3/30/24: Outstanding customer service by Joe. He went above and beyond to help me get my car battery out and charged. Very nice and knowledgeable young man. Kudos!

If it was an option to give 0 stars or even negative stars I would. The customer service is horrible at this location. If paying with a credit card make sure you get the right product because they apparently don't understand the difference between the words return and exchange, which clearly have two different meanings in the English dictionary. To them exchanging one item for almost the exact same item at different retail prices might as well be as difficult as astrophysics or quantum mechanics. The employees are of no help and when you ask to speak to a store manager they will act as if they are said manager without any visible credentials and of course continue not to help you and give you the run around.

Occasionally I'll run into a hiccup.. somebody'll have an attitude like I don't care or don't want to be here.. but for the most part, pretty good service. Pretty friendly. Knowledgeable. Willing to call around for you if you need the help. As for prices, not too sure about in store, do more of my shopping online and pick up in store They could change the car scanner just a little though. Having a printout would be a lot nicer than having to take a bunch of pictures

Let me just say this.. I won't be coming back because SOME of the people that works there (james) didn't have good customers service... I came in yesterday b4 work to replace my low light high beams, after I purchased it I asked if he could put it in for me, then he started giving me 101 millions y he couldn't put it in.. but he told me to come back the next day so someone else can put it in & that's where james comes. Came back the next day and went straight to the counter, told james about the situation & he's getting very impatient wit me, I asked for the manger since he was giving me attitude & he gone say he is.. long story short I won't recommend & I won't be coming back

Seriously.... I went there looking for engine flush. The store can use some cleaning. Second the old man in the store was acting smart. They had one kind of chemical flush and I asked him if they carry any other ibrands in the back. He started : And why do I need to carry different brand? And what for? I told him there are many different once.... Like what? I showed him on my phone..... It happen that other autozone have them.... And he still talking to me about marketing sales and they are all the same. I only appreciate Answer to my question. Customer service to help not to annoy. I don't recommend this place at all.

They get me a good deal on a new battery with a 3 year warranty as well as a new air filter... And to top it all off Gary even installed it for me!!! Thank you so much Gary B. Also thank you for the recommendation on getting the anti-corrosion battery tape for it to last longer as well!!!

In the time i was on hold....i was able to change my clothes, drive to Advance Auto and get my parts i needed and leave, all while still on hold. I called back n told them my situation and they said their extremely busy. So i posted a photo at the same time of my phone call. Mind u they are next door.

Everybody there over the weekend was more interested in playing games on their phones than looking up even to acknowledge what I was asking about the girl was the most helpful but the two 60 year old men were playing games and rolling their eyes like 13 year old tweens it was quite unsettling and I'll never be back to this location they should both be fired and reassess their lots in life...

Excellent service staff is always helpful and willing to go the extra mile to make sure the customer is happy. The clerk at the counter brad was very helpful and helped me install my windshield blades. Highly recommend and will refer anybody to this location

I went into this location, and asked for the Store Manager. The polite man at the counter was the Store Manager. I asked him for a few minutes to resolve an issue. He took the time to listen, look, and then went above & beyond to help fix the problem!! Thank you Joe! I can only hope other managers you train & develop to be Store Managers have just as high standards & provide quality customer service too. Thank you & your staff for doing a fantastic job.

Absolutely rude. The website had a battery for 109. When I got there he said that battery didn't even show up and the only one he had was 209. He said the website was wrong and didn't offer to see if another store had it in stock or anything.

I had an associate named Richard from store #2148 in Westland on Wayne Road give me the best experience and get my vehicle back up and running the proper way. I believe this man deserves a pay raise. I was trying to handle the situation myself but being to multiple auto zone and advanced auto zone locations in the month of January February and March and getting mixed answers from younger associates and even having to do a special order bulb, that I did not need. I came back to the auto zone store #2148 in Westland on Wayne Rd. near the end of March and met Richard. Richard was respectful when I first walked into the location notifying me he would be right with me, after he finished with the customers ahead of me. Richard was able to help 3 customers, in the time it took the other associate to help 1 customer. Richard then moved on to me, he was able to fix all my issues I had been trying to fix for the last few months. Richard was able to use his experience and knowledge to correct me and other associates that were wrong and told me I needed the special order bulb. He was able to explain it was my wiring for my led Daylight running lights that was my issue. He was able to help me get it fixed in no time with his fast yet very professional eyes. Every younger associate and every other location had me believing I needed a bulb and after taking my whole grill, fender, and light assembly off my Voltswagon I still could not see the issue myself. As a single young woman looking for respectful and confidence in the direction of the maintenance of my vehicle, I will be looking only for Richard. Richard s knowledge and experience made me leave with pure confidence and respect in myself, and he not only gave it to me but all the customers ahead of me and behind me. He takes his time to insure each customer and purchase and that goes along way in businesses. I believe that Richard should be recognized for the amazing work he is doing. I can now leave to go to work with confidence in the safety and maintenance of my vehicle. I will continue to come back to Auto Zone store #2148 in Westland and on Wayne Rd because of Richard. Thank you Richard for your dedication to your job and the time and service you give others! It is noticeable and appreciated by many!

