We had a wonderful family vacation at Hundred Acre Wood Resort. Nice lake with a plentiful variety of fish and convenient fish cleaning shed. The owners are a super nice young family who are updating the cabins for the benefit and enjoyment of their guests. While the cabins are rustic, they harken back to how simple and serene our lives can be if we take a break from our hectic lifestyles and get in touch with nature by spending a fun and relaxing time with family. We hope to return in the future.

I wish I could tell you this place is horrible so we could keep it all to ourselves, but it's fantastic. We stayed in one of the RV sites. We had plenty of room for our 39' motor home and were able to put a screen tent out front. We had full hook-ups with 50 amp service and great water pressure. Scott and his wife are super friendly and very helpful. We rented a boat and had a great time on the lake even though we're not great at fishing. The grounds are clean and well kept. Our extended family stayed in cabins and those were well-appointed. The cabins are old, but everything works well so they're perfect for a week at the lake. This is a fantastic place to spend a week in the summer. We got to see a turtle lay eggs, watch sunsets on the beach, play games together, and just have a great family time. I highly recommend Gus's Hundred Acre Woods.

I LOVED it here, my partner Julio and I were wanting to explore the Lost 40 in the Chippewa Forest and didn't want to spend money on a single night hotel stay due to the high prices. So we found a little camping spot on the Hundred Acre Woods Resort. The bathroom/showers were in very good order, they even had toilettes which included tampons and pads! That on its own is awesome!!! I loved it the host was so kind and gifted us a stickers when we checked in. The view of the lake is soo breath taking.

The owner Scott has gone above and beyond to make sure are stay is top notch! We came from Alabama to Ice fish. I can t express how clean the cabins are for the age of the cabin. Stocked with everything you need . My family has a lasting memory ice fishing in Minnesota! Thank you guys for small town hospitality that goes the extra mile!

My girlfriend my Dad and myself stayed here three nights and you couldn't have asked for anything better! I know you can't guarantee fishing to be good or bad but we had the best luck we'd ever had anywhere. Between my dad and myself we caught close to 60 FISH!! 16 of them were 24" or bigger. We rented a boat from them which had a great little 15HP Yamaha (started everytime) plus some little swivel seats which are much better than. Sitting on the bench. The accommodations were just fine, they had a couple of large cast iron skillets to fry up what we caught plus a decent little kitchen and fridge. There's a state park nearby that the GF and I went on a very scenic walk through. It's right along the mississippi river which was very pretty since the trees were just starting to turn. Overall the experience was tremendous, our little dog loved it too.

Absolutely beautiful view of the lake from cabin 6, as well as most of the other cabins on this resort. Very quiet, yet close by shops in Deer river for those random things you may have forgotten on your trip up north. Owners Scott and Melissa were very hospitable and easy going people. Fishing was great with large northern pike and walleye. Perfect location for a relaxing trip near wildlife and beautiful northern scenery, as well as duck and deer hunting season. Cabins on the resort are comfy and quaint with full amenities, and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning in the future.

We had a great time! We stayed the 2nd week of July, Cabins are nice and have AC, cable, kitchen appliances etc. The kids had a blast enjoying the beach with kayaks and a pattle boat. Great fishing spot, caught numerous Pike, Perch and a few rock bass. Other fisherman seen to do very well too catching Northern Pike, Walleye, Crappie and perch. They have a fish house as well on the grounds if you like to eat what you catch. I would recommend this resort to all my family and friends.

Nice comfortable friendly resort a friend and I went up for snowmobiling had a great time. access to the trail wasn t too difficult a couple miles across the lake down the ditch to the bushwhacker trail some of the bushwhacker trail which could be better marked especially going through or around Deer River. Scott and Melissa were great they loaned me a long extension cord so I can plug in my diesel truck nice folks so our time in the resort was GreatWe will be back again this winter thanks George

Great place to go! Beautiful view of the lake and Scott and Melissa are great and easy going. The resort is older and we'll maintained. We needed a Campsite last minute and they were able to accommodate. We have stayed a couple times and will be back again!!!
