I'm from out of town and took my car in to these guys as they were one of the few places open Sat. I knew I had a power steering issue. The guy behind the counter was very nice but they quoted me $1,800+ for a new rack and pinion plus labor. Monday I took it to a local shop that was recommended by a local. I did have a leak at the rack. They addressed my issue for $124 with power steering stop leak and a new hose though while Skip's went right for the most expensive option.

They are really friendly. The best thing is they don't talk to females like they don't know anything. He they try to get you in right away. They do prefer you to make appointments but they do accept walk ins

Great staff and service. Leaking coolant could ve ruined our weekend but Skips got us in the shop and back on the road within hours.

Was here Thursday, Have my truck a/c recharged. The guy said come back Friday morning. It would take an hour. I get here? I have to leave my truck with them to get it serviced??? They need to have a Meeting on Customer service?

We brought in our truck to have a slow leak in the tire checked and they quickly removed the screw from it ! Great fast service. Highly recommend!

They were absolutely amazing! They have an extremely clean and nicely decorated entry. They were very kind. They have very reasonable prices. And they even thought of another thing that they could do to make what we had to do easier. They will get always get my service.

Brought my sons car in to swap out the winter to summer tires. When I got it back it made a terrible noise up front. So I brought it back. Talked with Rick and he explained road noise to me and that they were going to switch them around. I was not happy to say the least. Rick was very professional but I didn t like the answer. Another employee Lee called me back and explained the situation again and how they would look into it more and see what could be done. Lee was kind, understanding and professional. Although I was not happy with the possibility of new tires, he took the time to make me comfortable about what was going on and that they would help me through it.No one likes being told it s going to potentially cost more money, but I couldn t argue with his commitment to service. A job well done!

They waited 4 days before they even checked my car out they broke my drivers side seat had a globe of food or ?? On the passenger seat my car isnt fixed

Utmost professional service. No hassle, no hidden costs, or upselling the client, just straight forward good business.Delivery for the parts needed for repair took one day for delivery.Went in and had new tires purchased, mounted, and an alignment completed.FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE. So get there first thing in the morning as they get swamped with customers close to mid-day, my only advice. Took approximately 4 hours to complete.Sat and waited for the service to be completed since I had nothing else to do for the morning, and got to see how they cater to a generally wide Gambit of customers ranging from simple checks to complicated repairs, as well as the occasional difficult person or phone call. There was never any Flexing, just people who are knowledgeable and Excel at their work and are willing help.The service they provided for me was flawless to include an excellent benefit package provided with no extra charge. Will definitely be a repeat customer and you will as well.

Do not bring any car to this place. I brought my Mercedes because I thought the transmission might be malfunctioning. They told me the transmission needed to be replaced. I told them to go ahead and replace it. They kept the car over two weeks and continual provided excuses as to why it still was not fixed. Finally I decided to take to a MB dealer to have the transmission replaced. The dealer looked over the transmission and said that it was fine. Also Skips told me they changed the transmission fluid and air filter which turned out to be not the truth.

I used to work in a shop for a few years and the main thing we strive for was customer service. My family has known skip for years and the last few times me and my relatives have contacted them for different things the service was horrible. Worst I have seen in a long time. I will no longer contact them for work on anything nor will any of my family. And we will no longer be shopping at car quest in bemidji because we won t do business with a company who allows his employees to treat customers this way. I will also be telling anyone who will listen about our poor experience while directing them to another shop and auto parts store.

I've brought my Jeep to Skip's a few times for miscellaneous work and they have been very accommodating, fair and do a great job at getting it road worthy again. Happy to work with them and will keep coming back for future work :)

I have checked out a fair amount of shops in the area and this place has never disappointed. I've gotten a few services done here and the staff is honest and on top of it. Communication is solid also. I could say a lot more, but to keep it simple, 10/10 so far.

Brought wife's car in to get tires on. Wheel sensors worked when arrived and did not after. Charged us for part not labor. Cause they felt bad for screwing us but wouldn't say it. Bought two sets of tires recently. Will not go back again. Why is it hard to find good tire shop.

I needed to have my brakes checked. They were efficient and polite. Nothing wrong with my brakes. There was some thing else they found though. Could ve been serious. Great guys great service.

My father brought a truck to them (it's final destination was to me). It blew a brake line and he wanted them to fix it. He's 65 years old. He can't do this work himself. The service writer told him it needed new brake lines. My dad said please replace them all. The shackles were broken as well. He said to replace those too. He was told it needed brakes. So he told them to replace them. Over $2,000 later and the truck is in my possession. The rear axle seals were leaking, so I brought the truck to my local shop to fix it ( I live in South Dakota, thankfully). The mechanic fixed the seals. He told me that when he tried to get the left rear caliper off (which had just been off not that long ago at Skip's) the caliper bolt was cross threaded. So I paid them to fix it. He also told me the rear brake lines were crumbling and will need repair. I thought this is what we had paid Skip's thousands of dollars to do. So now here I am, needing to pay for the brake lines that were already paid for but not replaced. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE! Brake lines are a SAFETY issue!! How dare you do something like this to a 65 year old man. Go elsewhere! There are plenty of options in Bemidji.

Was referred to Brian and Skip s by a family member. Brian was excellent in helping me get my car towed and a new starter put in. Everyone that I interacted with at the shop was awesome and friendly. If you need auto repair in bemidji or the surrounding area, this is where to go for sure!

From WI dropping son off at BSU. Got a bolt in my tire. Called at 4PM on a Friday. They were able to get me in so I could travel home. Great service!Service: TiresService: Tires

Super expensive place to visit. I'm sure they do good work but I'd take my business elsewhere. I was disappointed by the lack of service I got. Was not even busy so that was not a valid excuse.
