I am in a wheelchair and we were able to get a wheelchair handicapped room. The room was beautiful. The bed was so comfortable and the pillows felt like heaven. The shower worked out perfectly because it was a roll in shower that had a seat in it that was easy to move onto from my wheelchair. The only thing that was a little difficult was getting onto the toilet. They do have 2 sets of bars around the toilet but they need an extra bar on the right side too. It would have made things a lot easier. Otherwise, we would definitely stay here again!

Albert Lea is my home town. This was the best place in town when new, very classy. Some of the class remains. There were bad years. The negative comments have some truth. However, for the price, this is a fantastic place. This week was my first time on the 3rd floor on the east end. The room was very large compared to rooms I have had that were closer to the main desk. The room was recently painted as part of their ongoing improvements. The pool is spacious. The rope separating shallow from deep was gone, yielding a little my length for swimming a few laps.

What a lovely hotel. It has old charm and many updates. David at the front desk was just wonderful. From our phone call asking questions to being ready for us when we arrived just stellar service!! We will choose this hotel any time we are in Albert Lea.Rooms: Very clean and spacious. It is an old hotel so we were surprised at how updated the rooms were. The bathrooms were not updated but very nice.

The friend desk attendant who was working Christmas Eve and Christmas morning was so kind and down to earth. She brought my kids a basketball for the pool without us even asking. Very attentive to our needs. If it wasn t for her kindness and hospitality, I m not sure how it would have gone. The only thing is that my reservation was randomly cancelled about a half hour i booked it, so i had to call to make a new one. I m just hoping it doesn t charge me for the room since it may be considered a late cancellation!

My husband commented on how shiny the floors were when we entered. This was a very nice and reasonable place to stay overnight since we were coming back from South Dakota still en route home in Wisconsin. There is a restaurant attached to this hotel, where they had a ample continental breakfast available for guests. There is a beautiful looking pool at this facility but we were not prepared to use the pool. We would definitely stay at this Ramada again and it's good to know we have another place to stay when we're traveling I-90. This Ramada is located off of I-90 and I-35 at Exit 12. It was convenient to get to and not difficult to get back on to the interstates. The service was efficient, friendly, and helpful.

We were passing through & needed a place to spend the night. The night manager was friendly & helped us get a better deal as rooms were higher than we wanted to pay due to baseball tournaments in the area. Room was very basic & rough around the edges, but it served our needs. Hotel looks like at one time it was a lovely place it has good bones, but needs money put into it to make it grand again. Breakfast was ok, with items to reheat or make a waffle. Breakfast hostess was very nice & kept things well stocked.

me, my mother and father, and grandparents went after my birthday and while writing this i have a sore throat after sleeping there and my grandparents first room was terrible. it had a bad smell and the tv didnt work and the fridge smelled of vinegar and the room they got as a replacement had kids clothes in random places, kid socks under the fridge, and cigarette butts under one of the stands. 1/10 do not recommend

Julie at the front desk was very helpful, friendly, and professional. Three of us came in at the same time to check-in as she was assisting two other guests. She got all if us checked in quickly. The room was newly remodeled and the beds very comfortable. We were disappointed there wasn't a hot tub, but that wasn't a huge deal. The only reason for this rating to not be a 5 is because the breakfast left a lot to be desired. We ended up eating on the road. Overall, we were very satisfied.

Everything was great. Except the shower was half broken, and there were other people's hair in it. Otherwise everything else was real nice! Great breakfast selection, really liked the little bottles of dove shampoo and conditioner and the fact everytime you wanted coffee it was a fresh brew machine in the lobby. With a hot water choice!

Stopped on a whim on my journey north. Easy to find, huge parking lot, handicap accessible, lots of restaurants, services, shopping near by.I loved the hardwood floor in my room. Absolutely loved it. Little touches like a thermostat, separate coffee area, massage shower head with temperature showing, etc were nice, too. They forgot to ask me about breakfast at check in, so I didn't get breakfast which was a bummer. I felt that took away from the value of the room.Nice big pool, small fitness center, big lobby, vending & ice in lobby. Room was right at $100 with taxes and fees. That seemed fair except for the breakfast mishap.

