Needed something in a pinch and found this place. I was pleasantly surprised for a small motel. Quaint exterior but rooms have been remodeled and were clean.Service was great. I needed some extra pillows and toiletries and she brought them right down.There is a fireplace, grills and horseshoe pit. There is a nice little beach area down the road with Petoskey and Leelanau rocks.Bonus- there are a couple kitties wandering outside to visit with.

This is a BEAUTIFUL little Inn. The new owners recently remodeled and our room was spotless, well organized, and so pretty! I spoke with one of the owners and she was sweet and friendly--just like the little Tortoise Shell kitty who hangs out outside and makes sure everyone is safe inside at night. A 5 minute walk takes you to a gorgeous quiet beach with an epic view.There was even a microfiber cloth for makeup removal by the sink--a personal touch in an already friendly place. This was the best place we stayed in a week of traveling the lakeshore, choose this one!Rooms: Clean and tasteful.

Loved this charming, cozy motel. Comfortable bed. Clean motel room. Easy to find. Close to orchards, wineries, shopping, restaurants, all nearby. Traverse City is only 10 minutes away. Support small business.Rooms: Spacious. Queen size beds. Big picture windows. Warm and cozy this fall.Safety: Quiet town. Only a handful of motel rooms. I loved this place. I would definitely visit again.

This was a great place.The inn keeper does a great job! Rooms are updated. Very clean and well maintained. They have a fire pit w wood to use and a gas grille . To advantage of both! Short walk to a beautiful private beach! Where u can view a beautiful sunset!Walkability: Short walk to private beachFood & drinks: Downtown elk rapids 3min drive to great restaurants

Neither large nor luxurious rooms, as the bed alone took up maybe 3/4 of the space, but everything was very well kept and in good repair. The only sour note was the AC unit blowing directly and a bit uncomfortably onto the bed but, after a little study, we were able to adjust the louvers to pretty much eliminate that. The proprietor was quite friendly and helpful at check-in and check out was simply a matter of dropping your keys in a box, couldn't be easier. Can absolutely recommend this as a solid base to work from while enjoying other activities in the area.

My husband uses a walker and I called to make my August 2023 reservation for a five day stay. I talked to the staff. They told me they had a large king bed room that would accommodate us. My husband's walker could not get past the end of the bed into the bathroom without collapsing it. Upon arrival, I asked for a shower chair. They did not have one. I also asked for an iron. 5 days later I still never got it. Housekeeping consisted of emptying the trash cans, removing dirty towels and dropping off clean ons. They vacuumed once and we had crumbs on the carpet for 4 days. Our cherries and peaches were frozen in the room's frig. I called and asked for it to be fixed. They just turned off the frig and then we didn't have any refrigeration. I do not recommend this motel.

Every year, we try to go to Traverse City during the 4th of July and this is the first year we have been able to spend the night during our trip! We wanted something outside of traverse city so we found this place and it was sooo nice! We got to check in at 2 instead of 3, the staff was so nice, the room was so cute and clean; very cozy. There was a beach 5 min walking distance so we took advantage of that and it was soo cute and clean; very relaxing. And for all that, couldn't beat the price! I definitely will be recommending this to others who take trips up this way. And we will definitely consider this every trip! Thank you so much for a great experience!

Elk Rapids Lakeshore Inn exceeded my expectations. It has a clean, friendly, and well kept atmosphere within very close driving distance of the very charming town of Elk Rapids. The staff was helpful, the rooms were sharp, and the proximity to shopping, dining, and the beach were incredible. We will stay here again and recommend it to anyone heading to the Pure Michigan north!

Awesome hotel. Clean, cheap, (119 a night for two queen beds), just a small walk down a road to private beach access. Front desk lady was nice. Night vibes are immaculate. A hidden gem, would recommend this place to anyone staying near Elk Rapids.Negative reviews talking about bugs, smell, water, etc. are absolutely capping.Also you get a key instead of a keycard which is way cooler.This place was so good I am actually writing a Google review about it.

Cute hotel room. Plenty of room for 3 people. Was definitely worth the 20 min drive outside TC to save $150 on a hotel. Bathroom was small (don't mind out dirty towels) I could see how someone would complain. If you just shut the door once your inside there should be no problem. This room was the Queen Suite with jet tub. Would stay again! Others complained about the water since it is well, but we had our own water and just used it to brush our teeth and shower.

