They will sell you parts and when they are on back order they will not try hard to let you know. They would rather lose a sale then go to a different distributor they work with to get the part so the customer doesn't have to wait 4 to 5 weeks.

The guys at Pat's small engine are knowledgeable in on almost every brand of equipment out there for small engines. Whether it's their parts or someone else's they always head me in the right direction to what I need and should be doing with my equipment. Their prices are Always super competitive usually being the lowest, and if they can't get the parts they tell you who can.Cost: A+++Quality: A+++Delivery: A++

Ordered a new Kawasaki FS730V Engine from website. Received confirmation and engine arrived within a week. Was all good, only issue was UPS must have tipped the box as oil was leaking (Labels clearly said This End Up, Fragile, Heavy over 100lbs).

Purchased a rebuild kit over the phone being out of state ($500+). Told Josie that this might be a premature purchase as I didn t fully tear the motor down. Asked if there was any fees to return, and was told I have to eat the shipping. Now trying to return, I m being charged a 20% restock fee and Josie says she told me (lie). Manger was rude and I put on hold and passed around to 3 different people who none of which could make the transaction correct. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!

I bought an engine rebuild kit from pats they sent me the wrong pistons in the kit.but he ended up making it right. all it cost me was a return shipping and the difference in the price of the parts which I can't complain about that. all in all I'm satisfied with them

Ordered parts online and didn't receive what I ordered. There was no mention online of my parts not being a stocked item, nor was their shipping policy easy to access. After reaching out to the company to try and make things right I was told I wouldn't be refunded any money and I would have to pay for the additional parts and shipping costs. Was hopeful to have a good experience and get the problem rectified, but unfortunately the company is the only one benefitting from this transaction.

I just want to start off with I would take the poor reviews with a grain of salt and I just read pretty much all 154 of them. I ordered a rebuild kit for an FS600 late afternoon on the 16th of march and 48 hours later I've got 24 different parts some multiples of, in individually wrapped OEM Kawasaki parts packaging with all their markings bar codes etc sitting next to me for a price I don't want to say because I feel like I wasn't charged enough and I'm 1400 miles away. I have not checked fitment yet but I will tomorrow and I know if there's an issue Ill make a phone call and it will be fixed as I've used pats a few times now. The poor reviews sound like people that had engines possibly already oversized didn't know what engine they had what parts to order or how purchasing shipped items works in general. Pats takes serious time out of the rebuild process by offering these kits to independent shops, that time doesn't just go away, pats is putting in that time. Thank you!!!

Recently ordered a deck belt for my Toro Titan HD. Received the belt in a couple days and it was the exact belt that I ordered. Shocker! Can you believe it? Great service, got it fast, and I got what I wanted! Love these guys.

Ordered an engine kit, website claims same day shipping. I'm in Minnesota so I thought I'd buy local. Its been almost a week and still no shipping detail. Emailed them days ago and no response. I've been selling parts for over 20 years.. If we did business like this we'd be out of business. I should've ordered from eBay, where sellers actually care about their reviews and seller scores. Very late update- I did receive my parts, but I'd still suggest better communication. Parts were correct and price was fair. Finished the job and all is well!

Buyer Beware!! Placed an order with this company for a $1,600.00 motor. After a week of receiving no communication (with the exception of the initial order confirmation email) had to send two emails to customer service before receiving a response. Customer service responded that since I was having the part sent to a residential address instead of a commercial address, there would be a $40.00 fee. Since we needed the motor as quickly as possible to repair a mower needed for our landscaping business, I agreed to pay the extra $40.00, provided my payment information, and requested a shipping/delivery date. I then received a response that the motor we ordered was no longer in stock and, due to delays with their vendor, it would be several weeks before they would be back in stock; would we like to wait? Seems very convenient that after no communication regarding the address or extra fee, and then taking $1,700.00, my money is now going to be held hostage while we wait for a new shipment of motors that seem to have magically gone out of stock only AFTER I inquired and paid extra. I have asked for a 100% refund, no response as of yet. We, as a small business, placed trust in another small business, expecting the same level of customer service and open communication that we strive to provide our customers. I have NEVER left a negative review for any business, however I felt this experience warranted a warning to other potential customers.****Edit: They did provide a refund, however, did not receive an email until after I had emailed twice....never received an email prior to myself reaching out. Additionally, it is not possible that a message was left (assuming they mean my cell phone, as stated in their below response) as I can personally attest that my vm box has been full for months.****

Excellent resource for small engine replacement. Large inventory and great shipping . My engine came on time and was well packed to preclude damage. Their price was lower than anyone else I researched. Great experience.

