My alternator went out with no warning today. AAA recommended Wolverine auto for repairs. My vehicle was towed here and I was taken care of from the very beginning. My car was ready on the same day. The price was very reasonable. I highly recommend. Friendly service.

For collision and emergency engine repair I trust AAA recommendations. Wolverine Auto Repair is AAA approved and received my towed in car. They were quick to diagnose and even tried a sensor fix first, at no charge, to see if that would clear the code. In the end had a major repair, but impressed by the technical knowledge, advice of the shop, and professionalism.

We had a major unexpected repair on one of our cars. We are new to the area and someone told us about Wolverine Auto in Ypsilanti. They were communicative, kind, helpful, honest, and went above and beyond! We have definitely found our new mechanics! Thank you so much for the great work!

After getting my son's car diagnosed and getting a quote from a dealership for an alternator and belt, called Wolverine Auto Repair whose price was significantly lower. Dropped the car off to them on Sunday evening, called on Monday morning to discuss, and the repair was completed by Monday afternoon. Couldn't be happier. They were fair and fast. I would gladly bring my son's car there again if repairs were needed.

Shoutout to wolverine auto and especially the old guy working there. Quick service, welcoming customer service over the phone and when I walked in. Gave me a discount on my repair cost for using AAA to get my car towed there. so im highly appreciative of that.

This is a great shop. They repaired other parts on our car in the past and did an outstanding job. This time they repaired valves on the engine. They did a great job. Also, the repair fee was always reasonable. I recommend Wolverine Auto Repair. Thanks Mr Lloyd and staff

Our brake line failed a few days before we had planned a vacation. We had a lot of anxiety that the car would be unavailable or that the cost would force us to cancel our plans. But we were wrong to be anxious; Wolverine took exquisite care of us! We've consistently found them to complete work promptly and affordably.

Worst service I've ever had to endure. Had my car towed to their shop to have the radiator replaced in it and they refused to do service unless they replaced both the radiator and support for $1100, called the next day after looking around and they said now they'd do it for $1300!!!Went across the street and had it done for less than half that price.

I was towed here by AAA to fix a broken fuel line. They checked out my car right away, and once the parts came in had it fixed in no time. The cost was very reasonable and my car is running great. Highly recommend.

I took my car into Wolverine to have front brakes and rotors replaced...a simple brake job. Anyway when I picked my car up I noticed the brakes weren't as smooth as they had been before the repair and the brakes were quite noisy especially when releasing the brake pedal. I took it back because of the loud scrubbing noise made when releasing the brake pedal...they said they could find nothing wrong and heard no noises. No way they didn't hear the noise coming from the brakes. The second time I picked my car up the noise was still there and now the steering wheel was shaking bad when driving...not braking but driving...it wasn't like that before!!! I decided I wasn't taking my car back there and went to another recommended auto repair shop and a Ford dealership and was told by both that the noises from the brakes was because they had used the most cheapest generic parts to replace my brakes. Chalked it up as a loss and had brakes re-done and now they are much smoother with no loud scrubbing noises. Still trying to figure out the shake in the steering wheel. They thought maybe it was a tire balancing issue but that didn't fix the problem that THEY caused! Also when I went to get new tires after the 1st brake repair I realized my wheel lock was not in my vehicle. Called Wolverine to see if they had it...after all they were the only ones at that point who had done any work on the car and of course it was there. The older gentleman who's at the front desk seemed to have an attitude because I came back for my wheel lock! My car has not driven the same since taking it to Wolverine Auto and I'm afraid it never will. DON'T TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!!! I WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO THEM! If I could give them 0 stars I would!Service: Auto brake replacement

Warning! Beware of this place! Fraudulent activities here. I was told so many contradictory things by different people. They act nice and say sir a lot and you think well it s a family business they should have some integrity . Basically if you take your car here and you don t know a lot about cars they will try to swindle you. I would give zero stars if I could. Was told it would cost 2k one time and 4.5k another time to fix the car, got my car out of the place after many red flags and got my car fixed for 900 at another place. Stay away from this place. And look at the other negative review

When you are a woman, it is easy to be took an advantage of when trying to get car repairs. My task was to get my blower motor fixed and I thought to tires on my car. I took the vehicle to another location locally because that mechanic worked on my car beforeIt turns out that mechanic wanted to charge me double the amount of what it would cost to complete the car repairs on my car.Equally, another mechanic locally claimed I needed new tires on my car after getting a lot of work done, where they were questionable as well. I decided to wait on getting the tires done at that location as a result.Luckily my son had to get a car repair recently and he talked about how great the experience was at Wolverine Auto Repair in Ypsilanti Township I decided to give them a go and see if they could fix the two problems with my vehicle. Not only was Lloyd professional, he also explained what would need to be done to my car why it needs to to be done and let me know that he would look at the tires to see if they need it replacement. My car was ready in about 48 hours from when I drop the vehicle off. The repairs were half of what the other location was trying to charge me, which was cool completely unnecessary and attempt to charge double the price of what it is that was required. As well, the other location where I had some work done on the vehicle and it was claimed that new tires was needed on a vehicle, it turns out that no new tires were needed on the vehicle, at this point. For all of these reasons I would definitely recommend Wolverine Auto Repair because they're honest and they get the job done.Definitely five stars for this female trying to have trusted a Auto repair location for the future.Service: Auto maintenance

I had a very negative experience with Wolverine Auto and it's towing service under the same roof Big House Towing.TLDR: Shady business practices, expensive, high pressure sales tactics, hostile if you question anything, careless. In short I would not want my friends or family to bring a vehicle here. If you need a tow or repair in the Ann Arbor area, look elsewhere.Full review:I had a broken down vehicle towed to Wolverine Auto via AAA by the tow truck company under the same roof (Big House Towing) in the early morning. I told the tow truck driver I was donating the vehicle and just needed to get it off the road. The tow truck took the vehicle to it's own shop (Wolverine Auto), not the one that AAA had instructed to even though the shop AAA had requested was much closer.Later on that morning got a call from Wolverine Auto saying they had looked at my vehicle and it needed $1000+ in repairs. I told the mechanic I was donating the vehicle and wasn't interested in fixing it. The mechanic got angry and said no one told him that and that I owed him $120 for the diagnostic fee and that he would keep my vehicle and charge me a storage fee starting until it was paid. I told him I was sorry he had looked at it but I had told his tow truck driver that I didn't want it repaired and that it was being donated. I suggested we negotiate a compromise since it wasn't his fault or my fault his mechanic had looked it the vehicle and I know the challenges of running a business. He was not interested and became increasingly angry. In the early afternoon he called and tried to buy my vehicle for less than it was worth even broken and said he need to know in 30 minutes otherwise he would starting charging me a storage fee. I told him I wasn't interested. He demanded to know why, and again became angry. At this point I just wanted to get my vehicle away from this shop, so I called, paid the $120 and got the vehicle towed to a family member's house until the donation company could pick it up. Since I used AAA the towing company was again Big House Towing. When I inspected my vehicle the next day, I found the mechanic had removed broken parts from my vehicle without permission and had not returned them, killed the battery, damaged the ignition so it was very difficult to get the key back in or out, and left the rear windows open. In all, he caused more damage then he had diagnosed.I reported my experience to AAA and they said they would flag the shop and towing company.
