Immortan is great. Could probably assemble an entire car out of dust. They did a full D-16 turbo build on my '91 civic. Came into the shop plenty of times during the build and they broke every step down in detail and we worked together on precisely what I wanted from my car. 100% transparency the whole way through and answered any questions I had in a way I could easily understand. That being said it turned out exactly as I had dreamed. Will be coming back for any updates/maintenance! Thanks again Immortan.

Went in for an alignment based on what I have read about them. Very communicative, friendly, and honest & hardworking! Would highly recommend as Chris and his crew know miatas very well and will be my first choice to work on my car if I don't want to or can't do the job myself!

Chris and team are young, hungry, and talented, especially for Miata's and other sports cars (American, European, and Japanese). I've had him work on 2 of our track focused cars and have been continually impressed with his attention to detail, eagerness and joy at working on cars, thoroughness of what he does, and going above and beyond. That instills a lot of confidence and trust, especially with my race cars. Chris and the whole team are great! Pricing is very reasonable. I love to see such a passionate team that are willing to show you around the shop and explain exactly what was done to the car and be willing to show you. Okay, full disclosure: I have not yet had an opportunity to let them work on my NA Miata.With that out of the way, I spent about 30 minutes chatting with the gang at Immortan Automotive, and was nothing but impressed. Not only are they genuinely passionate about Motorsports in general, but they are also huge Mazda and Honda fans. After living out west for 30 years, it's shocking to me how rare that is back here in my home state of Michigan. This place is fueled by passion and technical training, a wonderful combination, IMO. Beyond that, they have recently established a relationship with the owner of one of the best Miata and performance shops in the Pacific Northwest (My former mechanic for things I didn't want to do myself, and an indispensable resource for those of us who want to get the most out of our cars), AR automotive out of lake Oswego, Oregon. If guilt by association works for the worst amongst us, it should also apply to the best amongst us. The fact that these folks have a positive working relationship with Eddie Nakato and Adrenaline Racing, speak volumes. I am confident recommending you take your cherished performance oriented JDM car to these people. Let's grow this community in southeast Michigan!

Chris is an asset to the Michigan Miata community! I took my spec miata project to him for a race alignment, corner balance, and race seat installation and he exceeded my expectations. I loved his attention to detail, he treated my car as if it were his own and never hesitated to drop wisdom wherever he could. He's also a stand-up member of the local racing community, volunteering time at the track whenever he can to help out another racer. I won't hesitate coming back to this shop again when the going gets tough with my car.

I think I found the only shop I trust with my cars. Excellent service! They were EXTREMELY transparent with everything they did and walked me through all of the reasons why they made the decisions they did, actually taking the time to engage with me. The work quality is also excellent! I have my first track day with my NB Miata next week and I know I have a solid setup for the event. I would absolutely recommend!

After getting several recommendations I took my classic car in for an inspection prior to a long drive. The staff were clearly knowledgeable and conscientious. They did a thorough inspection and made thoughtful suggestions for preventative repairs with cost/value in mind. I left my vehicle with them feeling confident that their work will be of equal quality. They do specialize in certain vehicles/types so its worth a call; the owner, Chris and his staff are very willing to share their knowledge/information. Don't expect a showplace with glossy floors, this is a shop where real people do what they love.

Great shop and great people! They took care of a whole slew of maintenance items on my miata, and pricing is very very reasonable. Turnaround was super quick and communication throughout the process was excellent. 10/10 all day, wouldnt hesitate to come back.

The Mazda dealership service department couldn t resolve my 2001 Miata s problem after three visits. Immortan immediately identified the problem, kept me informed during the entire process, and returned what feels like a new car. I couldn t be happier. Took my 95m in for timing belt and water pump. This was one of the few times I ve felt incredibly confident having someone else work on one of my cars and I was very impressed by the passion and knowledge of the whole team. Honest, straight forward, thorough, and customer service a dealership service department could only dream of. I plan on returning, even for projects I m confident I could handle myself, because this shop definitely deserves the support.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Chris knows his stuff (especially about Miatas) and is always happy to not only help, but also teach,so that customers can learn how to do things themselves instead of returning to mechanics.I'm always happy to take my baby there!
