The range here is well lit and people clean up their casings well. The lack of range matter inside the range is concerning, especially when there's always a number of staff on duty. They have classes and weekly specials so no matter your comfort or skull level you are sure to find something to pique your interests. The app area is of a decent size and the in site repair center is a nice convenience. The staff seems knowledgeable and are very helpful.

Had an amazing experience purchasing a new firearm at Bills Gun Shop & Range. Brandon, one of the sales associates was extremely helpfully and is very knowledgeable. I will be back to take advantage of the free range pass! Thank you!

Spent $1500 on a rifle at the Robbinsdale Location and went to Circle Pines to sight in my scope at the Circle Pines location. Arrived with my case to counter to an employee complaining that he was going to have to clean up my brass. The clerk at the counter asked if I would like a sitting or standing lane and the other employee again complained that he was going to have to clean up my brass. Not sure why they have people like this working there. I planned to purchase 3 boxes of ammo and a lane fee but decided to not inconvenience the poor guy so I picked up my case and left. Also, I was going to collect my brass for a friend who reloads 300 Win Mag rounds.

The people who work here treat you like family. I've had nothing but a spectacular experience with them for both, my gun purchase and range time.I highly recommend their classes too. Incredible instructors like Clay will teach you basic handgun handling then you can graduate up to your conceal carry.Overall A+++++++++

A good place for Long Range. Not many places have a 100yrd indoor range. Limited on certain supplies for Gun parts though. Overall, check your guns and follow the rules. You'd do just fine there. God bless America!

This is one of my favorite hangouts! I'm here no less than every other Wednesday night for the MN Ladies Pistol League. Super group of ladies to learn the ropes and to grow your skills with. The range is clean and well kept and the staff is awesome.

Just left and wont come back. The Staff just complains about some Brad guy the whole time not helping customers. When they do ask to help it is cause the 10 mins of looks from the 7 people waiting. I think Brad need to learn how to lead people and get rid of the trash. They are not working when you are gone Brad. The place is run down and no knowledgeable staff around. New places are open with better options for indoor shooting in the Blaine area.

Store manager is an absolute miserable human being. Me and my buddies went there and loaded our guns on the back counter (we were in the wrong mind you) no warning or anything he took it to the next level and got in our faces and scream cussed at us. I made a comment on the way out to him about how he could have handled it differently and he then proceeded to freak out and threaten to call the cops. We will absolutely never go back there again because of this jerk and his horrible attitude.

Easy to get to and from right from I35W. Parking lot is big enough. Bathroom is clean and for some reason has a shower in it!?

A few decades ago, I bought my first handgun at Bill s. A Gen 3 Glock 19. It was my first gun that I owned. I bought it, with some ammo and hit their range. My new gun jammed repeatedly. It took me a few minutes to realize that the ammo I was sold for my 9mm was .38. I put about 30 rounds of .38 through it before I actually looked at the cartridge stamps. One mistake didn t ruin my gun and I learned an important lesson.I would definitely buy again from Bill s.

This was the first gun store and range I went to when I got started in firearms not that long ago. That first experience absolutely solidified my determination to get into firearms. A former employee set my friend and I on a good path for getting started on safe firearm usage and since then I've gone to purchase and transfer several firearms here.I've by and large felt incredibly happy with the service here. The staff is welcoming and well versed on what is available on the market. In particular, I'd like to thank Gary and Josh for dealing with my questions and purchase requests. Both are incredibly well versed and dedicated in the realm of firearms.Additionally, the facility is good, even if a bit dull looking. There's enough space behind the firing line to comfortably stand around or even sit without feeling crowded. And, as far as I know, this is the only facility with an indoor 50 yard range to zero your sights, which is a huge boon in winter.Ammo and firearm pricing leaves something to be desired, but price matching is available and convenient.Overall, I'm happy to bring my friends here and that speaks volumes.

Range was pretty small and jammed packed tight. Controls to measure distance was terrible. Pricing for range ammo was an absolute a joke. Crazy prices.

I was just turned away because I do not have a friend or family member with me. This is NOT stated on the website and is very critical information to have. I would have gladly brought someone with me if I would have known that policy. I live up near Anoka so this wasn t exactly close by. I m in my 30 s and they said it s a safety issue. Bizarre.

This used to be my favorite range as a kid growing up my uncle will take me here to practice target. Unfortunately the worker are rude and discriminated me as an Asian American. I was trying to buy a rifle I saw 2 weeks ago on the wall but it wasn t on the wall and I was waiting a little long to get help the same guy that check us in for the lane (rude guy) said he has never saw a gun like that on the wall . I was literally holding the rifle on my hand trying to buy it 2 weeks ago but have to wait for my permit to purchase to come in. Even though I show him the photo of it and the gun is not there I was willing to order it but no because the way he communicates with the white Americans and me is totally different. The rude guy have a mustache.

