The transition to new ownership has its own challenges with the billing system. They have subsequently raised the rent of each unit. Made sense to cover improvements and recoup on their investment. They're really easy to work with. Not looking forward to any additional increases, ideally. Otherwise may seek rental elsewhere.

The owners are so nice and helpful and love that the storage units are Secure and safe! I was with another storage company that was horrible and tried to cut my lock off instead of letting me know they had to replace the door because someone ran into it. Did not sound right to me . That was the day one of my son s friends helped and told me about you all. He has a unit there and I was so grateful! I really love that I get an email as a reminder that my payment will be coming out in a few days!

Best place around for storage! Easy to rent, facility is always kept super clean and clear of snow. Rest assured your belongings will be kept safe. Also get some delicious food next door while there....shameless plug!! But seriously, you should use this place, we do!!

The new ownership team is great. They've made many improvements, including online rent paying, and a new gate with a passcode for each renter. We've been with them for a couple of years and plan to stay. There's always someone to help with questions if you call, and if you leave a voicemail they always call back. Happy to have a unit here

I ve had the best experience using this storage unit. Since day one they have worked with my husband and I with payments making sure all my things are safe and out of the elements. I definitely recommend using this storage unit.

The facility is older, but it's been a positive experience working with Blackwood since they took over this location from the original owners. Blackwood has work to get this location into better condition and it shows! Rosemary and Colleen have always been kind and helpful.

Very professional company that has increased the safety of the storage facility in Watervliet. There was a very seamless transfer from the previous owners that made it very easy to stay. I would recommend Blackwood Storage to anyone looking for Storage!!

We had an issue opening the door of our storage unit and one of the Blackwood employees that was working around our unit took time out from his tasks to look at our door. He quickly determined the problem and scheduled the repair work. The door now opens easily.

Blackwood storage is an amazing facility. They offer insurance on your units, keep the lawn mowed during the warm months, and keep the drives plowed during the cold months. the are always a phone call away if I need them. Ive been a Customer with them for the past 6 years and Will not go anywhere else. Thank you Blackwood Storage for being an amazing facility.Krystal Cronk

Blackwood has been our family's self storage facility for a number of years. The staff is helpful and responsive, and the facility is well maintained and secure, with easy access. My step brother/Tony and I are happy storing there, the items the family still wants to keep but has no 'home' room for.JP/Tony D.

I bought a storage unit from there from an auction. I had it 80% clean, I had a work incident and couldn t return calls and finish cleaning for about a week. They called and threatened to post on my business page, very unprofessional by them.Initial conversation and meeting was very pleasant, but when things didn t go their way it went very poorly. Area is not maintained well, pulling my truck and trailer through it was scratched by outside trees and got a nail in my tire.Very nice people until things didn t go accordingly.
