Very satisfied with the service plus transporting me home and picked me up when repairs were done. Shop very clean and employees very neat appearing....employees are ALL fine gentlemen. The situation was explained to me very well and in easy to understand language. I sure would recommend this place.

They have given me an immediate response to fix my deflated tire right there and then. They were fully booked on that day but they still gave me a privilege to be serviced first hand - I m assuming because the tire repair that I needed is just a 5-10min job. I m very happy and satisfied with the customer service and the repair service overall. Thank you R&S Automotive. You re the best!

Had a great experience here. Found this place through searching the Costco auto save program. I also needed a new local auto shop anyway since my move to St. Paul a couple of years ago. Convenient location close to the highway. When dropping my car off, I was alone (planned an Uber), but Rick asked if I lived nearby and needed a ride home. This was above and beyond service for me, of course. Very kind gentlemen. Couldn't get my sporadic car issue addressed since my car wasn't acting up at the time, and I appreciate their honesty to not waste time or money on it! I will certainly be back for that if it happens again, and other issues/services as they are needed! I'm glad to find a great place to bring my business to! Thanks, R&S!!

I came in Friday and found out that they were closed but I noticed somebody on a forklift and I told him I was just there to get a tire remounted on a rim.. it ended up being the owner and his son and even though they're only there for 15 minutes dropping something off they told me to bring the tire on out and they helped me. They also plugged a nail that they found and they did it all for me free of charge. I just want to say you don't find these kind of things from businesses that much nowadays where they go out of the way and actually care about an issue you might have I'm very glad I went there and they definitely show that they are many steps above any other shop I've ever been at.

Both my husband and I have had our vehicles repaired by R&S. My husband owned a 2007 Silverado that he gave to his daughter and he now owns a 1999 Lincoln Town Car. I own a 2013 Malibu turbo. Both of us like driving our vehicles until they are impractical to repair. R&S provides a breakdown of repair costs (parts, labor, tax) and, barring extenuating circumstances, completes the repair on time. I recently had the front Quickstruts replaced on my Malibu and the price was hundreds of dollars less than either Midas or the dealership where I bought my car. The dealership didn't even price out the Quickstrut assembly, only the strut itself as that was what they had in stock. My car needed the entire strut assembly which Jeff at R&S ordered. Due to supply chain shortages, it took a couple of weeks to get the parts. If you are a Costco member, check the Costco auto program as you can get 15% off parts and service for repair shops in its preferred network. You just have to put in Vehicle Make, your name, phone #, and your Costco Membership # to locate a participating service center near you. You will receive an authorization number via email that you give to the repair shop at time of payment to receive a 15% discount. The authorization expires after a couple weeks but just repeat the process above to get a new authorization. I highly recommend R&S even if you are not a Costco member as Costco selects its repair shops based on strict criteria including a history of excellent customer service. Both my husband and I can vouch for that. Happy driving.

After having my brakes repaired here my car started making a terrible noise and was unable to be driven. I called R&S to see if they would be able to take a look at the car and explained my concerns of the possibility the noise being from the work they had done on the brakes. They went above and beyond to find a solution. They came out and towed the car and were able to fit in looking at it on a completely booked day to find and fix the problem. They were understanding and after finding the problem fixed it for free and also didn t change for the tow. High quality business practice, high quality work, and high quality people. I would recommend anyone who needs work done get it done here !

The team was patient and supportive of my car anxieties (I fear being stranded) and took care of my car right away. They must be very knowledgeable to get it diagnosed and fixed so quickly! I think the guy I talked to was Rick - will definitely come back! Thank you for your expertise and efficiency. I was back home in record time.

I have a mechanic in my family and know the business. One day I needed a repair that he didn't want to touch, (blown out spark plug on company work van, debris inside engine cylinder), so I asked him about this shop near my house - R&S - and he said "oh yea take it there, they're good guys."He was right!Most important in a mechanic (I think) is honesty, and Rick is as straight a shooter as you'll find. Saved me money by not doing work that I thought it needed. Try to find that somewhere else.I've been back 4 times since for fuel pump, shocks, wheel bearings, tires, alignment and always impressed with the service.Pricing is very fair for the expertise in house.You know they know their stuff when their lot is full of high performance custom cars in the summer.

I call them ripoff and swindle. I had my van in for a gas tank leak, they told me the tank was shot (which it was not) and charged me for a new tank and fuel pump. (I took the old tank and another mechanic told me it was just the seal that was leaking). When they went to start it they said it would not start so they had to replace all my plugs (which had less than 3,000 miles on) and told me they were the problem it would not start. Never went back there again.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Fuel delivery, Auto maintenance

I work here so you know its got to be a great place to have your vehicle serviced. We pride ourselves on diagnosing vehicles correctly, repairing or replacing only whats needed, giving the customer a detailed estimate of how much the repair will cost before any work is performed and performing the repair in a timely manner. For large jobs we offer loaner vehicles so customers are able to carry on with their life. The loaner vehicles are free to use, all we ask is that you have valid insurance and you replace whatever fuel you use. Also, we employ ASE Certified Technicians with many years of experience. I myself am a ASE Certified Master Auto Technician with 40 years of experience and hundreds of hours of training to repair all systems on newer vehicles.

