Pricing is competitive, but even more so if it's your first time! I'll likely be a repeat customer when I need something done that my busy schedule doesn't allow me to do myself. Duane was great addressing my car's needs and spoke with a sense of care about my vehicle that I just haven't gotten from everyone I've had work on my car. 5 stars!

1. Tow the car to Auto Ave on 11/16/23.2. Real slow repair work. The car ready on 12/1/23.3. Went to pick up the car on 12/1/23. Paid $1510.68. The car would not start.4. Got a call from Auto Ave on 12/26/23 that they cannot fix the car and recommended that I should take the car to the dealership.5. It took them 25 days to figure out they could not fix the car after accepting $1510. 68 on 12/1/23.6. I took the car to another shop. They promptly fixed it within 3 day.I really doubt they know what they are doing. A simple job? Sure no problem. Please be very careful about giving them a complicated job.

Excellent service. Friendly, honest, fast. I would recommend them to anyone. They replaced my spark plugs same day, and they were very communicative about the repairs and process throughout the day.They also offer a first-timers discount, which helped me out a ton.Go see Duane and his team!

After spending $3,000 plus dollars, after signing off thinking these are real professionals and my car is good to go,it wouldn't start, They did everything to it except the one thing I wanted which is for the car to run. I'm now waiting to hear from them as to why the car didn't start. I'll have to post more later when all this comes to a final head. These people are the professionals they claim to be it was a simple oversight my car is good to go thank you Auto Ave!!!

I have to say the owner Dwayne is awesome! Something was missed on my repair and I called the shop. Dwayne asked me to come in and i would not have to wait. Because it was an easy fix from the previous service and the shops mistake , I got to the shop and the gentleman at the counter said I have to wait and it was a horrible interaction with him. Luckily The second worker called Dwayne who was not there, which was smart. Dwayne straightened them out in the shop and told them, the customer did exactly what i asked him to do take care of him! So I give him props for correcting his staff! Thanks Dwayne! His detail to customer service makes me want to go back and have referred other people here!

First time at Auto Ave I went in early to get an oil change and tire rotation while I waited. The manager fit me in since I d come from a little farther away (Saline). And he gave me a first timer discount. The service was friendly, thorough and professional.I found them to service my Subaru because I wasn t happy the last time at the local dealership. I ll be back to Auto Ave.

A friend suggested I take my car here for some electrical issues regarding my windows as well an issue with my bumper. I got my car back within 24 hours & everything is working great & looks amazing. The staff were extremely nice & trustworthy. Good pricing extremely good service. I had a bad experience outside of auto aves control ( catalytic converter cut off by thieves) and they did everything reasonable and in their power to fix it. Ended up having to purchase the part but all work was done with no labor and that seems fair as they really didn't have to do anything. Same day (Saturday) repair 1030 in 3pm out.

My wheel bearing blew out after arriving in Ypsilanti. Called on Saturday morning they got me in that day and had it on the lift in a few minutes. They were friendly, welcoming and professional. The job took longer than they expected and called me and updated me on what they were doing and what was needed to be done. One of the tech's came in on Sunday to finish everything and it was all ready Monday morning. Price was good and service was great. would recommend anyone looking for an honest and knowledgeable garage.

They were fast, over the top friendly and affordable! My cousin got a repair done on her van yesterday and while waiting the gentleman at the desk bought us all McDonald's I have an autistic 4 year old son which he overheard him saying he was hungry, He went and got him a happy meal! My heart melted! Went above and beyond for their customers! Highly recommended!!!!! Thank you again guys

I m totally UPDATING my review from a few months back. The young man had literally fixed my lights within five minutes of having my car back there. He stalled me out like DEEBO. Then he didn t want me to realize that my car was already fixed, so he comes up front and starts whispering to the older guy. They went from $300, to $260 or so (for not even doing anything)!!!!! Then they tell me a story about my lights going out again, it ll be thousands to fix the connector. He says the guy happened to get it fixed this time. He twisted the lights and they started working. Charged me $260 or so for that!!! They ripped my off!!! UPDATE!!! Their prices are ridiculous!!!!Despite, the response from them. I meant this update. They were very nice, but they took advantage of me. I went some place else, because the light WENT OUT AGAIN. I told them about the cost, and showed the receipt. This professional auto repair place says, they ripped me off. My bulbs were replaced and working now. I didn t need to pay thousands for a connector. Regardless to when you SPOKE to me last. I took my car in for the same thing you said couldn t be fixed without costing thousands. And STOP CALLING ME, because you don t like my review. That s not professional at all. You weren t calling me when you overcharged me, and told me if the lights go out again I d need a connector. I did not!!! They replaced my bulbs.