The room was very clean and we were very happy with the room. The location is quiet and the hotel is well maintained, The rooms are clean and well presented. The price is reasonable for what you get. The room looks to be newly remodeled and is well put together. The only downside seems to be the plumbing, the water quality was fine, but the pipes are old, During our stay, we had minor issues with the toilet and sink. Kelsey, the front desk lady, is very kind and very helpful. She called a plumber and by the time we got back later that day, the issue was taken care of.

I want to start out by saying that this was one of the most excellent hotel stays I have had. The rooms were very clean. The staff was so friendly and cared about our stay. We had a little glitch and Kelsey took care of it. I would highly recommend staying with them. You won't be dissatisfied. I stayed here at the beginning of August, 2022 with my daughter and granddaughter. So close to everything. Perfect place to stay. Only 5 stars but I would give them a 10. This hotel experience for me and my wife and kids was a great. The rooms were cozy and everything was just great from the fire pit and the the complementary grill and the short walk to the beach it was just an awesome experience and we will be back. I gave it four stars because my only complaint were the beds, me and my wife both woke up with a little back pain but that still wouldn t stop me from coming back, we will definitely be coming back. We really enjoyed our stay here.

My wife and I spent 2 nights at the Lakeshore Inn which was one of the most quiet and peaceful places that we have stayed in. The room was immaculate, the beds were comfortable and the overall appearance of the whole place showed that the comfort of the guests was the top priority. We will definitely stay here again.

Goodness we LOVED our stay at Lakeshore Inn! My fiance and I just left not long ago and we were very pleasantly happy. Upon arriving we were kindly greeted by Kelsey and given info about the Inn. We found out they have a nice big fire pit, wood chopped and supplied with chairs for any visitors to use! They also have lake access with a small 5 minute walk, it had a cute beach and beautiful view. Our room was very clean and updated with comfy beds, refrigerator, microwave and a single cup coffee maker. During our 4 day stay we saw Kelsey busting her butt all around the Inn, getting rooms cleaned and taking care of the grounds. She even went above and beyond to help us get our daughter a fork. Sounds silly but it's the little things that count and her willingness to happily help us makes an impression. The girl deserves a raise! If you're looking for a great priced place to stay that is a short drive to everything topped off with a cozy welcoming atmosphere, you need to go here! We will definitely be back!!!

Ok when I arrived I was disappointed. The on line photos made it seem like you could see the water from the property. But it really is only 0.2 of mile through a pleasantly woode area. The sign says no public access but the motel is part of that association and that is their beach. The staff was friendly and hard working and rooms clean and well decorated. Over all I would stay here again. Only 20 minutes to Traverse City but you get to leave the noise and return to a quiet motel a nostalgic throw back to a simpler time

Very quiet roadside motel. We got the Queen Suite with Jacuzzi, pricing was much better than any hotels in town. Water is from their well and the pipes are old so the water does build up yellow residue, which we were made aware of by the front desk. The 5 minute walk to the beach was a nice addition as well! Bathroom is honestly very cramped and the shower head is awkwardly angled so taking a show was claustrophobic for me, but I managed.

We wanted something close but out of the city, a quiet place for our stay. I found this place online and was a little leery about ending up in a dirty motel scenario because of how low the rate was for a Jacuzzi room, but i was not disappointed at all! The room was great. Up to date furnishings, comfortable, and very clean. The staff were great. We were already planning our return before we even finished our stay!

Very basic room, small even for 2 people. A little smelly. Small bathroom, it was difficult to even stand at the sink to brush our teeth. We had a queen bed and the mattress was pretty uncomfortable. The water on the property seemed rusty. Maybe the pipes were old. We used bottle water even to rinse out mouth.The lady on the property was very helpful and hospitable. The location was pretty nice. 5 mins from elk rapids downtown. But will not stay there again

Kellie was so kind and professional. I travel with my dog Chopper. They do not normally take pets, but with the owners permission allowed Chopper to stay. What a treat such a beautiful room. Colors, bed, pillows just perfect. We stay all over the country this was our favorite room. It is our favorite place and hope to visit again. Thanks for the hospitality others should take note. They would learn a lot from this place.

This basic but adequate Motel has a great location north of Traverse City, just outside of Elk Rapids. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and my only complaint was the water. It has a strong iron and sulfur pungency. In every other way, though , I recommend you consider this for a modest and comfortable overnight.

Recently refurbished and redecorated rooms with all the modcons. Excellent mattresses and bedding. Beautiful setting for resting after a day on the road. Great location for sightseeing tours and leaf peeping. Best part of the trip lol.