If you need your tail light bulb replaced don't bother coming to this location! Just wasted a trip here. The older guy I asked for help was a jerk and turned me away. I don't know if it's because I'm a woman or he just did not feel like helping me. I have ALWAYS gotten help with replacement bulbs at other Autozone locations!! He kept making snide remarks as if I wasn't sure which light was out. I told him no I didn't see the light was out myself but my mom & Goodyear told me the same tail light. Regardless of the fact, he could have easily verified which was out if he wanted to help me. Instead he gave me a weak excuse saying "they aren't allowed to change my bulb because of how it's assembled?!" I have a Mazda 6, the bulb is EASILY accessible. No other location has ever given me a hard time! I had to go to O'Reilly's to get some help. They were more than happy to help me! That old man that works there needs some customer service skills...

I've gotta admit that I was incredibly impressed with my recent visit. I was in need of a front cv axle for my truck and 1st off this Autozone was the only auto parts store locally that had mine in stock (believe me I checked) 2nd the thing that really surprised me was the heavy duty torque wrench that I needed was $20 cheaper than the one I was about to go purchase from Harbor Freight + they had the big ol' 36mm socket I needed for my axle nut in stock without having to buy a whole set to get it- like I was going to have to at ye old Freight store. Bravo Autozone, helpful staff & pleasant surprises like this are why you're my go to.

Very bad experience with manager (Bill). Had a battery problem (had bought a battery from another store Auto Zone store) was dying on me. When he saw that the computer said it takes 45 mins to change, he said he couldn't do it. Went back/forth told him it didn't take that long. He told me to go take battery out and he would exchange it. Told him I wasn't satisfied and he really didn't care. Will NEVER go back to that store again.

These guys are great! They helped me with my headlights because it was too daft for me to see. My helper made me turn the lights in to check around the car and we found another bulb which he replaced.If you had 10,000 like this guy you would own 100% of the market

I went here for the first time tonight since they were the only autozone open until 10 pm in my area, and as soon as I walked in, I greeted the lady at the register "Hi! How are you?" and she didn't even take a second to greet me back. Instead, she asked "Are you paying cash?". I could see that this lady didn't care too much about the customers and she just wanted to close the store already even though I came in at 9:05 pm.I told her that actually I'm not buying anything and she made a face like she was so let down. I politely told her that I have an engine light on and I was hoping if they could take a look at it. She made another confused face and she was at a loss of words for a few seconds and just stared at me with the most serious and uncaring look ever almost as if she wanted to say "really?". Instead she came up with an excuse that they don't let one person go out when there are only two people in the store at that time of the night. I can understand that if that were the company's policy but something was telling me that this lady just wanted to find an excuse not to work. I understand that I was not technically a customer since I wasn't buying anything but getting a free diagnosis of the dashboard errors is a service that the company provides and whether she liked the fact that I was not buying anything or not, she should have still provided the service. Please correct me if it is company policy not to let one of the employees go out when there are only two people in the store.I needed help and this employee was not interested in helping a customer. To me, that's a reflection on the whole staff.I've had good experiences at the location in Livonia and I would not recommend anybody to go to this location.

I came here after my son s soccer practice because my car wasn t starting normal. Richard McMillen seemed to really care about the issues I was having, came out to test my battery and it was bad. He helped me get the correct battery, replaced it and also cleaned around the connection. He was sure to explain everything to me and even let my very excited 5 year old hold the flashlight and showed him what he was doing. Because of the professional treatment we received here, we will be repeat customers for sure. Thank you so much for taking care of us before our trip!

I would just like to share the exemplary service I was given by a young man I believe who s name was Tim. I haven t had such a good interaction with an employee since 1987 with a family owned company. Sad thing is, it was my family who owned the company.Long story short, he listened, spoke clear and confidently, and was a genuine joy to talk to. I will be back to this Auto Zone and this Auto Zone ONLY because of said interaction.

Place is pretty cool, quick, and supportive. Way better than the one on middlebelt. There s just this one guy who s always rude to people and wants them in and out quickly so he can go back to doing nothing. Besides that everyone else has been great.
