best shop in Duluth. Phil and his staff are super talented and knowledgeable. The only shop I trust to work on my daily drivers to collector exotics. You will be very pleased and they carry my highest recommendation.

They swapped an engine out for me last year, only have had a few CEL pop up since then. And everytime i got the CEL they scanned it, and were able to troubleshoot it for free. Good guys with lots of knowledge and experience working on imports in the twin ports.

So I paid $2000 to have these guys replace a timing chain on an Xterra. They have a one-year warranty on their work And after about six months the chain went out again and they fixed it again. In November when it went out for the third time I just asked for a refund so I could take it to the dealer and get it fixed right. After a bunch of irritating back-and-forth I just sold the truck and ate the $2000. Take your car somewhere else.

ive had duluth motor company work on 3 of my vehicles and i have to say ive been very satisfied, the staff is helpful, honest, and always willing to go above and beyond for me. i highly recommend these guys for vehicle maintenance and repairs

It's expensive to fix your car there.. not more than typical market rates for labor and parts but it's just more than I really want to pay for services on cars. They specialize in foreign cars though. They're alright.
