This shop came recommended from my usual garage. Had a clutch replaced on a car. They offered a fair price based on cost estimates for a similar job found online. I had a concern with the car after I got it back but they took care of it. The owner/manager and employee that I interacted with were both polite and professional and answered all my questions. Would recommend.

It's long overdue, but these guys are awesome! They were able to get my clutch assembly replaced very quickly for a very reasonable price. Plus, they were able to take care of other issues my vehicle had while covering the initial problem. Overall, amazing customer service, great professionalism, and awesome work they performed. Would recommend to anyone

I brought my Mazda with a 5 speed manual transmission to Westland Precision Transmission because they were highly recommended by their competitors, which seemed strange to say the least. I knew that my clutch was worn almost completely away. Replacing the clutch means dismounting the entire engine from the car, with lots of wiring connections and other challenges to be managed. These guys performed perfectly. The work was done in a timely manner and within budget. Their honesty and caring attitudes provided an enjoyable experience for me. I would gladly recommend them to anyone I care about for transmission work. Thanks guys! Truly well done.Service: Transmission

I took my jeep grand Cherokee into Westland Precision Transmission to have the transmission rebuilt because it would shift hard into third gear and get stuck in third gear. They charged me $4000 and kept the vehicle for over two months. I ve had the vehicle back in at least five or six times and it s now a year plus later and the transmission continues to do what I took it in for and has never been repaired.

Tony and the team at Westland Precision Transmission took on the challenging task of addressing the manual transmission and clutch issues on my classic 1972 Ford Bronco. Their professionalism and dedication to the craft of diagnostics and repair was clear and refreshing. Hats off to the entire team involved and thanks for the great repair!Service: Transmission

These guys are the best! I know this is hard to believe but... they are honest and have decent prices. The will not tell you something's wrong if it's not. They do quality work. I've taken several vehicles there in the last few years and I've never been happier with any repair shop in any state.

Forgive the long review but I think its important to elaborate here. It's not very difficult to find an affordable transmission shop, it's also not very difficult to find a transmission shop with very skilled and knowledgeable techs and ownership. What is incredibly rare and difficult to find is both at the same time, and that's exactly what Westland Transmission is.I took my Mustang there as a last ditch effort based on a reccomendation from my general mechanic after being horrendously ripped off by multiple shops in the past who both lied to me while trying to upsell me on parts i did not at all need. You can tell almost immediately that these guys are honest hardworking people who want to get your car right without financially crippling you, which is especially rare to find these days. I worked specifically with Tony and Brian and both of them are incredibly knowledgeable and understand tramissions probably better than the engineers who designed them.I know for a fact that every vehicle I own will be going here if it needs tranmission work.

I would give them 10 stars if I could for professionalism, knowledgeable and customer care. Long story shortish: I had originally taken my 15 jeep patriot to a different shop down the road for a different issue that ended with them(the other shop) returning my jeep to me in worse condition than it had went in there for. They said they thought it may be my transmission which lead me to just taking it else where and that is how I ended up at Westland Transmission. Shaken up and bummed, these guys listened to what happened and from there they treated me with respect and kindness. They truly helped me more than they know and I m forever grateful. May I add it also turned out, it was never my transmission, it turns out my jeep needed a one of a kind part that was truly just unexpected but these guys never gave up.Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!Melanie

I needed a transmission replaced and although I had my usual repair place do the job, the gentleman I spoke to was very friendly and spent a good amount of time on the phone explaining to me everything about my trans and why these types are going bad, couldn't be rebuilt and would have to be replaced. He was right!

These guys were excellent to me. I had a major repair and a few months later a different aspect of the transmission also went out. They honored the warranty even though I was just barely over it. I was a life saver. They did great work and treated me like a real person with excellent care. I recommend you give them a try.

In March of '22 I took my '15 Hyundai in because Mr Muffler (warren/merriman) said the vehicle had a slight differential fluid leak after giving me an oil change. They were honest and told me they didn't see a leak in the front or back (AWD). I did have to pay $95 for the diagnosis but it could have been a lot more.

