Recently visited this store and they were great. Not only did I have an excellent conversation in general with the employee but he was also very helpful with tips for my car that had nothing to do with the parts I was purchasing. It's that "above and beyond" courtesy that I really appreciated about my visit. Would highly recommend this location

I would like to say a big thanks to Sean and Markus, these gentleman go beyond good customer service! They are so helpful. Sean has especially went out of his way to help me understand my car better and how to use products from their store correctly and effectively. I have always shopped at Advanced, O'Reillys and AutoZone regularly until now. Now I always check to see if Sean is working when I need to buy something, and if he is, that's where my search ends. It's hard to believe that Advanced on Grand used to be my last choice, but that was before, back when it was always some unhelpful lazy guy who just sat in the corner picking his nose or God only knows whatever he was doing:/. Anyways thanks Advanced for finally getting some good faces representing your Grand Ave. store. My battery was awful. Lots of corrosion and leaking fluid. I pulled in at 545pm stressed and wondering how I was going to go out of town tomorrow morning. Immediately Tristen offered to help. He tested my battery and clearly it was not working. Tristen removed the messy bad battery, cleaned up the housing and connections, and placed the new battery. then offered to check my alternator and starter to be sure everything was functioning. I was on my way 45 mins later. I can t thank you enough, Tristen was wonderful, most importantly he didn t make me feel stupid for not knowing anything about my car. Lol.I will be back.

Store hours listed on Google and the Advance Auto website are wrong! They close at 4:00 on the days they are open. I ordered my parts online expecting to pick them up by 6:00 (per my order confirmation!)! But got there and they now close at 4pm. There were two other customers there too that were upset the store hours are incorrect! I ended up going back the next morning and they still hadn t pulled my parts! Service is friendly but poor. I get that businesses are having staffing issues but failure to update your business hours online is just POOR management and/or purposely misleading. Then I completed their customer service survey about this issue and they haven t responded nor even updated their store hours listed online. I probably will still get parts here sometimes (because they actually tend to have them) but I will no longer rely on them as my go-to automotive supply place.

Set up a pick up for in stock part around 4-5pm, drove a half hour one way and arrived at 6:10 to get the part and found the doors locked. Online and signs at the store said open till 8, some piece of paper on the door said open till 6. Waste of time

Customer service experience was 5 stars today . They replaced my wiper blade and they nice gentleman I believe his name was Sean also cleared the snow / huge ice junk off the top of my car that I was unable to reach . Thank you for going out of your way to help me !

New brakes, rotors & caliper pins, on one vehicle. A few other parts for 2nd vehicle, had to get it ordered & wait. As nothing in stock for either sub/truck. They would not honor the online rate either. Then they gave us "use these instead" screws that were the wrong threading & would have ruined my caliper if I blindly put them in.Go to O'Reilly's auto instead, or the dealer for your parts.

Gotta hand it to these guys. I reserved a hub assembly the day before and got to the store and someone had sold it. The GM was there and made it right and bent over backwards to make it right. Good customer service, and that s hard to find. This is why I never go to Oreilly s in Duluth anymore.

Only been there twice, so not someone who knows them well.First time, I threw a belt on my way to work, and quick pulled in to grab the belt. Very helpful guy helped me look (under the hood) to figure out which belt. Unfortunately, was wrong belt, but he was helpful, tried.

One guy was very frustrated using a computer and said he selected my online order incorrectly. He had to let his coworker look at it. His coworker had 4 customers in line. His coworker looked at the receipt and said it was good. I had to wait 15 minutes (4 customers jumped in front) for nothing because the original worker was incompetent with a computer. Customer service 0 stars.

There is a staff member at this store who gave us false information about the return policy, however the store on central entrance was amazing at helping us correct the problem. The store on Grand Ave also, on a different occasion, told us they could not change a battery because they were closing soon, when they had over half and hour until close. We also went up to the central entrance store for that and they put the new battery in no problem. I do NOT recommend the store on Grand Ave. Awful.

The gentleman who helped us was amazing. He had the tools, knowledge, and patience to show us how to change our brake light. He looked up the bulb we needed and we were able to avoid a trip to the mechanic. Now we feel confident that we can do it ourselves next time.

Extremely disappointing service today. Stood at checkout with item for ten minutes while while worker was helping another customer with concerns. That is understandable BUT the dissatisfaction started when his coworker Nate was called out to assist with my transaction. Nate strolls out without even looking at me and decides to answer the phone instead. Needless to say, I set my item on the counter and left. Didn't seem to bother Nate.

The people that work at Advance here in West Duluth are the best. I have gone in multiple times with questions and concerns about my car as my husband is gone for weeks at a time due to his job. They have always taken the time to listen, suggest what I need if anything, and really solve my problems with my car. Today I was worried about my battery because it is old and the weather is so cold even though it is working fine. The gentleman tested my battery for me (it was doing great), cleaned the connections and suggested a cold weather treatment for my gas. I am so relieved. They have never let me down and they do not oversell.

The staff here is very friendly. Advance auto parts have a very large selection of parts and tools they carry so you can fix whT you need to fix. The staff will help you. Identify whT specific part that tour vehicle requires. I had a wheel bearing go out on my pickup while traveling to Bemidji and could not find anyone to fix it so these guys helped me out by not only having the parts but what parts they didn t have they gave me a ride to a place that did. Thanks again you guys for all your help.

The prices are great, but the service is terrible. Make sure you know what part you need and don't let them tell you otherwise, they will give you poor advice. Luckily YouTube is a good place to start if you aren't sure what exact part you will need.

Guess they close at 4pm on Fridays. Google listing says 6pm. It was even confirmed by owner on Google 7 days ago that they close at 6. Waste of gas.

Store was closed at 4:45pm on a Wednesday doors locked. No sign on the door, posted hours say closes at 6pm.

Worst customer service. I brought an starter with life time warranty, and they did not honor it, because the sales man gave me the wrong one, went to there other location had no problem at all, my wife also had problems at 5he west duluth location also customer service
