I would love to let everyone know about this ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL car service center "The Brake Shop" in which they do more than just brakes! The service technician Moe is absolutely amazing! He is sooooooo knowledgeable of vehicles, I personally brought in my Ford F-350 diesel truck in for several repairs and Moe took care of everything (!!!!!!!!) with ease......because he is super knowledgeable of cars and trucks! Thank you to the Brake Shop and Moe and the other service technician who took wonderful care of my truck! Five STARS!!!!!! They are super super quick and very efficient! You guys will not be disappointed on the high level of service from this friendly knowledgeable service center! Thank you Moe for all of your help!

My car is a 2019 Crosstrek, I arrived because of a sound when braking, the front rotor and brake pads were already damaged, the change was made very quickly, good quality service

I needed front brakes on my 2009 Escape. The Brake Stop on Pontiac Trail had openings so I took my car to them. I am very glad I did! The brakes were replaced in about 3 hours total! So far I am very happy with the repairs. Got an oil change too. The price was reasonable. About $400 for front brakes. Call Mo, and get yours done.

The folks here went above and beyond to service my dad's car that I had taken in. Helpful, friendly, good attention to detail, an overall great experience. Thanks to Jimmy for his compassion and kindness. It's the little things that make a difference in a person's day and this team gets that. I live out of town and was just visiting but recommended that my mom go next time. Can't recommend this place enough!

Brought our terrain in with a check engine light on. Mo was our technician and he did a great job handling our repair. The problem was diagnosed and repaired within 24 hours.

Since moving to this area I have only gotten my car serviced at The Oil Exchange. It is a good, local business that I completely entrust to service and maintenance my car.For oil changes, they have a great deal for around $20 that also includes a free car wash. During this they always ask if I d like a bottle of water, they lube the doors, wash my windshield, and fill up my tires. They offer top offs of certain fluid and air between changes as well.I ve been going regularly, almost weekly, as Is been having issues with my tires to just get my them filled up. They let me know what levels they were at and keep tabs on them for me. The winter and roads have been rough on them. I love the customer service!I have also had filters changed here, tire rotations and other car maintenance. In the past when I had a more in depth issues with tires they sent me down the road to another business and was able to get the issue fixed instantly at a reasonable price.I truly appreciate the service I receive at this location and would not go anywhere else for my cars needs. I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a local small business that also brings a more personal look and care to your car with very reasonable prices!

I ve been going to this oil change place ever since I ve moved back out to walled lake area and normally never have an issue. Today I went in for a conventional oil change and asked for my fluid to be topped off like they advertise they do for free. The only person working was the owner and first off starts with the fact that they must have changed since my last time that he no longer does conventional than when I ask for a top off on my coolant which he said he also couldn t do because the type of coolant they had, never once in my life was I given the excuse this owner told me. He started to tell me that I would have to get it flushed for him to fill it, never once in my life have I been told this by any shop and my mechanic friends have told me it s just money making tactics, than he goes to tell me that my filter that he showed me needed changing, I ve seen worse and know how to do it myself. And the whole time I felt as if he was talking down to me like I knew nothing about my vehicle, Normally I wouldn t say this but felt as if just because I m a woman he was going to try and get as much money out of me as possible and had the nerve to say he wasn t trying to upsell me especially when he said the filter needed changing. Car owner 101 you always keep your fluids full, and I ve also never been told it s because of the coolant they have. After talking with a few mechanic buddies of mine I will be looking for a new oil change place for sure! This is the only oil change place where the guys don t try and talk me into getting a crazy expensive oil change. Lol. They were all so sweet and great at what they do! They even filled my tires and fluids. And gave me a coupon for a free car wash up the street! Genuinely good guys and always make my visit a pleasure. I think his name was jimmy, he was a total sweetheart and you could tell he truly loved what he does! Should have asked for his number but on a serious note, I would highly recommend this location.

These guys are great. I have been coming here for years. They are so honest! Twice they have told me my car wasn t ready for the oil change and explained exactly why! Then sent me on my way until it was time! Couldn t be happier!

Very great customer service. I went in there with no idea what was wrong with my car and was able to get it diagnosed and taken care of all in the same day. Reasonable pricing, great management an overall good experience. I definitely recommend the oil exchange to anybody that needs anything from just an oil change to mechanical work done to their vehicle

Went in for an oil change and never got to leave after waiting 30 minutes. Was told the filter was old on my brand new truck and they broke some part attempting to take it off! Rather than offering a solution for the part they broke, they pushed my car across the lot and I had to get it towed. They have no idea what they re doing here.

