Doctor Monte's Auto Repair is amazing! It's always difficult to find a mechanic that's trustworthy, honest, and stands behind their work. Doctor Monte's Auto Repair is just that place. Not only is Monte top notch in the automotive industry, but he's very connected to the Cambridge community, constantly giving back to local organizations, and volunteering for just about anything asked of him. I'm proud to know Monte Dybvig!

Monsters!!! Stay away, they charge way way more for a fake warranty they do not honor. 3500$ in repairs and all recommendations followed, they snaked out and will do to you too ad they have mastered it!!!

Diagnostic after diagnostic charges!! Brought my vehicle in to get a clunking noise looked at and my headlight looked at as i had replaced the bulb and still wouldnt work. First appointment i got a diagnostic charge and they found out what was causing clunking issue. They took a little look at it and said they would look at it again next week when they would fix the sway bar links. Come to today they charge me another diagnostic charge of 114$ to check over the headlight to make up an issue that wouldnt even cause the headlight to be shorted. Quoted me 900$ to just replace the whole assembly.. They did get the sway bar links replaced but definitely wouldnt get the headlight repaired by them. Probably wont be back. Beware of all the diagnostic charges before bringing your vehicles in! Diagnostic should only need to be ran on a vehicle once or you are showing ur incompetence! Update turns out their headlight diagnosis was completely wrong it was only needing pigtail replaced not whole headlight assembly. Place is a money grab!

Had to get all my breaks fixed on my car! Doctor Monte's did a great job and got it all done in a timely matter. They were so nice! Will be going back there again.

Another review. I had to replace my 12-volt battery yesterday. I called Doctor Monte s Auto and I didn t expect it be replaced the same day but it was! Great job to all! So friendly and knowledgeable as well.We have been going here for several years. They always do a great job on servicing our vehicles. Very friendly as well. Dr. Monte's rocks! Professional, reasonably priced but most importantly...honest. Dr. Monte is a great guy and I have had the pleasure of chatting with about his trains on a recent visit.I will only trust my truck to Dr. Montes. The mechanics were able to squeeze us in on a short notice. They looked at my car on Thursday, told me what was wrong with it. I knew what the issue was before hand. They gave me an estimate for a new transmission. Friday afternoon I picked my car up, the job was complete. Monte explained everything to me in detail. This was the first time I have brought my car into the shop. I was very happy with his customer service.

Very reliable and friendly staff. The service is always excellent. Very accommodating to my schedule, which isn t easy. These guys have taken great care of my vehicles for quite some time now. I feel no need to price shop or try other mechanics in the area, I feel that Monteys is simply the best.

Over the last 2 years Monte has done great work on my vehicle. As a son of a mechanic, I generally do my own work. But some tedious task I rather have someone else do it. Some I am particular who works on my vehicle. Monte and his staff diagnosis are always spot on with my own. They do stand by the warranty on their parts.In response to a negative review on "scheduling." Be an adult, follow up with a call later to verify the appointment is scheduled. I do the same with my dentist, making a few minute phone call isn't hard.

Our vehicle is always in good hands with Dr. Monte! We had a couple emergencies this week with two different vehicles - Angie was able to squeeze us into the schedule for both of them -- they provided a free rental vehicle as we waited a day for the first more major repair, and they were able to diagnose and install a new battery (unscheduled) for me in just an hour. We are a family that relies heavily on our vehicles being in working order and we have come to depend on Dr. Monte's and they have always come through for us! Thank you!!

Thank you for always providing excellent service not only to the vehicles but customers as well. We have had many oil changes and even replaced a starter! My vehicle recently came off of the manufacturers warranty and I was looking for shops in the Cambridge area to take it. Monte's was recommended to me by a few people. From the first call to receive a quote for what I needed done to the time I picked up my vehicle everything was as promised. I also received a link to a comprehensive vehicle inspection they perform while my work was being done.