If I could rate them zero stars I would, They were friendly and patient and attentive and presented with extreme confidence and certainty, gave me rides home to and from shop, everything was great. They diagnosed my jerking while accelerating as needing a new catalytic converter because they pulled that code off the check engine light(first red flag), I hastily gave them the go ahead without checking with my mechanic back home since they were nearby and had good reviews even though the repair would cost me 2k(that's on me for not being thorough). After fixing that, the problem persisted .. so I brought it back they then say it needs more work and try to charge me another few thousand, I say either give me a refund or fix whatever you found to be the problem for free since they were confident the converter replacement was the solution and yet it did nothing. They completely went back on that and said I'm unreasonable and sound crazy for asking for such a request. I take it to my mechanic back home he fixes it, it was a simple tune up needed new spark plugs cost me 150$...I got the old converter they replaced, showed it to my mechanic and he said there is absolutely nothing wrong with it and was shocked by that diagnosis-Said they are either scammers or completely incompetent. I called them back after all this and asked for a refund again showing them the paperwork for the correct repair from my mechanic, they said the best they would do was cut me a check for 200$ so of course I took that as I didn't want to take them to small claims-the only other option to get my money back. However that's still not good enough for me I'm out A LOT of money...their mechanical knowledge and customer service was horrifying, unless they reach out to me and offer me a refund my comments will stay, I'll edit it to update if resolved. I write this as a warning to others looking for a nearby mechanic, proceed with caution. Dan and Duane are who I dealt with, they work the front desk.

Tldr: I was nearly killed by this shops gross negligence..This is difficult to write, they seem like good people but they're awful mechanics..I'd been going to this shop a few years, with very few problems. They were generally timely and polite. I travel for work, so my truck is my livelihood and it being fixed quickly is very important to me..I went in for a small leak in my transmission cooler line. They said I needed all new transmission and oil lines. I paid, and they replaced all the lines. They forgot to connect one of the lines completely. My transmission ran dry and was destroyed within 10 miles..They tried to do the rite thing. They replaced my transmission, covered all the labor costs and most of the new transmission. I paid 800$ extra so I could have a warrantied rebuilt transmission..So far so good to be honest. Everyone makes mistakes. This mistake cost me a lot already, because it was delaying my travel for work.. but I was still generally happy with the service at this point..Approximately 500 miles later, my truck began violently shaking. I pulled over, and limped my truck a few miles to a roadside mechanic. My driveshaft was missing a bolt, and about to fall off. While towing. This type of accident has killed people in my community. This could have been prevented by a simple check. This shop has proven itself sloppy to the point of negligent. Peoples lives depend on your work auto ave! Pay attention. I'll never return, neither will my brother, sister or parents. All of us were once regular customers.

Took my car in for a situation with the lights. The young man went over and beyond to resolve my problem. He s much appreciated. Finally, an honest shop with a quick turn around. They gave me an incredible deal that I couldn't pass up. The manager was honest from the start and had my car ready the next day, as promised. Thank you again and if I need anything done to my vehicles from here moving forward I will be going directly to Auto Ave in Ypsi.

I came in for a replacement of my rear upper control arm after having stripped the bolt. Not only did they manage to get that fixed for me and the bolt replaced, but they also found that my tie rod was giving and called to confirm replacement. They managed to get it all done in the same day! AWESOME service, communication and very understanding. 10/10 would recommend!Service: Wheel alignment

I want to express my gratitude to each and every employee in this company for replacing my brakes. They saw me the same day, looked over my brakes and calipers, and immediately recognized what needed to be fixed. Dan is the man; he turned my tears into a joyful smile. If I could give them 100 stars, I would without a doubt. This is unquestionably the greatest location for mechanical repairs. Great bunch of guys very friendly. Took my car to get a tire plugged they said it would be about 35 to 45 minutes sure didn't seem like it. I was really surprised when the car was done. I would recommend if you have any tire or car issues to take your care to Auto Ave. Thanks guys for the service I appreciate you.

My wife took her car here and recommended it to me because they were so great. She was right! They did a wonderful job repairing my clutch. I liked how upfront they were with the information, and cost estimate.I was worried it would take a long time because they are always so busy, but it only took them two days after the initial inspection to repair it.I highly recommend this place for your auto needs.Services: Wheel alignment, Transmission repair

I am beyond thrilled with this place. I have never been to an auto shop where the employees were so honest! I came in for an oil change and they did a once over. Found a crack in the coolant reservoir; he even showed it to me. The pricing is well below what I've paid at other places. All the guys here are really great. Beyond fair pricing and wonderful customer service. I normally do all the work on my Jeep myself, but when I have an issue I don t have equipment for they are always able to help me and get the job done in an honest upfront time frame. Lots of laughs and great conversation available free of charge LOL. It s hard to find an honest and fairly priced mechanic/shop anymore especially for a wrangler and a female in my experience. Best around and never encountered an issue. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I had a bad tire, and they found a nail in it. Wisam, the service consultant showed me a picture of it, which I really appreciate. I liked that I didn't have to wait very long, when I was told that there were other cars ahead of me. I also liked how friendly everyone was. Dwayne & his coworker ( Don t know his name sorry) at the desk was great working with me, even with my warranty, Dwayne talked to the warranty company while I was there & handled it so they could get started on my car, after they diagnosed a problem with my radiator leaking. They even offered me a ride home if I needed it!Let s not forget the service guys too! It can t be done without them including James, I appreciate what they do!Thanks guys for being there when I need help with my car, including my tire rotations, air in my tires etc! Took my car here to have a new clutch installed. They went above and beyond! Got my car back and it is in better shape than when I took it to them. They did a phenomenal job. It literally feels like a brand new car even though it's a 20 year old car. They got me a brand new flywheel and clutch kit and a new motor mount and my cost was only $4 more than what they originally quoted me. I am so grateful to have such an amazing shop located near me. I went into this knowing it would cost me a good chunk of money and they absolutely blew me away with the final price. The work they did was top notch and extremely thorough.
