I would never recommend this place for auto work. I had my car towed to this shop for service and was charged a $75 inspection fee, I understood that but what was odd is that the insection fee was not deducted from the cost since they were doing the work. They charged me $75 plus the cost to put on a new starter totalling $359, I was quite upset, if my car would've been operable i definately would've taken it somewhere else. They probably charged me like that knowing 9 times outta 10 im not gonna get another tow to another shop. And i sure as hell dont wanna give them 1 star, they deserve 0 stars. Oh, wait, they were polite while they overcharged me I'd never go back there, even if my car broke down in front of that shop I'd tow it to another shop. Crooks.Update: No, it wasn't for the device. I asked the man about the charge and why it wasn't being deducted from the price and I was told that this shop don't do that. Then he broke the costs down for me again. Not one time did he say anything about inspection cost for the device. Come on now, really, do you think I would've gave this review had that been the case. Then after I was beat out of my $75, I received a notice that this shop don't service those breathalyzer devices any longer. Wow, wasn't even a week had passed, wonder why that happened. Maybe Dave's discount don't enjoy getting $75 each time they take a look at a device. However, the cost for the repair and inspection was reimbursed to me by the device manufacturer within a week.

I meant to do a review awhile ago but forgot and today they were super helpful so just want to let you all know the reviews are good for a reason. This place is legit. The only auto shop I've been a repeat customer of. Plus they do quick oil changes. Fast and efficient, helpful, friendly and competitive pricing. Highly recommend!

I had a flat tire and pulled into this place. They don t handle new ones but Dave was kind of to change my tire for free. Very pleasant service

That s so true what other reviews say. Dave is the best, honest, trustworthy and reliable. He s never done what other mechanics are known to be like, he s never ever deceived or manipulated anyone into paying for unnecessary repairs. they always take great care of me for years now, never trying to charge me for things I don't need. Dave and his team are the best and one of the most honest mechanics i've ever taken my car(s) to.12/10 would recommend Dave's Discount Auto to anyone. I already do.

Dave has always been honest and fair and has taken great care of our family's vehicles. Not at all pushy or demeaning like some places. Does what's necessary at fair prices and tells us how to best maintain our vehicles and what to expect in the future.

I had a exhaust problem I went to Dave's Discount Auto they had my exhaust fixed so fast I didn't even realize it was done I would highly recommend Dave's Discount Auto to anybody looking for auto service for the automobile thank you Dave's Discount for such fast service and excellent pricing

Dave's Discount Auto is one of the few repair shops around where you can trust you won't get taken advantage of. Dave is a truly honest guy and does good work. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would.

Dave and his crew did a remarkable job with my car. I dropped it off Monday night after hours and by 1130am the next day it was done. I needed a new alternator and serpentine belt it was done very quickly at a reasonable price they were very helpful at all times!!! I will recommend this place to everybody I know !(:

I've been taking my jeeps to Dave's for over 10 years now, and I can truly say that I trust nobody else with my vehicles. I moved near Royal Oak and made the mistake of going to somewhere else nearby for an oil change, and walked out with a $3,000 list of recommendations that was made to seem completely necessary. I took my jeep to Dave shortly after who found none of those "issues". He is always professional, takes a look at my car quickly, is very reasonably priced, and most important trustworthy.Services: Engine repair, Brakes, Oil change

Great and fast service. I took my car here during my lunch break to see if it was something they could fix Monday the following week, Dave told me he could have it fixed that day within an hour. He was honest about the problem I was having and showed me exactly what it was. He also gave me options on how we could repair the problem and gave an extremely fair price. I will definitely be back for any other auto repairs I need because I feel that he is somebody that can be trusted and won't try and cheat me.

Dave has been my mechanic for about 15 years now! As a mechanics daughter I can tell you, without hesitation, that Dave does not rip off women! I have gone to other establishments where they told me I needed more than what I actually did. Dave never does that! All my family and friends love him!

Wonderful Auto Shop! Trust worthy owner and operator! Friendly and quick service.I was able to visit during my lunch hour. I had an oil change and tire rotation done. I got a cup of coffee and they were done before it cooled down for me to drink!I won t take my vehicle any other place for services.

i just got my dodge dakota convertible back. dave changed the plugs and oil and took care of my non start problem within hours. Dave gave me a fair price and very quick service. I would highly recommend this place

Well use to come here alot spent $$$ had my Chevy truck in here for exhaust manifolds gasket well few years later truck makes all kinds of noise over the last few years i couldn't take it. So i took it to fast&fair to cut open exhaust and he found 2 exhaust bolts that were thrown in my exhaust traveling down to the cat! Destroyed it. Not really too happy here. Also stripped a bolt on the manifolds left it loose. Had to put a nut on the stud then put the other nut on and tighten down.

Bad first impression I don't believe the reviews I could have my friends say something nice about me too! First time I walked in the place reminds me of stories my grandfather told me about Alabama in the 60's.

Today I picked up my car, I called before I went there and told him that I was on my was , I got there , paid for the work that was done, the guy told me that the battery was dead and I needed a boost, and he was about to leave, I said you I have to call AAA , he said yes and lock the door and Left, I called AAA the came an hour and a half later, I got a boost, and it only took 5 minutes. Horrible Customer service, he just left me in his parking lot, of hi business

I dropped a friend off to pick up his car. Owner called at 428 to say it was ready and he closed at 5. We called at 455 to say we were pulling up. When we got there car battery was dead and the person said I'm off and would not give us a jumpstart. Poor customer service!!

I was far from home and my starter went out. Took it to dave and they had me back on the road in a couple hours. Very nice ppl. And a wonderful job
