I had a wonderful experience with shutters. They have been very helpful, very kind. They work with you. I was even able to use a loner car as I needed to get My kids back-and-forth to school. And work. And do errands, I did end up having to leave it there for 2 days. But again, able to use a loner car really helped out. I definitely recommend Shutters for your vehicle repairs and upkeep.

My friend recommended this auto shop. They were quick to get me in for an appointment. I am impressed that they were straightforward and quick with the pricing and repair time. The quality of their service can't be beat! I've tried other mechanics and I haven't gone anywhere since going here.

Unfortunate experience with poor communicationMy husband scheduled an appointment a few weeks in advance & confirmed I could bring our car on my day off first thing in the morning so I could run errands that afternoon. This is the only car between the two of us. Hours later without an update, my husband called, and they didn t know which car was ours or the issues they were examining. They said they hadn t gotten to our vehicle yet.After another couple hours, my husband called for an update. No answer & no way to leave a voicemail. He tried calling again later, same issue.Finally, after delaying my errands all day, I had to walk to the shop & take the car without it even being looked at. The mechanic said, Oh, I didn t know you had things to do, sorry. I understand they can t predict everything, but we had made the appointment weeks ago, and I m frustrated they accepted a morning drop off if they didn t plan to get to it until late in the afternoon.Disappointed that the mechanic seemed rather aloof & apathetic to our arrangements, especially since we d contacted several times without an update. We now have to schedule with another repair shop.

This is the best & most fair U-Haul I've used in 40-years. They are not open on Sundays, but still accept returns after hours on Saturday & Sundays using the honor system.

I love Shutter s and if I could rate them higher than 5 stars I would! I swear by this auto shop and have been a customer for years, I will always recommend this auto shop above all when someone asks me where to go. They can have a busy schedule but for good reason; the work they do is quality and you know it will be done right and with the utmost care that you will be safe behind the wheel. I ve entrusted this business with two vehicles of mine in the past with a variety of maintenance and repairs; a rebuilt drive-shaft replacement, a/c recharge, light replacement, new tires, oil changes, emergency work (the towing is awesome as well!) and general upkeep and inspections. Everytime I have picked up a vehicle of mine, my wallet has never been upset by the bill. Shutter s never overcharges for any service they provide, especially if you are open about being on a budget. Most businesses nowadays are extremely corporate and un-human, Shutter s treats me like a true family member. 10/5 starsServices: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Auto A/C recharge, Vehicle safety inspection, Oil change

Very friendly and positive experience. I took my car in to get a general check up to make sure everything is in order. They did a few things checked around, and found a few minor things but nothing major. Left me high and dry waiting for a replacement U-Haul rental after I reported vandalism to their property to the Douglas County Sheriff's Department. After being stranded for days, once I make it back to their shop (Had to walk almost 30 plus miles) I was refused not only a refund, but once a replacement truck was located, it too was withheld. Uhual refused to even acknowledge the situation, due to the level of either error or ignorance that is their record keeping system. It seems that to deny the value of your fellow man, is a consequence of an arrogant worship of money.

I suppose as much as my family goes to Shutter's I should write a review. I googled the number for my husband and seen his truck om the picture lol think I need a discount for the truck advertising a wonderful location business. Shutters has always been very good to my family we bring tons of stuff over there. They are fair priced, quick with repairs and such nice people. I don't normally switch from my regular mechanic in town, but with lead times being what they've been, I kept hearing these guys were 2nd best (very good!). I was very pleased with my entire interaction here.Word of note, though, you'll have to call them during their hours or see them in person.

Highly recommend Shutters! Justin, Al and crew are very thorough, honest, trustworthy. Explained exactly what work was needed and in the end the $ amount was UNDER the cost quoted to fix my vehicle. This is the place you go for an honest mechanic. I have been there dozens of times with several different cars. Justin gave me advice on wheels and tires to put on my 4x4. I was very pleased with them. Only draw back, he is getting to popular, I sometimes have to wait 3 days to get in. However, if it is urgent, he'll do his best to get it fixed on the Same day.

Two bad experiences. Can t keep billing straight paid my bill and tells people I did not needed to go into the office with my bank records and meet with Al to clear things up but this is after telling people I didn t pay for a bull weird cause they let me take the truck and never sent a pass due bull or called. Second experience was just on March 31st had a uhaul trailer rented fir pickup get there no trailer and justin never called back to say one word to me when it was coming back or an alternative solution and now it s Saturday guess what still no call. You would think justin would call and apologize for either experience not a chance I will never tell a person to go here

Installed the hitch on my Hybrid Toyota Camry for my bike rack in an hour. $106. Was very happy, it works great! Even though the mechanic said I was a "special kind of stupid" while moving my car into the garage, making judgments when they don't know the situation, I would go again. Maybe tell it to my face next time.

worst place ever!! charged over 500 to get car fixed and it barely made it to Walmart before it was completely fried! I was trying to do something nice for my son, it was his car and all I managed to do was get us ripped off for a car they turned into pure junk. If I could have not given any stars I would have. This was along time ago but the place is the same. I cringe anytime I have to go near it.

They are just the best tire guys in town. Reasonable pricing, I got in the same day for a quick repair. Cheaper price than quoted on the phone actually. Refreshing that a business lowers the price when less work was needed.

I love the guys there. Super sweet and go the extra mile. I won't go anywhere else! Also when available they have a loaner vehicle or give you a ride home and pick you up! (Jackie Cessna)

Renting a Uhaul from this site, called about adjusting my rental and had very rude service. They are lucky that this is one of the few places to rent from in Alex or I would gladly take my business elsewhere.

Justin the owner was soo helpful!!! I was vacationing in Alexandria this past weekend and noticed a nail in my tire. I googled tire places in this area on Saturday evening and his shop popped up - as open 24 hours. I emailed him thinking I likely wouldn't hear from him until Monday, but he emailed me right back Saturday and Sunday answering all my questions AND got me in Monday morning early. His team plugged the hole in my tire within 20 minutes. I'd *highly* recommend this car place and Justin (owner) was so great to work with.

Replaced rear windshield wiper motor on my 2009 Lexus RX350. Very timely and much more affordable compared to driving to the Twin Cities and having it fixed at the Lexus dealer. Very pleased. Nice honest staff!

Shutters Auto absolutely recommendation worthy. Allen the mechanic, surpassed my professional & honest expectations. However, after hours & weekend towing service failed.
