Benny's has been great to work with! They are thorough, without being over-the-top. They've allowed me to buy parts if I can find them for less, and charge a fair rate for diagnostics and hourly labor. They've been available in a reasonable amount of time, and I appreciate their responsiveness to my auto needs. Granted, they're not magicians, and have to work within human time-frames and with normal limitations, but they do a great job.

Benny s is a lifesaver. He always does his best to help people get their problems taken care of, what also makes them great human beings, besides good professional. He is very transparent and charges decent prices.

Awesome experience! Been in Byron for just a year and pretty sure we've found our mechanic going forward. Pad and rotor job done for exactly the price quoted, and they even fixed an exhaust leak I forgot to mention. Great price and great service. We'll be back for sure!

Guys were awesome! They got me in the same day I called and went above and beyond to get my passenger mirror installed (they had to rewire things to make sure it would still be able to have the power adjust). Great auto shop! Have been using them for all my auto repairs for 20+ years! Bruce and Benny are some of the best mechanics I have ever experienced. Very knowledgeable and can trust they will take care to fix your car correctly!

We have used Benny's several times and find Bruce (the owner) to be very honest and good at what he does. He runs a small shop and doesn't do anything too complicated, but if it is something that isn't worth doing, he will tell you. If he can't do it, he'll be straightforward and let you know. If you want a shop that is honest and fair, this is the place to go.

I'll introduce myself as someone that has a large amount of experience repairing and diagnosing cars. Unfortunately, due to the transition stage my wife and I are now in planning our careers, we live in an apartment and I no longer have access to a suitable garage in which to do my own repair. Currently, we only have two cars. Thus begins our craptacular journey...My wife and I WERE going to be first time customers of Benny's Auto Repair in Byron. I came in one afternoon and had him inspect our vehicle, since we had noticed the steering column vibrate upon braking. I told Ben that I suspected the tie rods, either inner or outer, were out. Ben investigated and told me the steering column U-joint was out. Thinking that he was a competent repair man, I was willing to give it a try. We made an appointment at 9am two weeks from the date for my wife and daughter to come in, and Ben said he would PREORDER the part.My wife gives me a call at ~9:20am the day of the appointment saying that Ben did NOT preorder the part he thought he needed, and he was unsure if he could get it same day. Ben told my wife the earliest he could get to the vehicle would be 1 or 2pm, which would leave my wife stranded there for 6 hours, AND her car wouldn't be ready until AFTER she needed to go to work. This meant I had to take PTO so I could correct Ben's lack of preparation and severe delay. After some more BS in dealing with Ben the fool finally gets the part and tells us at ~3pm, "Derrrr, we can't fix the car because its the TIE RODs not the steering U-joint, so you should take it to someone else that can also do an alignment..."As a result I wasted my wife/daughter's time, my PTO, and a bunch of running around so Ben could leave us a little worse than we were when we started. Thanks a lot Benny's Auto Repair. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