I was very pleased with how quickly the guys got my transfer case done on my Explorer. The cost of repairs were more than reasonable. I would definitely go back.

This is my first experience at any automotive repair facility that was 100% honest with the customer's best interest at heart. I had to have my car towed to the shop after I was unable to shift into gear. After Brian inspected the vehicle and researched the problem for me, he determined my master/slave cylinder failed (2nd time-repaired at a different facility) as my clutch needed replaced. The cost associated with such a repair is high, knowing this I asked Brian for a couple days to think about my options. I was allowed to keep my car there for a week and a half with no storage charges. In the end I determined my best option would be to get rid of the car and get a new car. I was charged nothing for the inspection, research and storage of my vehicle. This shop truly cares about what is best for the customer and will not try and sell you any part or service that is not required. I will no doubt be a returning customer in the future. I highly recommend this Westland Precision Transmission for all your repair needs.

I got my trans rebuilt.. They charged me $2100 and gave me a 12,000 miles warranty.. My mileage was at 178,735 and the trans went out again at 191,336.. So 600 miles over their warranty and they actually said well it s past warranty tell you what I ll work with you on labor you just pay for parts.. Then called me back and said well it s going to be $2,000.. Are you joking me?? $2,100 and it only lasts 12,600 miles and now you want me to pay you another $2000 when obviously you did a shady job the first time and missed replacing lines.. Unbelievable.. If you go here be prepared for shady work and for them to try and rip you off..Service: Transmission

I am new to the area and when I had new brakes installed I was told my transmission was leaking. Belle Tire recommended Westland Precision Transmission to me. Even though they couldn't get me in that day they had me come in to make sure I had fluid and it was safe for me to drive. The day of repair they drove me home and picked me up after only having the car 4 hours. The price was more than reasonable. Now I know why they are always busy!!!Don't waste yoyr time calling anyone else for transmission repair, just dial their number and get an honest answer and wonderful service.

Took my wife's Saturn Vue here at the recommendation of another shop that was not equipped to fix the transmission. They were courteous and straight forward with what work they had to do to diagnosis and fix the transmission. I will definitely keep them in mind if I ever need transmission work again.

I took my truck in for a fluid exchange. They told me that the fluid exchange wouldn't do anything and my trans was shot. They didn't do any unnecessary work and saved me $150. They allowed me to keep my truck on their property while I took out my personal items and waited (they worked while I waited)past 9 pm for a tow truck to show to pick up my truck.

I was told the rear end was bad on my van by a shop, I wont mention. So I called several places to get an estimate on how much that would cost to repair. Westland Transmission was the only shop who told me to bring it in and he'll "take a look at it free of charge." I dropped my van off and explained the sound my van was making and what the other shops had told me. Come to find out it was just loose lug nuts. Serioulsy! I felt like a jackass. These guys couldve tightened my lug nuts, replaced my rear end or Not, and charged me. I wouldve never knew. Instead, he tightened my lugs free of charge and sent me on my way. 5 stars!! Completely honest!! What else can you ask for?

We called and talked to Tony on Friday, May 5, 2017 and asked to get a quote on a rebuild for a 2004 Mercury Monterey Minivan (aka: Ford Freestar). Tony, asked if we had driven through some water or in other words got the engine and the computer wet. He suggested to garage it and put some lamps on it to help dry it out and to call back if that didn't work. If it did, to call and they also had a fix to shield the computer from future water. We hit it with work lights and then a heat gun after watching video's to find out exactly where it was located. Then we came across videos for a service call (not a recall) and video instruction on how to fix it. $20 for silicone and weather strip and 45 minutes and we are fixed saving us a useless $1,700 rebuild. Absolutely great advice and I will certainly be a future customer. Gonna take my Saturn Vue Redline there soon. Thanks Tony for your service.
