Well this may be a bit long but I need to expose these hacks.I brought a truck in for a fuel delivery issue. They replaced a fuse and charged me $330. Ok cool if it s fixed whatever, but the cause of the blown fuse was never even looked into. I pick up the truck and the next day the truck won t start again I have it towed in again and they have the truck a week with no calls. I finally call them and they tell me it s the brand new fuel pump I just put in. And that they can t do fuel pumps. But they replaced the wires to the fuel pump and I need to pick up the non running truck and they wanted another $860. This shop used to be the best around. I don t know what happened but they are COMPLETE SCAM ARRESTS. BEWARE BRINGING YOUR VEHICLE TO THEM!! After talking with a former employee I was told that the owners don t want to work on any vehicles, they get you in the door and charge you a crazy diagnostic fee and tell you they can t do the work. This completely makes total sense now. And when I confronted them on it they just threatened to call the police. This place needs to be investigated and shut down. They are 100% scamming people. He also told me that they complete the work and then wait days to call the customers so it looks like they put more time into it then they did. They never even test drive the word they do due. I wrote the mileage down and it never even moved at all the first time they did the work. At the very best they are completely incompetent hacks, or they re just out to scam you. Whatever one it is beware. They will leave you with a giant bill and a still broke down vehicle. BEWARE!!!!

These guys really know there business! I brought my truck here for a battery draw that was draining my battery on a daily basis,I was led there by my Uncle Steve who once told me, if you can't find the problem to your vehicle on your own,there the ones to go to and by golly he was right on about how good they are at what they do.And the problem was solved that it was my factory Ford radio that was the culprit of the drain I was having.Having said that I upgraded to a better radio.Kudos to you guys for the great job of finding the problem with my vehicle.I certainly will tell others if there also having electrical issues if no one else can find the problem.Thank you again.

Nice people there. I had an appointment but no ride home, so they did their best to get my vehicle in and done as quickly as possible. I had a difficult wire harness installation and they did a nice job.

Over the many years, the ownership may have changed and the location may have changed, but the one thing that has stayed the same is the exceptional service and very high quality standards. The first time my grandfather did business with Schelen Electric, my father was still in diapers, our family has been doing business with this company for nearly 80 years, it has spanned four generations of my family, we have never been disappointed and always but I'm pressed with the workmanship. When everyone else fails, they will succeed.

My car didn't have working headlights, and after seeking help elsewhere with no solutions made, I was directed here. I called on a Monday, was able to drop off my car Tuesday morning, and had it back by that afternoon. The people who work here are very knowledgeable, and while a lot of places underquote, they didn't. The price they quoted was actually more than I ended up paying! Do not hesitate to give this place your business!

They repaired an old tilt/trim motor for my Mercury outboard. They estimated a week turnaround. Then had it finished the next day. Wonderful quality and service.

They fixed an electrical issue that no other shop would touch and it was only like $400. They were also really chill and helpful about scheduling issues on my end. I see why every mechanic in the TC recommended them.

This place is great. I stopped in there during my lunch break to see if they could fix my broken key fobs (or program one I ordered online). Right away someone helped me (and while he was in the back, 3 other people asked if I needed to be helped). He tried to fix one of the broken ones and it didn't work. He then said he could program the one I ordered if I had a few minutes and he did it right then and it worked! Such amazing customer service.

I took my car in this morning because it had been making a strange noise last night. They got me in right away without an appointment, and within 45 minutes had discovered and fixed the problem (rocks between my brakes and rotors). Best part- they didn't charge me anything!

First time at this shop and they were absolutely fantastic. They got my car back to me within 24 hours, and it was a big job. They also came in under what they originally quoted me. I will recommend them to everyone I know.

When it come to automotive electrical problems. These guys are the BEST. Honest, efficient and they've never let me down. Your every day mechanic will probably coat you twice as much for electrical problems. Trust Schelen-Gray for wiring issues. These guys rock.

Schelen-Gray consistently provides excellent service. Whatever you need for electrical work, it's your one stop shop. Do not waste your time trying to find someone else, you will only be disappointed. They have the answers and they know what they're talking about. I have yet to have any issues with anything we have brought them. Thank you for all your do!

These guys really helped me out by repairing my current alternator. They did it on the spot, it was fast, and I already have it back in and works great. Great service and I would recommend them to anyone looking to not just jump into a replacement part.

This place is the best for electrical work on cars. If you can't figure out what's wrong with your ride, this is the place to go. Extremely well known in the Twin City area for their expert electrical knowledge, reasonable prices, well spoken, polite and courteous mechanics. Don't be misled by the tiny, rundown building. Schelen's offers honest estimates, professional and fair business ethics. The mechanics will explain what's up in easy to understand language. No expensive surprises here. You will be apprised of any changes in estimates, etc., BEFORE they do anything. I cannot say enough good things about Schelen's. People come from all over to have their car fixed here. They are moving to a new building in Lino Lakes in the summer of 2018.

Dashboard Flashing on my Ford Explorer: Ck 'RR Signal Lamp". Driving by Schelen Gray & pulled up near door on Marshall. Nice man changed the bulb. It was blinking fast/something amiss. Late in day/no charge today; bring it in day after tomorrow. Next day when I started the car, all worked fine. (IMO computer reset when I restarted car) Stopped by, told him & thanked him for helping me out. Very courteous service, very helpful, very kind. I highly recommend for electrical repairs/service. Wow!

This is not your dad's Schelen Gray, this a shell of what I heard it used to be.I can not speak of their auto electrical diagnostic and repair, but do NOT take an electric motor to them!!! a lot of hidden costs for them to tell you that you need a new motor...but wait, they have one on the shelf for $20 more than Grainger... but what they don't tell you is that it's a chinese knock off! A great business in St. Paul reduced to sharing a building with an auto shop with a fraction of the size 20 miles north! Do not bring electric motors here!!!!!!!

after close 30 years of my business bring and buying starters there .I bring my start in have it tested and its bad so i order a new one from schelen electric witch i received and installed.a week goes buy and the starter fails so i pull out and bring there they test say its good.mind you im hour away there and back.so i install back in machine.still dont work so i bring back again.he agrees its bad,so they replace i install another few hours more hours of driving and work pulling on my end.another week goes by starter fails again.cant believe its a bad starter so agree with there suggestion bring machine in. and guess what starters bad again that 3 bad starts 2 of them were there new ones.they try to tell me the drive failed cause of wires not having a loop on end of it the factory wire that worked for 10 years...thats just insuting ,i have more the 8 hours on there work replacing there 2 bad new starters and they try to stick me with a bill of $320.00 after arguing for 20 min.that this there fault not mine they drop ther bill to $150.00 thats after i paid close to 300 for a there start they sold me. for working on there bad starterafter they fix it .that was more then the start costed in first place.now i have a there rebuilt start in and they tell me no warranty telling after less then 20 hours of use.that its my fault for buying a after marker start from them.if the starters are so bad why would you sell them to your loyal costumers. thats no way to stand behind a starter.i have no faith in this start or there service.

Dropped my car off all day to fix something minor, called me at the end of the day to tell me they didn t even touch it, and just to make matters worse they attempted to force my windows up and rolled them down more!!
