I was a little sceptical about getting the trans fixed up. First because no one else will touch it because of the complexity. It is a 16 ford focus with the dual clutch. With the price was also a little concerning because I ve heard of people getting their trans fixed and then still have problems. But I had to do it the car could possibly have a lot of life left with only 110k miles on it. When I brought the car in the specialist which I wish I could remember his name but it is the son I know that. He explained what he was going to do and that it would a pain in the butt but that it could be done and was one of his specialties. & he wasn t joking when I got my car back it drove better than it did off the lot. The fords with dual clutch are known for issues with failing and having a studder on accelerating. & poof all gone drives like a dream! so I strongly recommend any people with ford trans issues to ask for the son and he ll fix you up and you won t regret a single dollar spent. I m sure they are excellent with other style vehicles too this is just my experience and I m just amazed with the work they did! Highly recommended.

Brought my escape here to have the transmission fixed. They weren't supposed to be able to start on it for about a week after I dropped it off. The work was supposed to take about another week. I had a back within the same week. It's been about 2 weeks since I've gotten it fixed and there are no issues.

The folks over there are super friendly. Price was very very reasonably. The work was quick and painless. Second clutch I had installed there. Next one will be there as well.

What a Pleasant Experience this was! Rick the owner is so down to earth he listens to what you are telling him ! He doesn t just jump to conclusions. I brought my 2002 Buick LeSabre Sedan in because the transmission was hard shifting and slipping. He asked me how many times had the transmission been serviced in it s 185,950 miles? I replied (3) times. He t k the car for a test drive, plugged in his scanner, deleted a code, checked some other things like a dead squirrel in the engine compartment, removed him, and I was g d! All for the RIDICULOUS REASONABLE LOW PRICE OF $30.00. YEA $30.00 dollars ! WOW RICK YOU ARE SOOOOO HONEST!

I rate 5 stars they go above and beyond and have out standing customer service. Had Rick look at my 1969 Cougar that had been giving me some shifting problems. Runs like new and he was very efficient. VERY HONEST WITH HIS WORK! THAT WAS IMPORTANT! Thanks Rick!

Great Great company! The most honest transmission shop I've ever been to! Customer service top notch! They answered all of my questions and didn't make me feel like I was bugging them! Had my car towed to them to get fixed and now my car runs perfect! They showed me that honest company's do still exist! This place is a joke. Took a truck up there recently, they did not even look at it properly. Please do not come here, go anywhere else besides here for transmission problems.

Downriver Transmission is absolutely the best trans repair shop I have ever experienced before. I had the clutch assembly and flywheel replaced on my 2013 mustang gt and now it's back to factory original. Matt and his family treated me like a good friend and I will always go back for any of my auto repairs they can help me with. Definitely an A1 business I highly recommend Matt for any automotive need you may have.Service: Transmission

Paid 350$ to have my truck given back to me still broken. The owner makes excuses, and then tells me I ll have to wait 3 weeks? Over 5 weeks later, I call, and am told, I m not on the list and I could get added but, it ll be another 3 weeks.I ve explained throughly my situation, exactly what I want replaced, and am currently, on a Sunday, doing the job I paid downriver transmission to do, in my driveway. I should of took the job you offered me, and let you show me how to fix my truck, and then quit.I won t ever take another vehicle to them and I don t recommend you do

Rick was kind, knowledge, honest, and fair. Went in for a trans flush and he found some other issues. After learning I'd need to spend a bit more than expected to take care of it, he was done on time and charged less than he quoted. My car drives like it's brand new again. Thanks Rick, I'll be back and recommending your shop to friends and family for years to come.

After having my van in a different repair shop twice to diagnose the problem I was experiencing with no resolve, I decided to try Downriver Transmission to see if they could uncover the issue. Matt was very good with keeping me updated on what was going on and was able to find the root of the problem. He was very transparent on when he would be able to get time to look at my van and I could not be more happy with the entire experience at Downriver Transmission. I highly recommend Downriver Transmission!

Brought my sons truck in thinking it was the transmission. Turns out, it was a filter and fuel pump issue. I totally recommend this shop!! They easily could of took advantage of my son. They are honest and reliable!! Had his truck back within a couple hours and he didn't have to empty his savings

I highly reccomend Downriver Transmission. They did a wonderful job fixing my Dodge Journey right before Christmas. As we all know car problems can be quite frustrating. These guys got my car back to me in less then 48 hours.

Had my ford contour done about 7 years ago the car still works great. So I returned with my van February of 2015 and had him fix that transmission and it went out again October 7 2016 NOT A HAPPY CAMPER ABOUT THIS.~~LOOKING FOR A NEW PLACE NOW ~~

Experts in transmissions. From my 1966 Ford Galaxie C6, to my dad's 2003 Dodge Intrepid, to my 2017 Journey. They also identified other (non trans) issues that needed attention.