Sad to see some of the poor reviews on here. I've always gotten exactly what I needed at fair prices and with quick shipping. Make sure you give them your full engine model and serial if you aren't positive what you are ordering will work. I suspect a lot of the poor reviews are from shade tree mechanics that are mad they ordered the wrong parts.

New to the area, I call Pats Small Engine to see if they had parts for my Tecumseh carb, like the needle and seat, they said they did, so I went there and took my carburetor along and asked if they had time to install the new parts, which they did and also found out that the float had a hole in it, so they installed a new float also. Got back home and installed the carburetor and fired up the engine and runs like a new one. Highly recommend this business, friendly staff,

I have shopped a few times with PSEP and I have been more than pleased . If you aren't sure what part number you need don't hesitate to call but if you are confident there online ordering is simple and the price and quantity of there parts are OEM at least . I had an issue once with a part and after discussing my issue with there technician they offered to send me replacement parts. My most recent order came so fast . It is nice to work with people who take being professional and doing there best .

I purchased a master re-ring kit for my Kawasaki 25 hp engine recently. It cost me about $195.00 with shipping. My local parts dealers were more like $560-580 for the same parts. The ordering was easy, I had one question before placing the order and was able to speak to a knowledgable and pleasant person on the phone who answered my question. Having read the negative reviews as well as the responses from Pat's I placed the order. Everything came quickly and it was all correct. Glad to say the engine is back up and running. Thanks Pat's for being a part of a great Father/Son project, my son is thrilled with the results.

This out fit will rip you off! I ordered a kit that I thought by all indication was for the machine I was working on, but unfortunately it wasn t, so I tried to return it and because it was over thirty days from date of order and it took weeks to get here and not opening the box right away, they could have done something if they wanted but they don t care about the community at large, a very shameful way to do business, as a small business owner I would have done everything possible to help my customers, they wouldn t help me so beware everyone. Very unsatisfied customer who will never buy for these people again

I ordered a Carburetor to fit my Kawasaki Mule from Pat's Small Engine Plus & gave them the model #, etc. of my Mule.A very nice Young Lady took my order. I paid her $143.60 by PayPal. 12 days later I received it and it wouldn't even Come Close to fitting my Mule.I called for a refund, and Troy said I ordered the wrong part so they have to deduct 20% restocking fee. I said I DID NOT order the Wrong Part, I was Sent the Wrong Part.Anyway, I had to agree let the azzholes deduct their 20% before he would give me a Return Authorization Number, AND I had to pay $12.75 tp ship it back to them.I Highly advise Everyone to NEVER 'Ring their Bell', or you will take a Huge Chance of Being Screwed, like I was.Oh, I bought the Correct carburetor for my Mule from another company for only $26.32.

Bought a new Spartan from Troy on Saturday. Took mower home and had an issue with a sterring link on the lever. Returned with Mower on Monday, they helped me right on the spot in the parking lot. With my old mower, they always lent a helping hand over the phone and have sold me the correct part. To all the negative reviews about parts not being correct, they specifically say on their automated phone info and their website to have the correct part number first. So if you have the correct part number for your mowers' manufacturer, then you're usually in great shape. Will continue to buy future mowers and parts from Pat's.

Purchased a rebuild kit for $290 ended up being the wrong kit that I needed, I sent an email everyday for a week, no response. Finally called the next week and was immediately put on hold because they had a customer at the counter I was on hold for over 10 minutes. With no response I ordered the correct kit and waited for a return number, after waiting days I finally received the return information, today I received a refund for $230 of my $290 even after I purchased another kit from them they still charged an extreme fee for no reason. I will never ever do business with this company ever again. 0/5 if I could! Worst customer service I have ever seen.