Lots of lanes available to rent. Staff is friendly & courteous. Decent pricing. If they don't have what you're looking for, they can special order it.

short wait / no wait depending on how busy they are. Friendly staff, smooth running range, with a good balance of range rules to keep it that way, without being too restrictive. The only negatives are target holders that are too low for standing (I'm not a fan of skipping rounds off concrete), and the range is just 48 yards long.

Just left the store. Rude workers. Short blonde buzz cut dude was extremely rude and when it was our turned he just pointed behind him and said they will help you out, I m working sales. But, he said it rudely and he was working on the range side so it didn t even make sense that he was doing sales. And we waited about 20 minutes with nobody caring to help us.

Very unsafe, way too expensive. If you're looking for a great place reasonably priced safe where you can bowl practice. Shoot clay pigeons with a beautiful indoor range Metro gun club is the place to go. Only $9 to go in and shoot Bill's gun range $25 save your money go to the best gun range in town Metro gun club next exit down from lake drive

Staff is very friendly and eager to help. They answered all of my questions with a positive attitude. They also offer a military discount. I just wish they had more stuff for sale.

This place has gone down hill over the years. Prices are ridiculously sky high, new layout is a nightmare for purchasing anything or renting a lane. Shooting lane prices have increased while the physical shooting stall has decreased in size. This used to be a good great store, filled with passionate and knowledgeable employees. These days it's just another gun store that takes advantage of its customers.

I ask about a particular firearm. The lady tells me "What I got is out there." 4 other employees in the store. Looked through their inventory a few times. I walked over to the counter again to talk about a specific firearm. They did not even acknowledge me. I said to myself, "I guess I won't buy anything you have out there," as I see them go out for a smoke, and leave not to return.

Great place to check out a gun or go to the range. Rent something before you buy it or bring in your own gun and have fun!

The staff seemed generally friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful while we were there and the range is nice which is why it received the stars it did. The reason I'm deducting stars is due to the discussions the staff were having in between transactions which from reading other reviews may be an issue at this store. While we were there, one of the staff began to bring up politics, the presidency, and the like. I don't care what anyone's political ideologies are, believe what you'd like. But reserve that for more appropriate settings. The thing that made me upset was when one of the staff said they "only reserve the r word (r*tard) for people with the lowest level of intelligence like that of the left vs the right". Having a family member who is mentally handicapped, I found this comment incredibly rude and ignorant, and very offensive. That word is not okay in any context, especially in the course of business and around other customers who may also have mental handicaps. I do not feel comfortable returning to this store for that reason and beings that there are many other ranges and gun stores in the metro area, I will not be returning.

Update 9/18- I was able to address contact one of the management of the store and he responded moments after the I sent the email out. The response was genuine and heart felt with a commitment to take the necessary actions needed to improve customer experience and maintain the stores overall "cool" environment. I appreciate Mr. Monson (the store's owner) and look forward to the seeing the changes as I continue to do business there.Update 9/17 (Customer Service is great except the cussing): I went in today to train at the gun range and as always the employees were superb in getting things setup and answering questions. The only problem that I have is unrestrained and evident unconcern of their conversations in front of customers. Contrary to popular belief everybody doesn't want to here S word this, F word that, using the name of Jesus Christ to express disgust or strong emotion. One of the perks of doing business online not having to deal directly with people, which is actually a perk of shopping locally (relationship building). I hope that this post is seen by the management of Circle Pines, discussed, and rectified.Being that it was my first time going in to a locally owned gun shop I had plenty nerves and thoughts about how things would turn out. To keep it short, this was an awesome experience. All the staff was down to earth. I didn't feel judged or looked down upon, they also didn't talk down to me. As I explained the level of my firearm knowledge, they took out the time to make sure I was well informed before I left the shop, with one of the staff even taking out the time to show me on the spot how to field strip, clean, lubricate, and re-assemble one. Transactions were straight to the point, clearly communicated and friendly without any up-sale jargon or pressures. I will re-iterate they are down to earth people who are were there to simply and professionally help other people. Bills Gun range has earned my business. (Told you I would keep it short).PS I am brown skin man, so for me, this really was an A1 experience. IJS

Their staff was very friendly and welcoming. As someone who hasn't done much shooting, I wasn't sure what to expect. I took their basic handgun familiarization class, and found my money was well spent; the instructor was personable, knowledgeable, and focused on safety. I don't have much to compare it to, but it seemed that their firing range was nice, too. I'll definitely be visiting them again when I feel like getting in some practice.

Store usually has a healthy selection with plenty of staff on hand to help. Prices are about average. Ammo can be a little scarce or expensive, but all ranges charge a little more for convenience. Range is always well-maintained and a great time. If you purchase a firearm, you get a free range pass, which is always a plus. Full-auto rentals available at this location. Definitely among the go-to ranges to enjoy an afternoon with some buddies or to just blow off some steam solo. Highly reccomend!

I've always had a good time here. Sign the waver, pay the $, and go shoot. They don't get in your way as long as you follow the basic rules. Other shooters are safe and respectful as well.Took my pistol carry class here as well and would recommend it.
