First of all, I have been going to Cal's Auto for years with all of my work vehicles. A few years ago, they used to be a reasonably priced repair service with a quick turnaround which is why I continued to use them. However, about 3 or 4 years ago this all changed. My business partner took his 2016 Chevrolet Silverado in, they told him it needed control arms, rotors, calipers, etc... A year and a half later he took it in and they told him he needed control arms, rotors, calipers, etc and it would be over $3000...so I just stopped going there. I think the original owner sold the company. A few weeks ago my Express van was having problems with the battery wire. They towed my van, which was 2 miles away, and told me it would be $1200 to fix. He justified the price by saying that they would have to get into the fuse box and it would take 6 or 7 hours of labor. I said, no, I'll come pick it up. They wanted to charge me $175 for towing, plus a $75 diagnostic fee, he said just wait and I'll see what I can do and call you back. So, he calls me back about 5 mins later and says, "well, you've given us a lot of business in the past so we'll do it for $900." OVER 25% off! So, when were you lying to me? I needed my van for work so I just said go ahead. When I went to pick up my van the battery was dead and they had to jump start it. After a few weeks I decided to see exactly what they had done and I was shocked. They literally ran a wire from my starter to my fuse box, accessed power by taking out a relay, sticking the wire in and plugging the relay back in. Like something a 12 year old would do if he was trying to hook up a stereo or something. The wire was bare and they didn't even bother to route it correctly. Plus they charged me to replace a starter that had been replaced a mere 6 months ago. I'm not even sure they actually replaced it because the one in there was new already. I'm not sure how they get so many positive reviews. I have been in business for over 25 years and have a 5 star rating on Google and Angies list and people just don't leave reviews like that. I think they are fake. My recommendation to anyone seeking repairs to stay as far away from this place as possible. They are scam artists. Who drops their price from $1200 to $900?!? I don't want them anywhere NEAR my vehicles again. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on ME! I'm beyond pissed. $900 for NOTHING!!! I would pay more attention to the 1 star reviews, those sound genuine. Remember, I warned you!

Great service. Great people. The best mechanics. The best collision service. I won t let anyone else touch my cars except for the guys at Cal s Auto Repair Center.

Horrible service overly priced go any where the price is cut in half.Very nice a calm people for sure !they use to be really good had my car in an out an good priceThey did not fully diagnose my car to tell me 100 percent what the problem was they went off my word I guess I m the mechanic. After they fixed what I said what was wrong with it they fixed another part as well I got back same day I checked it out same day my car did not work I brought it back they said they could not do anything until after the weekend I come back Monday at 11am for them to say they have to keep it over night they call me at 9:19am to tell me I need something else done to it an it s going to cost 2 times as much as any other shop cause I looked around.Definitely check around before you go to cal s auto repair center if It was 3 things wrong with my car I could of went somewhere else an get them all done for the price of one what yaw charged me. For nothing to be resolved. Thank you for nothing

I m writing this review on behalf of my mom. She pulled into Cal s because her car was smoking, they took such good care of her and even called her several days later to make sure the car was running good. Thank you so much for your excellent customer service.

Went in to inspect this establishment because I wasn't happy with the professionalism of the body my car was towed to after an accident. I was meet with professionalism and had my questions answered. The lot here is secure and gated. They have to mechanical ability and licenses through the state posted om their wall and seem capable to provide the repairs

This place is the worst shop in Michigan!!! First of all they misdiagnosed the issue with my vehicle. Then they charged me $1500 dollars to fix the problem. Two weeks after the repair my car was down again. So the came out to tow it back to the shop because the repairs were under warranty. The next day they called and said I would need a new battery and alternator but the repair they did two weeks prior was fine I would have to pay an additional $900 for that service.So I told them I would be coming to get my car. Once I got there they tried to refuse giving me my keys until I paid $224 for a tow that was less than 2 miles from the shop. A argument began the manager used profane racial and homophonic slurs against me. Eventually he gave me keys after I threatened to call the police. But here s the kicker they damaged my whole electrical wiring harness which caused the problem with the battery and alternator and I sure they knew that and still tried to charge me twice!! Total scammers do not take your vehicle here!

I been waiting for a wiper motor for 2 years that's already been paid for by my warranty company. My warranty on the car has expired so I guess they think they can keep the money and don't replace my wiper motor. This one guy up there is act like a dopefein and tell multiple lies.

I need to explain Before I give you my My impression of Cals Auto repair center I have a 1994 Toyota Camry. My car would not run. Of course I took it to the Toyota dealer Matick by the way. Supposedly a Toyota dealer would know immediately what's wrong with my car they put in two parts that were faulty. They couldn't deal with it . They said it is not fixable Called Cals Told him this situation he said there is no thing like not fixable Voil� they fixed it my conclusion, I highly recommend Cals Auto repair center Exceptional service clean and safe environment if you ever need your vehicle fixed, they will fix it and you will be happy they even pick you up and then take you back no charge they have a payment system which I think is wonderful. If you have a Toyota, I would recommend Cals auto repair. I did a lot of business for Matick In the past For oil change and for other things too, but no major I'm going to brag about my Toyota. It's an excellent car and I take pride in it. I am very upset with matick For not fixing my car, I have a lot of faith in Toyota dealership, but not anymore these guys at Cals Take the time to fix my vehicle they take pride like I do thank you Cals Fixing my vehicle thank you thank you thank you. OK

I definitely recommend Cal s Auto very reasonable prices and really good work. This is the only shop I let work on my vehicle. Great people that do great work when my trailblazer overheated I brought it here they took me back and showed me where it was leaking and gave me a ride home while they did the repairs and even picked me back up . I'm really grateful for having honest mechanics in my neighborhood thank you guys for all the work! Highly recommend

I recently had the pleasure of bringing my car to Freddy at Cal's auto repair for some repairs and I couldn't be happier with the service I received. From start to finish, Freddy was courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. He took the time to thoroughly explain the repairs that were needed and answered all of my questions. Throughout the process, he kept me updated on the progress of the repairs and even gave me some helpful tips on how to maintain my car to prevent future issues. Hands down best of the best. Only people I trust. They keep it 100%, not scammers like most shops. I respect the quality of work and the quick turn around times! You also can t beat his prices. Workers treat you like family and tell you exactly what needs to be done prior to even touching your car. They honestly know what they re doing, and I trust them with all makes and models of vehicles, and will always be a repeat customer. Please try them out and give your money to people who actually about your vehicle and who treat you like family!Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Battery

They make up bogus issues with your vehicle. Told me that because they didn't install my lower control arm, it would need to be replaced, even though it's new. Scammed me out of a "Checkout fee"

Took my vehicle in for the check engine light they come back with a lot of issues basically $1000 worth of work to be done! So I pick it up and the engine light comes back on in two days, they tell me to bring it back for them to look at it for free just to tell me that they gonna have charge me $400 more dollars for something that they didn t see two days ago and the original problem still exist so I just gave them $1000 what a rip off so disappointing it s hard to find good honest mechanics these daysService: General repairs & maintenance