Had my daughter bring her Tahoe in for a check engine light. Monte's quickly and professionally diagnosed the problem, and fixed it. Gave a detailed report of potential problems and maintenance items that need further attention and repairs, which we intend to follow up with hopefully sooner than later. I was traveling, far from home, and I noticed a strange sound coming from my car. Luckily I was just a few blocks away from Doctor Monte's shop. Monte himself didn't hesitate to help me even though they were busy. He and his team diagnosed the problem (a vibrating heat shield--not a safety concern) and I was on my way. I can't thank them enough for putting my mind at ease. These guys are the BEST!!

Doctor Monte's repaired our vehicle last week, and they did a wonderful job. We got a bid from another shop, and Doc Monte's was much lower. They fixed it up quickly, and were up front and honest about the things that needed to be done. They didn't try to upsell us at all. I appreciate that, and will definitely be using them in the future.

I have been coming to Monte's for years and have had several cars serviced throughout that period. It has always been an honest and friendly experience. They are also the only business who has sent me birthday cards that included discounts. Definitely recommend.

I called and spoke directly with Monte the owner. He said he could get my tires mounted on my car right away. So I drive 15 min there and they got me in right away. However the reason I only gave them 1 star is he neglected to tell me that because of Covid they had no waiting room and proceeded to kick me out for 35 min. In 30� weather. I walked around freezing. You should probably warn somebody over the phone about your new Covid rules so they can be prepared. I haven't had to have any car repairs done since Covid started, I had no idea this was an issue.Service: Tires

I especially appreciated Monte explaining to me everything; treating me like an equal rather than putting me down as a woman. I also appreciated him caring by giving me a prevention/maintenance plan for my vehicle. The work was done quickly and completely and priced reasonably. I left feeling esteemed and valued and well-informed.

I am disgusted with this place. My heat was stuck on high, and the diagnoses was the Blower motor control modular/resistor. They quoted me $515.97. I looked online and turns out it's a five minute fix. The only tools needed are a 8mm socket and a flat head screw driver. The part was $13 on ebay. They tried to charge me $516 for a $13 fix! No thanks Dr. Monte This isn't the first time they tried to over charge me. I took my wife's car there a year ago for repairs and we found out after the fact that we were over charged a lot.

I have been a loyal customer of Dr. Monte's for 11 years. They are fair, reasonably priced and honest, not to mention they do quality work.I don't believe that I would be comfortable taking my vehicles any place else.

I moved here from Madison, Wisconsin, two years ago fearful of giving up my 15-year relationship with my mechanic Mike. With Monte it turned out to be a seamless transition. Monte knows how to care for Miss Tennille, my 1994 Honda Accord with almost 200,000 miles. I like it that he explains things to me and shows me the air filter. He tells me when something doesn't need to be addressed yet or at all. Last year on a cold and snowy evening on my commute home, one of my dash lights came on. I called just before closing time but one of his employees stayed on the line and had me check a number of things before giving me the green light to drive it to their shop. They gave me a lift home and fixed up Miss Tennille the next day. I have complete confidence in Monte. AND they have the best waiting area I've ever seen. Some days I really don't want to leave it's so warm and comfortable. And it has history. Ask Monte about it. I actually look forward to my oil changes for a chance to relax, take a breath, and enjoy a really decent cup of coffee. Take your car to Monte. You'll like it.

Very knowledgeable shop. They caught things my regular mechanic missed. I wasn't happy about having to pay labor on what my regular mechanic should have caught. That's not Doctor Montes fault. I'm glad they caught the problem before it caused bigger issues.

When ever I need work done on our vehicles, Doctor Montes is where I bring them. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and very professional. They also have loaner cars available, if you need one. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I really liked that staff was in contact with me during the duration of my repaires. They were honest and very friendly. What I found really nice was that had loaner cars so I didn't have to stop my life or bother others for a ride to work, school or for errands. Great and honest service I would recommend to anyone. I'm proud to say that I support local small businesses!

They always treat me fairly and honestly. My car has a habit of needing repair around the holidays like clockwork. I'm always able to get it in, they keep me updated, and get it fixed. And if something isn't right they back up their work to get it right. They respect their customers and don't do anything without consulting you first.
