This was my second visit to the Midas on Michigan Avenue in Ypsilanti but it's my first review. The first time I came in I had new brakes put on my car. The minute I walked in the door I was greeted by Rafe who offered me some homemade Christmas cookies. I thought I was going to need to make an appointment to get the brakes done and he asked for my keys and a couple hours later I had new brakes. So when I needed an oil change I did not hesitate for a moment to return to Midas. Again, I was happily greeted by the young man behind the counter. He took the keys and a short while later I had an oil change and was on my way. While I was there a lady came in to inquire about some work on her car that needed to be done. She asked me my opinion about this particular shop and I told her everything that I am mentioning right now. I will be returning to this Midas for all of my Automotive needs and feel very confident that they will send me to the correct place in the event that it's something that they are not able to do. I received great service at this location. All of my questions were answered, and I was given different options to help me solve the issues with my car. I appreciate the respec, time, and the conversation that we had, and I will definitely be going back. Ty!

I had the most amazing experience with the manager and mechanic that just worked on my car. They were extremely knowledgeable, treated my car like it was their own and gave me a GREAT price. I couldn't have asked for more from them as they went above and beyond for me!

Midas is my go-to auto shop. I don't think that they're necessarily the cheapest, but the level of communication and service you get is worth it. They quote a little high to start, but that's because they do a thorough job assessing all of the small repairs your car needs, or might need soon. They'll let you know exactly how much each service costs, and will break it down to parts and labor if you ask.They're also pretty respectful of your own know-how. I'm no mechanic, but I usually know what I need when I go in. They do a good job listening to what you say, and they'll offer good bits of info to deepen your existing understanding too.Even with their comprehensive quotes/assessments, they're really respectful of hard budget lines that you give them, and they'll work with you to delay optional repairs and just get the car safe and drive-able if you need. I've never felt pressured to pay more than I think is fair for the services I've gotten, and they provide a super clear itemized receipt afterwards so you can see exactly how much the parts and labor cost.All in all, definitely an auto shop that I'd recommend!

After customer started yelling at the front desk employee. She starts cussing at one employee outside. You could hear her inside the building. That s how loud her voice was. She starts bashing the business and asks is this even a legitimate business. Then proceeds to take a photo of the guy at the counter trying to belittle him in front of other employees and customers. Kudos to the gentlemen at the counter for them staying professional. I will continue to frequent that Midas because of those employees!

This Midas has always serviced my Honda Civic and I think it s their excellent care that s kept her on the road for 18 long years. They ve taken care of everything from a simple oil change to an intensive caliper and rotor replacement. They always have the parts readily available, have never missed a time estimate, and their staff are super personable and professional. I highly recommend this shop!

I had Devin look at my 2006 Saturn Ion. Very polite and thorough. He showed me the damages, but I felt like I was quoted a little high. This visit was a good experience, even though I'm a bit of a skeptical person at auto shops. 45$ for the inspection wasn't bad for how much he pointed out. Give Devin a raise :D

So my cars tires needed some air and the usual place I go to to fill it up myself was closed so I decided to call these guys because they were close by. The guy on the phone was nice and said he could help me out. He said all I got to do is pull up whenever and he would fill up my tires. So I show up the morning of and I tell my situation to the guy at the front desk. The guy at the front desk sounded like a different guy, and unlike the one on the phone from yesterday, he was VERY unwelcoming. He made me feel like I'm a burden in his way when I told him I needed air in my tires. he told me that there are bunch of air pumps down the street and that I should have went to any one of those. Once I told him that I called in yesterday and stuff he was like "alright just pull up to the front and I'll get a guy to fill them up for you". The guy that came up to fill them up was kind and considerate (unlike the one at the front desk) and he filled up my tires no questions asked. I wanted to give that gut a $5 dollar tip for doing me a solid but I only had a $1 bill in my wallet and felt it would be disrespectful to just give 1 dollar. The guy at the front desk gets 2 stars, and the guy that filled up my tires gets 100 stars.

Was able to get me in immediately and repaired front brakes, rotors, calipers, struts, rear shocks in half day for much less than dealership. Overall very happy with the service!

Service is always great, and I appreciate the attention to detail! Bob and the rest of his staff have always helped take care of my car, and I highly recommend Midas Ypsilanti.

Somehow, my last review was removed. This place was just purchased by the same people that own the Canton, MI, store.They're dishonest, and they do not care about the customer, If you do go to this Midas or the ones in Ann Arbor, BE SURE they tell you all of the costs BEFORE they do the work, they have a bad habit of trapping customers, they will quote you an astronomical price for repairs, and then if you decline they will charge you an ungodly amount for looking at it. They DO NOT offer free inspections, And the manager working in the lobby will not provide you with your written estimate if you refuse the work. (which I believe is illegal) Bob, was fired from here, and Paul and Tony quit the same day. They are not telling people the truth, Any positive reviews you see are from employees and family members. Should you decide to go here make sure you get pricing up front and everything in writing.

All I thought I needed was my back brakes done but after they looked at everything it turned out 2 b a lot more then I thought. They took care of me and made sure my car was finished before they closed at 5p! They got me safely back on the road again!

Had the most magical experience at this Midas bringing my car in for a Lyft inspection. I learned that it had recently came into new ownership and the magic woman, Liz, at the counter (the new owner) was super supportive in getting me in last minute and empathizing with my needs to get in. She was super kind and wonderful. Thank you again and I will be back for alllll of my services!

This place is a Joke! They tell us to bring are tuck in for a free inspection. The guy tells us after they already screwed are first appointment up that it's 60 Dollars for the inspection. Then gets mad at us telling us he isn't working for free the last time I checked he works hourly so how is he working for free. The only thing I can get from all of it was he was mad cause he found out we where going to do the wok. SHM . No Respect anymore!

This place is going down hill, I take my car here often, usually I speak to the mangers Bobby or Paul or even the mechanic that works on my car every time tony, as I go in today nobody I knew was there. I only like tony working on my car so I said I would come back, they told me that Bobby, Paul, and tony mutually decided to leave. looks like they are under new management. this place is going to become a reck.I need to find my mechanic tony !!!

We thought daughters front brakes needed replacement. Team here looked at them, said no need for many more miles. No charge. We have had great experience here over a number of years. Will be back whenever car care is needed. Wonderful folks, honest and great mechanics.
