i ve been coming to bills for years, they always treat you fairly and are very trustworthy. they have helped me with a lot of repairs in the past, even snuck me in to replace my battery in this cold weather! very honest guys work and run this shop! 10/10 would recommend

Had a cat back exhaust system installed, I have been to just about every exhaust professional in town and I will say Bills has been the best price and quickest install I ve experienced to date. I highly recommend them and will be going back when I need work done. Thanks guys!

Up from Missouri fishing. Blew a brake line. Called several shops everyone was booked up. Call them and said we can get you In somewhere today not a problem. Had my truck back fixed within 4 hours. Bill the mechanic that helped me was great!!

Very nice, did quick work on our vehicle. Communication was great. Called with diagnosis, called with update, called when the vehicle was done. They do not offer appointments so it is first come first serve which is very different but was lucky for us as we were able to get our car in first thing in the am and had it back by the afternoon.

This place is simply amazing... After having a couple terrible experiences with various shops around town, we had made an appointment at Johnson Frame and Axle, but upon calling there to see if we could get our car in any earlier than the scheduled appointment, they recommended Bill's. Since then we have had all three of our vehicles in for service, and one of our vehicles we've had in three times. These guys are FAST and CHEAP. They don't do appointments, they just take cars on a first come-first serve basis. Yet, all but once they've had our car done the same day we've dropped it off. The only time they had it for longer was because they were trying to diagnose a problem with our car that was far from standard. After three days of them working on it and trying to diagnose it we expected a bill of well over $1000, yet it was barely $700... Which was BEYOND fair for the amount of work they did. This place is not only my favorite shop in Duluth, it's one of my favorite businesses period. Bill HIMSELF is the one that you will deal with most often, as he works the office and phones himself, which is SO nice to see a business owner taking so much time/effort/pride in his business... We will be lifelong customers here and ANYONE thinking about taking their car here, you will not regret it!

For all your muffler woes, come here please...seriously, I will drive passed all other shops in town to get to Bill's. I've brought my vehicles here since 2011. The crew has excellent knowledge on all things exhaust! Their prices are fair and reasonable. The quality of work is top notch. They usually get me in and out quickly. For a mechanics shop, it's also clean and organized, with a waiting room up front. Customers should feel well taken care of here. They seem to have a strong customer following as they want to keep your business.

Above and beyond honest service and kindness! Fixed my car at AT NO COST. I dropped my vehicle off knowing nothing about cars and assuming I needed exhaust work due to scary noises. They looked at my car same day despite being busy. Turned out to be a quick easy fix and the very kind office mechanic told me no charge :). Thank you!!! Outstanding service, reasonable and fair pricing. They are thorough and don't try to upsell you anything. I love taking my car to them for oil changes. They have consistently been excellent. They have done brakes, struts and muffler for me over the years and I won't trust my car elsewhere.

Everybody makes mistakes. It's all how they get responded to that matters. There was a mistake made with my original repair. Even though they were obviously busy on a late Friday afternoon they apologized and got right on it. They didn't really have the room and the mechanic did the repair away from a lift. I've been going here for years and they have almost been fair and up front.

We desperately needed our front brakes done and we had the parts. They were amazing. Super nice, affordable and I highly recommend them. They even stayed late to finish the job. Will definitely be going back here for all our car work!

I give Bill's Muffler and Brake Company a 5 star rating. Their mechanics are top notch and they always put the customer first. When they check out your vehicle they always call and tell you what they found and what the cost will be. They have even given me a ride home when they serviced my car and then came and picked me up when they were they were done servicing my vehicle. They are competent, courteous, reliable, and always make sure their costumers are satisfied with their work. They are the best company to take your car or truck too when it needs to be serviced in the city of Duluth. That's why I can give them a "5" stars. Roberta Walski

My work vehicle was in a bad way and I had work to get to.Most places were backed up 1 to 2 weeks with repairs. I called here and they got me in and out. Saving me from cancelling work orders.They are First come service and in my book it's was first class service.I also did quick tally of parts and labor, boy was I wrong 200 less than I thought.If I'm in a pickle again they'll be first call on my list.

I have taken my truck to this shop a few times now and I could not be happier with the experience. They know what they are doing and very very pleasant to deal with. the work is awesome and prices are really decent. I would recommend ANYONE who needs work on their vehicles to go see them. They are awesome.

The steep Duluth hills caused my brakes to squeal, so I took my car to Bill s. They determined that there really wasn t anything wrong with them, and sent me on my way free of charge. Thanks Bill s for being helpful and honest.

My brakes were(and still are) sticking. Went here twice and was told that they're fine. Well they're not. After a car ride from Lincoln Park to the mall and back my brakes were red hot and you could smell burning brake pads from a block away! I think if they would have taken the time to remove the wheels and taken the brakes apart they would have seen the problem and would've been an easy fix, however he just took it for a quick spin and thought they felt fine. Problem is they don't start really sticking or dragging until the caliper gets warm and then the piston doesn't want to recede back in. Luckily I found a shop that really listened to what I had to say about the issue I was having.Service: Brakes

I brought my truck in for a very simple exhaust repair. When I went to pick it up there was a loud, persistent slapping noise under the dash that was not there when I dropped it off. I had them listen and all he could tell me was that it s not his fault, he didn t know what happened and he took zero responsibility. I went in for a basic repair and left with a major problem.Service: Exhaust

I was visiting Duluth from out of town and they got me in right away on a Friday for new rear rotors and brake pads when all other places were booked solid until the following week. Great service and very reasonable prices compared to other service shops in Duluth.

Bills put a muffler system on my truck 2 yrs ago. The entire muffler unit had to be replaced today. EVERY weld had come loose and the new muffler shop brought it to my attention the reason was most likely because Bills had put a muffler in built for a gas engine and NOT for my diesil truck. It's no wonder Bills didn't have time to look at it this time. Look out women... It seems you could help Bill clean out his inventory...even if it's not for your vehicle - he'll fix you up!!