Staff seem knowledgeable but kinda misleading in my opinion. Troy was our sales man who seemed to know all the specs on each of the mowers but he tried pushing us into bigger more expensive mowers then we needed claiming that the mowers we were looking at would not be able to mow 5-7 A yards with out having trans issues, engine issues and such, but the hustler mowers that we were looking at were rated to mow 3.5A an hour even mowing twice a week in Minnesota where we might mow half a year would only rack up to 100 hours a year that is literally what these mowers have for warranties 100 hours per year seems kinda off at the end of the day ended up not going with them for our purchase today because it did not seem that Troy was concerned with that we wanted but what he wanted to sell. Another big turn off here was the large difference in their sticker price vs what the were selling with financing, Troy stated that they get charged 3% from the finance company but were upping the prices almost 10% if financing, East Central Diesel only charged 100 ( same financing company Sheffield) and Minnesota Equipments financing charged 125 for the 48 0% )At the end of the day they have a good selection of premium mowers on hand and seem to know what they are talking about but at the end of the day we went another direction.

Product description and photo totally wrong after waiting for shipment for 2 weeks. Then took 3 days to finally get someone from their Return Dept to give a Return Authorization number. Didn't refund original shipping or pay for return shipping.Definitely wouldn't recommend.

They are very easy to deal with, both on line and in person.I ordered a toro part on line and realized it was the wrong part only after attempting to make a repair about a month after I received it.I found out they were only a short distance away from me so I returned the part in person and the part I needed was out of stock so they ordered the correct part for me.Very nice to deal with.

Buyers beware!!!! Stay away from this company. I ordered a pump and repair kit online and paid for overnight shipping. I received my confirmation email that my purchase went threw but no shipping information. So when I called this morning they told me that my item is being dropped shipped from the supplier and they would call back in a few minutes. Almost 3 hours later they called and said that the product is at their location and that the guy had went to an appointment and nobody checked the order. However, if I wanted my product shipped I would have to pay more and it would be 4 days till I might get the product. I told them no and that they should ship it for free as this was there mistake. Brandon then transferred me to Ryan who was extremely rude and stated he would just cancel the order and hung up. I called back same outcome. Third call was to owner who was just as rude and arrogant. He told me that if I wanted the product I would have to pay extra and that I should have called to get an overnight shipping quote. I actually did call first and they said to order online it would be cheaper. I then explained that I wanted to cancel my order and that I was calling my bank for a chargeback on them and I would give a bad online review. The owner Pat got mad and said that I was extorting him by threatening a bad review. He stated he wasn't going to lose money and if I wanted my pump I'd have to pay more. when I told him that this was bad business and asked is this how business is done in MN he said I guess so and depends on where you go. Bad business should have read the reviews. STAY AWAY. I'm pretty sure it's illegal to sell a product, allow the customer to pay for it and then hold hostage the product unless you pay more.

I purchased a replacement engine for a Scag Freedom Z mower. The sales person told me that it would be "plug-n-play" except for the exhaust. So I kept the exhaust from the old engine. However when I received the engine it would turn out that it was not plug-n-play. There was an electrical harness that was missing, a missing bolt and a missing keyway. I called to inquire about these parts. The fella I spoke with was rude and ultimately unhelpful. He told me that those parts were Scag specific and that I would need to contact them. I asked if they might have the parts available since they are also a repair shop and if so could they send them to me? I was willing to pay. He said no they don't do that, contact Scag. When I informed him that I was told that the engine would be plug-n-play except for the exhaust he yawned and said "alright." If I had known that I needed to retain additional stuff off of the old engine, I would have done so. However I was told that only the exhaust would be needed. So that's what I did. Then when I call on them for support, Pat's small engine was rude, unhelpful and in the end the fella blamed me for not keeping more stuff from the old engine. Frustrating. Go anywhere else, avoid this place at all costs.

BEWARE!!! Poor customer service. Read their entire website before ordering. 20% restocking fee so BE CAREFUL! BTW, this 20% is in the fine print on a separate page of their website. No notice at all when ordering. Also, on hold over 10 minutes when calling to set up return. Rep was extremely rude. Advised I would leave a review of my experience, he said "Go Ahead". Obviously this company does not need our business. Go with a more well known company that will have your back when returning.

I provided them with the correct information on my mower and everything was sent to my house as requested. It s amazing when you give someone the correct info how they get you the right parts. Beware of the people who leave negative feedback , there s 2 sides to every story. Thanks guys !!