Service was almost nil. Asked for new towels 3 times in 3 day stay never got them. Fire alarm goes off every night about 1130pm for no apparent reason. Very outdated and old motel. Internet wireless is not reliable foe business uses. Employees are loud in the hallways and are very unprofessional when conducting business. Was only motel with rooms for the weekend and I see why.

The rooms were nasty the blanket had blood spots on them the beds were uncomfortable and very small. It's looks so nice when u walk in they have granite flooring and beautiful decor then yer like u could have stuck some of that cash into the rooms cause those suck. They used to have a hot tub and just covered it with a board. Unimpressed.....

Very clean! Good size rooms, comfortable bed.Breakfast had many options.Their hot tub is permanently closed. We didn't use the pool, but it looked nice and lots of kids were having fun.Nearby activities: The hotel restaurant is temporarily closed, but we tried Trumble's 2.OH based on a tip from one of the "locals".I think it has a new owner.Excellent food, real mashed potatoes and good specials. They have a bar, but it was not noisy (went on Sat night).

The hotel is SUPER clean, quiet, and very nice. The staff is extremely friendly too. Our car broke down on a Sunday (when no one is open to fix it). The guy at the front desk gave us a discount, told us what restaurants were within walking distance, and they are letting us do a late check out because we can't get the car fixed until the afternoon. They recently remodeled the interior of the hotel and it is super nice! Lovely pool area as well. I highly recommend this hotel!

We got a good night's sleep. It was nice and quiet. Staff was unbelievably kind. The place just needs some work.Rooms: Room was very clean. Refrigerator didn't work, toilet was on verge of backing up after each use, and had to be flushed multiple times and had to raise handle to get it to shut off. The exhaust fan in bathroom would not shut off. Fitted sheet on bed came off during the night.Safety: Felt very safe, was in a nice area. All doors locked and we're not blocked open.Walkability: Could walk to a nice restaurant and a Casey's storeNoteworthy details: The staff, everyone one of them I came across was very polite and helpful. This place needs some TLC but all in all was good value. Pool is incredible.

Customer service was great, hotel is beautiful. Floors could have been cleaner in the rooms but would stay here again.Rooms: We stayed in the King Suite and it was very spacious and had double everything so we had 2 bathrooms, two coffee pots, two tv's, two mini fridges, 2 doors- it was perfect for parents and teens (or 2 people traveling together) to have their own space!Food & drinks: Several options for food and drinks nearby

This place is a joke, looks beautiful when you walk through the doors but then the rooms are another story. The walls and ceilings are falling apart, floors aren't moped the stairs haven't been vacuumed in several days from what it looks like. the breakfast is a complete joke, You have to microwave frozen sandwiches, waffles, they don't cook any food. Completely unhappy with this hotel

We stayed during the ice storm/power outage. I was grateful they had rooms open! Check in was hectic, lots of people checking in, and reservations by phone..the lady at the front desk was outstanding! Our room was nice....clean, warm, fridge & microwave worked great. Most of all, I was thrilled to see a HOT TUB and POOL! The hotel was packed, but we were able to enjoy the hot tub/pool in peace the next morning. We stayed a extra night, and decided to stay here from now on whenever we want to bring the kids for a change of scenery. The last time we stayed was a few nights ago. Breakfast was excellent(cheesy scrambled eggs made fresh!) I took my little guy swimming before checkout, each morning the hot tub was drained and refilled...and pool was cleaned too. Hope to visit again in a few weeks!

I stay here when I'm in the area and I've never had a bad stay. The rooms are clean, comfortable, the staff is fantastic. There is no longer a hot tub but the pool still looks beautiful and there's a nice fitness center. The attached restaurant has also closed but there's a few really good options for dining nearby.