Trustworthy place for oil changes and any other car needs or questions you might have. Been coming here for years and wouldn't think about going somewhere else. If you're lucky enough to get Sean Medley I'd trust him with whatever recommendations he makes and I guarantee you'll become a lifelong customer.

I was there about two weeks ago on a weekend. Got my oil changed on my 2013 Malibu. They pulled out my air filter to show it to me,asked if I wanted it replaced. I told them no then was on my way. Today I open my hood to replace my air filter to find they lost a screw to the top of the air filter cover, none of the screws were in the bottom of the filter housing allowing all that debris in, all other screws were cocked to the side. They also never tightened the clamp that secures the hose to the upper filter housing letting all that debris bypass my filter now from two spots, stright into the intakes... I now think this is what is causing my car to start running a little rough. I just got this car, that was my very first oil change. Never will I suggest them to anyone. Thanks for messing my car up, just what I needed.

Great staff I love coming here for all my car needs. Air in my tires, washer fluid always free between oil changes. Sean is always good working on my cars for just about any mechanical problems.

Good luck getting out of here for less than $70. Sent my son to take advantage of the early-bird special ($17.95). Not only would they not honor the coupon because supposedly his vehicle requires synthetic oil, the final charge was over $70. Don't advertise $17.95 if you're going to charge four times as much. Utter b.s.

AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COSTS! I'm only giving it one star because you cannot rate it lower. I recently moved from Walled Lake, but went back to the area for business. The lines were long at other neighboring shops and NOW, I see why this shop lacked business. Paid $59 for an oil change and then Rob, the "lower technician" didn't tighten my oil filter properly. The next morning, as I was leaving for vacation (my boyfriend said there's oil all over in the driveway) and when we dropped my car off to another shop to have my brakes done, thankfully, the mechanic there was nice enough to tighten it for me. I called Shawn, the owner after I returned to inform him of the problem and he refused to refund my money because I didn't go back to him to have it fixed. He offered another oil change (Pffft! AS IF I'd let them touch my car again) He said I should have taken it back to him first. Riiiiight... I'll just drive 70 miles BACK to your shop, incur more damage/leakage so that your incompetent so-called technicians can try and fix it right the SECOND TIME!?!?!? What if we hadn't noticed the oil in the driveway...? Try proving that a month down the line that some idiot didn't tighten your oil filter properly. Maybe someone should inspect this facility.

nice honest oil shop. quick quality service. I just wish the owner would get his technicians the tools they desire. I've got more work that I'd let these guys do, but they dont currently have the equipment.

Went there for an oil change they told me I had to get the high mileage synthetic for $85 would not give me a regular oil change even though I requested it and I just got one a few months ago from the Chrysler dealership save yourself the time and Hassle and go somewhere else. Their excuse was their boss would not let them and they're watching them and can hear what we talked about.

Yeah poor experience at this place blame the rust on my power steering lines is why they broke so easy now I have another one leaking and now another one broke tonight they fixed one but couldn't do nothing with with the other ones said it was on me sad excuse for a business. Go in for an oil change and spend more money that I did not need to right now to fix things that wasn't leaking when I got there. Would not recommend this place for anything!!!!!

Avoid this place at all costs. Has my oil changed as I was leaving for vacation only to find a puddle of oil on my driveway when I got home. Went back and they blamed the guy below for not cleaning out the old oil. Said it was taken care of but once again the leak continued. Now they say it is leaking by no fault of their own and that the transmission needs to be pulled to repair. I took it to a reputable place who told me they were 100% wrong and that they just did a mess of a job and it was residual leak. What a joke this place is

The Oil Exchange team has been taking care of my cars for years. With regular maintenance it had cars with over 175k miles in excellent running condition. They are extremily professional.

Very helpful staff and friendly i took my car for oil change they checked my car out it was so nice they do that for customers and staff not pushy about recommendations they tell you what's wrong and its up to you to fix it.love this place 5 stars plus.you guys Rock.

The workers and service are impeccable. I was very pleased with my visit. I would highly recommend this shop to others. I wasn't able to remember all of their names, but they assisted me and answered every question I had.
