I am extremely disappointed with my experience at LaFontaine Kia. I brought my 2017 Kia Sportage in for an oil change and tire rotation before heading home for the holidays. According to the dealership, they completed the services, and I drove the car home, covering about 1000 miles. However, upon reaching home, I checked the dipstick and found it bone dry.I took the car to a local mechanic who confirmed a new filter was on the car but absolutely no oil. The mechanic added 2.8 quarts of oil so I could safely drive back to Michigan. He suggested returning to the dealership to check for leaks or burning, although he didn't find any issues, and thought they may have simply forgotten to put oil in the car.A week later, I scheduled a follow-up at LaFontaine and explained the situation. The service technician insisted that I didn't know how to check my oil, stating, "It would be clear; you wouldn't see it on the dipstick," and "You are not understanding; there would be a light on if it was empty." He continued to assert that I was unfamiliar with handling the car. I showed him a picture the local mechanic took of the dipstick, and he reluctantly agreed to schedule a separate appointment to check the car, but claimed they couldn't do it at the appointment that I had already schedule that day. I'm unclear why they were unable to check the car, given that I had made an appointment and provided the reason for my visit.From the initial appointment where I suspect the oil was never refilled to the follow-up where no work was done and the associate was patronizing, I, unfortunately, won't be returning to this location. While I have always had positive experiences with Kia and other dealerships, I cannot recommend taking your business to LaFontaine based on my recent encounter.

There's a salesman here named Cherif Bancoura that was great to work with. No pressure, a perfect gentleman and just a really nice guy. If you're looking for a Kia, check this place out and make sure to ask for Cherif.

It was easy to find an appointment for an oil change within just a few days, with plenty of time slots. I was greeted immediately and the service specialists were talkative and kind while getting checked in. The waiting area was clean and quiet (morning appointment) and there was water and a coffee machine available. Desk areas and charging stations available for anyone that may be doing some work while waiting. Actual time vs estimated wait time was less and my car came back washed as well. Easy check out process. Great customer service.

2/8/24 Best car shopping experience ....... Was not looking at buying a car today. I was searching for low miles from 2017 to 2020 non-Ford or Chevy cars. Came to look at a different car I found online. Which I did not like after seeing it. I could have not found a better deal. I feel Scarlett was meant for me (yup she is already named) 2020 Kia Forte with such low miles it was like driving a brand new car! Thanks to Grant, for the straightforward, honesty and for taking the time to hear what I was looking at and looking at the pictures I found. If anyone wants to deal with an honest salesperson that is not going to lie to you to get the sale.I fully recommend this dealership to anyone for an honest salesperson.

This experience was my first ever experience with a dealership. Frank Stack (I believe that s his last name) did not disappoint us. He was patient and worked to give us the best service he could. I d also like to point out that James was so patient with us when signing off on the car. Great staff that seriously have their customers in their best interest. I highly recommend this place if you re looking for a new vehicle.

Completely wowed by my experience at this dealership. Excellent customer service, not pushing just friendly and informative. After a couple test drives and lots of questions on my end I was able to come away with the most amazing vehicle (Kia sorento hybrid AWD with third row) that just blew the competition away. From giving me their personal cell for questions to dropping off my all weather mats on their way home so I don't have to make the drive out there, they treat you like family. I also felt like they gave me the best price possible for the new car and my trade in. I plan to do my services there despite the longer drive from my house. Can't recommend them enough. Absolutely love my new car!

I highly recommend leasing/buying your next vehicle through Frank Stack! I leased a Kia EV9, which is a brand new electric 7 seater vehicle. Frank kept me posted as to when vehicles would arrive to test drive, helped me find a vehicle that had specs I was looking for, and answered many, many, MANY questions regarding leasing and vehicle options. He was patient with my schedule and didn t mind when I had to bring my kids with me. Best car experience I have ever had! Very satisfied with the vehicle and the excellent service I received!

