Couldn t be happier with my experience with AAMCO Transmission. I blew o the transmission in my F-150. I had it towed there on Monday afternoon, just a couple hours later I had a phone call from Mike that updated me on what was going on with my truck and an estimate for repairs.The next day he called with an update on the price and to confirm I wanted them to proceed with the repairs (and to be certain I was willing to spend that much money to have the truck repaired. On Tuesday morning, I was happy to hear that he expected they would be done with everything on Friday.To my surprise, I got a call on Thursday morning. When I saw the number I was afraid there was going to be more charges or that they ran into a problem but that was not the case he was calling to let me know the truck was finished and I could come pick it up ASAP!I couldn t believe how quickly they were able to get my truck in and out. You might be able to get the work done cheaper somewhere else, but you cannot beat the service and extremely fast turn around time from this shop.My experience with them was excellent. I was very impressed with how they treated me, kept me informed and up to date on the process, and speedy service.Definitely will recommend them to family and friends in the future and would not hesitate to bring another vehicle to them if I need repairs in the future. Highly recommend!!

EXCELLENT care! I got quoted almost $8,000 by another shop to replace my transmission. These guys took a look, it was a quick fix and my bill was south of $400. Real experts and incredible customer service. Highly recommend.

Had my son s 2012 focus in for transmission work and they did a great job got the car in quick and got it back quick!!! My son s mileage went up and says it feels like a new car he is very impressed!!! Would recommend AAMCO for car repairs!Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

I was diagnosed earlier in April of 2023 of leaky transmission oil pan, seals, and lines (wet - not leaking) - the parts were hard to get, understood, so after waiting 4 weeks for the lines, they finally came in. I was away most of this summer (9 hour drive) and they promised to hold the parts for me - as long as I needed - when I was available to bring my Jeep back in for installation. I came in mid-September this year to schedule install - was greeted at the door "may I help you?" As if they never saw me before - and was abruptly informed that they sent the transmissions lines back to the supplier! They said it was over six months (not true - 5 months) NO time frame or limit was ever agreed upon - it was open ended). They could have just placed a simple call to me that they were sending back parts - a simple, small gesture - but they choose to be petty and acted unprofessionally and go back on their word.....

I spoke with them on the phone about my transmission. I let them know that I was nervous about this cause I was taken advantage of at a different place. They made me feel so convertible and they WILL be doing the work on my restored bronco ll. I post again and let you know about the quality of work they do. They were fair to me. They diagnosed my problem, but, because it was an issue that had to be handled by the dealership, they were honest, and didn't charge me.

From the moment I called to the moment I left AAMCO everything was great. Keith was very helpful and very honest. He gave me his truly honest evaluation and really worked with me and explained everything so I would understand the service and such. It is very difficult to find a mechanic who is reliable, trustworthy, and pleasant. This AAMCO fits these characteristics and will definitely be returning here for all future needs!

Very good experience with what was a very serious problem. 4WD Doge ram pickup linkage went missing! Keith and Steve were friendly and professional. Repair was quick and 1/4th the cost I anticipated. I highly recommend this place.

Absolutely a class act! I dealt with Mike and he 100% took care of me! They are honest, fair and beyond accommodating! Took my car here for a second opinion because the last place told me I needed new shocks because of a clunking I had in the rear of my car. They did their own inspection and found out it was my license plate cover! Their honesty literally saved me hundreds of dollars! They welded my exhaust mounts into place because it was falling off and got me out in less that 24 hours! It's refreshing to deal with honesty and good character! They've always found time for my vehicle even when I dropped it off spur of the moment. They don't try to oversell you on anything and hold Tru to what needs to be done soon. Mike is friendly and knowledgeable. Their labor is reasonable and I haven't had to take anything back. Thanks guys!

I was there for an inspection of the transmission and engine. I was told that it would cost $85, which goes into repair as well, so I thought the inspection itself cost that much. But once they found nothing wrong with my car, they just didn t charge me at all! Mike was super nice and I would be back in the future!

Only my first time here for something rather minor. But I could immediately tell upon walking in that "this IS the place."Great work they're doing at AAMCO.They had a real graybeard (er.. mustache) working on my car, not some kid or some obvious felon highschool dropout! They've got real mechanics in there, from my observation yesterday.One of the guys manning the phone clearly knew his stuff, was able to talk at length and in-depth to some customer about his transmission.Was a little on the pricey side, but I don't mind so long as the workmanship is of good quality.Will definitely bring my bucket o' bolts back to these guys for the next "thing" that goes wrong with the car.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

One of the friendliest and most competent auto repair companies I have done business with. I have a 20-year old four-wheel drive pickup. Parts can be hard to find and rust from Michigan winters makes it difficult to work on. Some shops won't even take it in. They gave me a fair price for replacing a transfer case linkage, found the parts and did the repair in short order. And they were pleasant and cheerful about it. I have a daughter in school at EMU and I'm out of state. Had a serious issue with my car and found these guys and read the reviews. The reviews gave me confidence to service my car here. The reviews were dead nuts one. Great manners, service and price. Tried to have them look at my wife A/C. She called on Friday and was told to bring the car in on Wed. We took off work to get them vehicle, but when we were arrived was told that our prior arrangement to to have car looked at was void. Apparently 15 people dropped off cars on Tuesday so we our at back of the line. Guy at counter said "plenty of other shops for you to go to."Ok, but we had arrangements with you. This is poor business practice and am happy to take our business elsewhere and continue to spread the word about this location and their lack of honor.

Keith and the rest of the team have been good to my cars and my family. They are very professional and they will do a good job on your car or truck. They installed a new transmission on my 2007 explorer. It had a warranty of a hundred thousand miles or three years whichever comes first. I was able to get 4 years and 170000 mi on that new transmission. I have no complaints.

These guys are honest. You may have noticed that an honest mechanic shop is pretty hard to find, especially in SE Michigan. So when you find a place like this, well, you have to tell people.They have worked on 3 of our cars, for about 5 years now. Straight forward, good prices, timely and no needless up-selling. The owner Mike is an extremely good guy after another aamco location in new jersey had really worked me on a transmission replacement Mike and the ammco eam at the shop here in Michigan really helped me out and got me back on the road with new Fluids filter and gaskets aswell as checking over the shotty work performed at another shop .They really helped me out covered it all under the warranty knowing that they will most likely not be paid by the other shop . This is above and beyond customer service and I can't thank them enough . 5 star rating for work and customer quality assurance . Will 10/10 be back if I ever need anything again in the areaService: Transmission

I have used this garage several times over the years. I just picked up my car today and was reminded of how much I love working with this company. Keith, Brett, and team are great to work with. Great communication. All questions answered. Estimates and timelines met or cheaper and quicker than promised. Diagnosis and options are always discussed. I will continue to bring my vehicle here first.

Wish I could select more than FIVE stars! It is hard to find a place you feel comfortable to take your care in for repair, especially being a female. Brett and Keith are amazing. They take the time to explain in details. The shop staff does excellent work and they are honest people doing the right repair. I recommend them AAMCO to anyone i know looking to have their car repaired. I have had them do engine work, brakes and replace the computer brain on my vehicle. Al of which have been done perfectly without any issues. THE BEST AROUND!

They replaced a manual transmission for our 2014 Chevy Sonic. The supplier AMCO purchased from sent a faulty transmission, but they worked efficiently during a snowstorm to get another transmission ordered and installed. I was very impressed with their clear communication, itemized bill, and service. Will plan to come here again.