I found myself in a bit of a pickle this week when I was driving down in Burnsville and ran over a large metal stake that had fallen on the highway. Managed to make it to a gas station, found that my car was pouring out gas, and was frantically looking for an affordable tow service and repair place nearer to my home in Saint Paul. I chose R&S because of their reviews, and boy, I was not disappointed. When I first called I spoke to Jeff who was extremely understanding and sympathetic. They were able to tow my car to their shop at a very affordable rate, were very good at communicating what was going on with my vehicle, offered me a free loaner car, and the over all bill was extremely reasonable for the damage that was done (punctured fuel tank). They are super flexible and extremely helpful. Its hard to find a car repair place that is trustworthy and does good work. It's too bad I discovered them because of this incident, but I will definitely be a repeat customer in the future. Great service!

Pros: Alignment, parking brake adjustment, coolant system pressure test all seemingly performed right. Car goes straight, they properly advised on brake pad replacement, parking brake works right!Cons: Car not ready on time causing me to be late for work, my car key was left in the car after service completed and they couldn't find it (it was the nicest car visible on lot at the time and just waiting to be stolen)Services: Vehicle Inspection, Wheel alignment, Brakes

R&S Automotive ROCKS!!!!My car is 15 years old and almost at 200,000 miles. I recently noticed a decline in my trusty car's performance and was trying to decide if I should put more money into it or get a new vehicle.I'm so happy I decided to take it to R&S Automotive!I interacted with Rick the most. He's knowledgeable, trustworthy, and fair. I've had my car serviced at many different places and experienced service people and technicians who were condescending toward me because I didn't know a lot about cars. I NEVER felt that way working with Rick. He really listened to everything I had to say and gave me fair, honest opinions/recommendations when I asked for them.R&S gave me a loaner car while they were working on my vehicle, which worked out very well. They repaired everything at a fair price. My car rode so well when I picked it up, I had to call Jeff to say "THANK YOU" again! My car is riding like it used to, and I am thrilled!I know this is long, but there is so much to say about the people at R&S and the work they do. I've never had to wait to get my car in for service. The mechanics do fast, efficient, excellent work, and everyone at R&S has been friendly and responsive.Thank you, R&S, for taking such good care of me and my car! You guys are stuck with me for life now!

After 2 laughably horrible experiences in the Roseville/Shoreview/Little Canada area at other shops I'll give this place 5 stars. Recently I took my car into a shop near me that shall not be named since they somehow convinced google to delete my 1 star comment. The shop that shall not be named tried to charge me $1700 in udder nonsense to fix an issue that they misdiagnosed. I kid you not, they wanted almost $93 in labor to replace a battery! Two weeks later my car died in a parking lot and I needed to have it towed (I specifically avoided the shop that shall not be named even though it was closer.) I was a little nervous about towing it to a shop I didn't know anything about but they did a really great job! They found out my car my issue was an electrical grounding problem and the throttle body needed to be cleaned. My dead car came back to life and runs great! I wouldn't say this place is dirt cheap (looks like $120 in labor/hr) but I would say you really get what you pay for and having mechanics who actually know what they are talking about is 100% worth it! Nice job R&S you just won a local customer!

Let's be honest - the days when you need a tow, a mechanic, or a courtesy vehicle are usually not your best days. The crew at R&S has made the difference for me on those days with quick response, straightforward assessment, and as much convenience as the situation could offer. If you are in the area, they should be your first call.

Brought my van in because my windshield wipers stopped working, and as I work in construction and there was a full week forecast for rain, this would have been a big problem for me. They got me in first thing the next day morning on a Tuesday. Turns out the wiper motor is connected to the transmission assembly, and due to this, the whole thing has to be replaced. They called me before proceeding with any work due to this costing more than a simple wiper motor to explain what it was, and to verify I was alright spending that much before they started due to it being more complicated than they said on the phone prior to knowing my vehicle model. Rick's customer service was excellent, they fixed the problem, and they got me in last second. Could have just done the work and let me show up with sticker shock. Will be returning here in the future for any additional vehicle problems.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

Been there 3-4 times and they can get you in pretty quickly and seem to be honest and have fair prices. Good work and good communication through the work. Also they have loaner cars which is a huge benefit.

My husband and I have taken our cars here multiple times. I have a Nissan, he has a Toyota. They don't always get your car looked at quickly, but once they do, the work is done quickly. Their prices are as reasonable as repair prices can be, and once my total bill actually ended up being less than they quoted me! They also have free loaner cars if you need one.

The entire staff was friendly and helpful from the second they answered the phone entirely though the service. They go above and beyond to help the customer and have patience explaining to those of us who know nothing about cars. I truly feel like these guys do the job for the customer and not for the money they make. They gave me honest advice even if it meant me leaving without spending a dime. So grateful to R&S and would highly recommend to anyone in need of auto servicing! Thanks R&S!!

I absolutely love the customer service and level of expertise at R & S. I was referred here after I made a several phone calls to different auto shops looking to repair my car. The dealership quoted me at over $5000 and told me my warranty doesn't cover it (extremely rude as well). When I called for a quote at R & S, I spoke with Rick and he was very helpful and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to contact my warranty to have them come out and prove to them this was a manufacturer defect. Although he couldn't get them to cover the full cost (only half) it was the time and effort that he put into helping me out that really showed they put their customers first. It took a few days to repair my car but they offered me a loaner car. I would highly recommend this auto shop. I had a positive experience here and I believe this is one of those shops that won't try to cheat you for your hard earned money.

We moved to Rochester MN, hope to find a great mechanic shop like these guys. Great service and the prices are not bad. They are always willing to work with you. I trust them for sure. Thank you guys for your auto service.