I brought my car to this location to be serviced. They had my vehicle for over two weeks just for the issue I brought it in for, not to fixed. I called and spoke with one of the service advisors and about the issue and he acted as if I was inconveniencing him. I do not appreciate the way I have been treated. I have never experienced such poor customer service in my life. I even called several times asking to speak with a manager and no one has called me back I will be taking my vehicle to another Kia dealership and will not be returning. I will also be contacting my warranty service and let them know the job was not fixed also !

Cherif was most patient while I test-drove MANY different KIA SUVs. His honest opinion and genuine concern that I chose the correct vehicle to meet my needs while keeping on budget. He stayed beyond late as I was stuck in Michigan construction traffic making my way to the dealership. I cannot recommend him enough for how great his Customer Service was!!

Excellent service. Full synthetic oil change at sale price. They washed the car, did safety inspection, replaced weak key fob battery, at no charge. They finished quicker than expected while i waited. I will always return to their great service dept.

I bought a vehicle from LaFontaine back at the end of June. I have had nothing but problems with it. I've asked NUMEROUS times for a copy of the very expensive warranty I've purchased and still haven't received it. Shortly after I purchased the vehicle it started shaking pretty badly. The first time I took it in because of this they told me there was nothing wrong with my car. After continuous shaking I brought it back in. They looked at it again and told me it was my propeller shaft and thankfully that was covered under the warranty I have yet to see. Shortly after getting the propeller shaft fixed my car started shaking AGAIN. I called to have an alignment done because I thought " I just bought this car there can't be a lot wrong with it" I called and was originally quoted around $130 for an alignment, so I made an appointment to have that done. I get there and the price magically went to $165. I agree to it because I was just fed up and wanted my car to stop shaking. I was led to understand that an alignment would take 1-2 hours. Then they tell me they think something might be wrong with the suspension on my car and that now my car has to stay there all day. I get a phone call later that afternoon saying I can come get my car. I was told they did nothing to it because the car needed new tires... then proceeded to charge me $165 just to TELL me I needed new tires on the car I just bought from them only 4.5 months prior... I was told it would be $165 for an alignment, not for someone to tell me I need new tires. So I left that night with my car still shaking horribly and ripped off $165. This didn't sit right with me so after a few days I try to get a hold of the general manager Garrett Henegar. I call and leave a voicemail and didn't hear anything back for a few days so I call again and was told he's on vacation which I'm not sure why no one told me that the first time I called because I was expecting a call back very soon. So I leave another voicemail and I finally get a call back after a few days. Unfortunately I miss the call because I was at work. Since then I have called Garrett multiple times and each time I have left a voicemail asking for him to please call me back. This started early December and now it's mid January. I have still not heard a word back from him. How completely unprofessional. Especially for GM of a successful car dealership. Like I said I have called and left multiple voicemails and no return call has led me to leave this 1 star review. I feel beyond disappointed, angry, taken advantage of, and ripped off. I would not recommend anyone to purchase a vehicle here.

My first view of Kia was being shown cars before anything was really talked about by two gentlemen. The cars we were shown had a bus pass on the drivers side floor, dirt, plastic and various other pieces of garbage.My second view of Kia was much different with a different salesman who ultimately sold me my vehicle.I would have appreciated transparency about theft on previous Kia vehicles as this was something I was not aware of and this also was a big decision. I feel like if you want me to keep coming back to you for future vehicle purchases, honesty is the best policy.I was frustrated about having my car less than 3 days and there is already issues with electrical/dashboard & there is supposedly going to be a recall.It is also annoying that my rear right sensor is not working properly, the light is appearing on my dashboard and I'm already having to bring it in for maintenance.I may be frustrated on some points but the sales person was helpful in many ways and gave good perspective on some things.I have found it very appreciative that he went out of his way to send me a YouTube video on how to solve the problem in turning my lane assist off so it doesn't keep being problematic for me and I can use this as a continuous resource in the future.I appreciate him calling me back or texting when he says he is going to. Also, that he says he is willing to answer any questions that come up at any time and so far, 3 days in, he has kept to it.My dealer also has gone out of his way to meet my request for a loaner vehicle when service needed my car over night to diagnose it while I needed a vehicle for work the next day. I was very appreciative at his accommodation.Not only that but my dealer went for a ride in my personal vehicle and showed/explained how to use cruise control in my vehicle as I have never had a car with cruise control before. I found this time he dedicated to helping me really shows he cares about making his clients stay his clients and be happy clients! He has a good attitude while helping out too which is even better.He was very approachable and friendly. He gave lots of information on the questions I did have as well.The woman that had us sign the paperwork tried to sell us many packages at first. I I did not feel she was pushy.She answered my questions at the time and had no problems with explaining.She was very patient in me reading the paperwork and did not rush.She was kind enough to print off a copy of the paperwork at my request.The service gentleman greeted me kindly when I first met them and were welcoming.They seem to have a reasonable wait time for getting parts in and fixing my rear right tire pressure sensor. They did say the washed my car before they drove it, to diagnose it, and returned my car to me dirty.

