The staff is all very friendly and trustworthy! Quick turnaround. We live 30 miles from Austin and it s worth the drive to have our car cared for by the mechanic s at Wangen s Automotive. Exceptional service, done right! Highly recommend!

Got me back on the road quickly, they also found a leak and replaced my transcooler lines right before our road trip to Colorado. Thanks to them we enjoyed a full week in the mountains camping off the beaten path!

Went through the carwash and the arm ran over my hood three times even after backing up each time. After I brought this to their attention and showed them the damage they acted like I was making it up. They said they would do something about it and I'm still waiting to hear anything. Stay away from this wash my car went from this to that. Not happy at all!!!!

WARNING This place is under new ownership. Believe me when I say do yourself a favor and stay far far away. New owner should be arrested. He's an outright theif. Has been reported to the Minnesota Attorney General .

I was so appreciative that they were able to squeeze me in the same day to check why the seatbelt chime in my car wouldn't shut off so I wouldn't go absolutely insane driving out of town for the weekend.Jimmy was really great telling me what he was doing and explaining possible issues. Best of all he was able to get it to stop chiming. It ended up being an easy fix, which I expected I'd still have to pay a ton of money, but they were more than fair and I am so grateful for that. I'd totally trust them to be fair and honest to all customers. Thanks so much.

Wangen is the best automotive shop I have ever done business with! Truly, these guys went out of their way on a Friday afternoon to fix our alternator after it died on the interstate. We are from out of town on a trip passing through. They were professional, did quality work, and in excellent timing. I can't recommend them highly enough!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

My truck died at the truck stop in Austin MN. I left it behind and the next day I called. They were great, they went to truck stop and the truck had cooled off and it started and ran. Very prompt and curious service. They can change your wiper blades or rebuild your engine and everything in between. Remember that the best used car is the one you are driving.

The mechanics working here are all very friendly. I had some issues with my car, they replaced an expensive part, turned out I didn't need that part replaced for the issue I had. They admitted the part didn't need to be replaced, and didn't offer a refund, but did replace a couple other things which seemed to help the issue and they lowered the price for those parts. I'm grateful they were willing to work with me after spending so much on the initial part, I'd just prefer the correct part to be replaced/fixed on the initial visit.

Great group of guys and got my GMC Sierra wheel bearing and oil change done at great prices. Got it fixed same day and back on the road. A local customer friendly business! Coupons available often too on line. They know how to do it right the FIRST time. Work done efficiently and correctly, with a smile as well. Once you try them out, there is no other place to check. Jimmy and his crew are A-1.

Charged $1000 ($700 parts)for a water pump (which costs about $100) and front brakes. Ridiculous and robbery! New owner trying to make up for his purchase! We were frequent customers for years. Never again! I suggest one goes elsewhere if they want honesty. It's no longer there.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

While they were awesome about getting my acura in on very short notice and they did replace the alternator in a punctual manner i was very disappointed about a couple other things. 1 they charged me over 100 more then quoted on the phone even though they're were no extra parts or labor involved. 2 when it was spotted off my a/c worked great, froze me even, upon pick up it didn't work anymore. 3 I didn't get back my battery that was originally in the vehicle. They took the new one id bought and put it under the hood. They hooked up the positive and negative cables. They didn't bother to secure the battery however! It was just set inside there! They charged an outdated amount for that too yet I couldn't even return my old battery for the core fee because they kept it. I'm sitting here almost winter wondering if my heater is going to work correctly because the ac sure dont!Service: Electrical

I was traveling through the area and got a flat tire. My AAA brought me here since they are a AAA recommended repair shop. I was pleasantly surprised. The place is comfortable to wait, but it feels like such a nice small-town auto shop with really good employees that enjoy their job. They got me taken care of quickly and back on the road. I don't live here, but I wouldn't hesitate to come back if in the area.

Scheduled an oil change here instead of doing it myself this time. Had it looked over and tires rotated. Very nice and knowledgeable staff. Prices were in the typical range for service. Owner and staff were very helpful in additional services i had asked about regarding the specific vehicle there and other vehicles I have. Will go there again!

Best carwash in town. I come here often to get the Rainbow wash. It's good! But the dryer timer goes from 30 seconds to 20 normally, and then to Zero. Happened to me at least 5 times. Please fix this issue

I have just returned from having major scheduled maintenance done on my Hyundai @ Wangen Automotive. The entire process was absolutely pleasurable. Since our move back to Austin 2 years ago I have tried most of the area's maintenance facilities. I encountered less than helpful front desk personnel, delays, incomplete repairs, unclear billing ... most of the stuff that makes us all uneasy.Then I found Wangen Automotive on the AAA website. I made my initial inquiry about transmission flush, radiator flush, spark plug replacement, etc. via email as I was in cancer treatment in D.C. Frank responded immediately with clear estimates. He then responded quickly and kindly to a follow-up question, and we arranged an appointment for the following week.This morning I took my car in and was greeted by name. Frank took all the time I needed to explain the work planned for today and gave me an estimate of when the car would be done. I noted an extremely clean and uncluttered repair facility. He phoned first to inform me that there might be an hour's delay, and then phoned upon completion. When I returned to pick up the vehicle, he greeted me warmly - yes, warmly and with a bright smile. He took time to go over the invoice, actually made a correction in my favor, and showed me the various parts replaced.It has been years since I have ever used the word "pleasurable" in a car maintenance review. Wangen's has earned it completely!Change!: Frank has left; there is new ownership. At the height of the pandemic masks were not worn; I was pushed into ordering expensive tires. We took our truck in for minor repairs late last week. Gentlemen there where very nice and took care of us and the truck right away ! Picked it up today and Very satisfied with their service and quick turn over ! Will recommend to friends and family for next time .