Kay, was a true professional! They said my car would probably take 1 1/2 and it was 45 minutes and my car came out sparkling clean along with my oil change. The service here is fantastic I will be back..Thank you so much

I had some troubles with my car earlier this year but the staff at LaFountaine Kia of Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti took the steps to make sure everything went smoothly. I just wanted to make a shout out to Kay, who ensured everything was fixed promptly (+calling me with updates and easing my anxiety) and provided a shuttle when I needed a ride.I'd highly recommend the service here.

I bought a lemon, LEAKING OIL, and they KNEW they were selling me a lemon. (Should have taken it to a mechanic BEFORE purchasing). I tried desperately to have service, KAYRON & MATT to look @ the car before the 30 days was up and they REFUSED. The seller, CHERIF, didn't have enough respect for me to inform me when the license plate had arrived. I contacted management, SUMMER, voice mail, thrice & requested they STOP selling my info to other companies and STOP sending me marketing for their auto service, but they won't stop even after selling me a lemon. Auto dealers will never stop their money hungry schemes, cheating, stealing & and lies.

My recent dealings with this dealership have been nothing short of a nightmare. The Kia I purchased less than six months ago has become a constant source of headaches due to persistent electrical issues.The service department's inability to resolve these problems efficiently is beyond disappointing. It's evident that customer satisfaction is not a priority. To make matters worse, despite weeks of inconvenience, there's been no effort from the dealership to provide a temporary replacement vehicle.My expectations for a smooth car-buying experience have been shattered, and it's disheartening to see such a lackluster approach to customer service from LaFontaine. I strongly caution anyone considering this dealership to think twice before subjecting themselves to the same level of frustration.

I recently purchased a car from the Ypsilanti location and Andre was my sales person. I informed him of my hesitation of buying a car from this dealership with all of the bad reviews, but he explained that he was new and that there were many new staff here for that very reason. This man built a relationship with me from the moment I sat down. He was so kind and listened to all my concerns and my wants and needs. He told me he was new and I told him to never change. His type of salesmanship is exactly what the customer is looking for.If you are in the market for a great car with a long warranty, then don t walk - run to see this man! Andre DavenportBonus: if you and/or your kids play Pokemon Go, he does too. My 10yo was very patient during the whole buying process because this man connected with him.

Trey, my salesperson, was exceptional. I'm not an impulse buyer. I know what I want, buy what I want. And, the actual sale took about 6 months. Trey was patient the entire time. All that time turned into him showing me the exact car I wanted. I bought it. My wife and I love it. We'll being buying another new car in a year or two. We already know who we're calling, Trey.

I work at a competitor but trust my friends and family to come to this location for service and support. Have had to visit 2 times in last month for service and was treated with respect and care. As a female, I fear being taking advantage of. KAY Rodgers in service was empathetic to my concerns, helped schedule for timely service, and provided peace of mind for me and my partner. Waiting room was clean and accommodating as well. Thank you.

Rob Reese was absolutely fantastic! I thank him so much for getting me exactly what I wanted & needed. He goes beyond great customer service ! The service department did phenomenal when detailing my car ! The finance manager is also amazing, this is my second time working with this location & I am beyond impressed!
