I have taken my car here several times for repairs and have never been disappointed. They have always been fair with pricing and keeping me updated with what needs to be repaired and when the vehicle will be ready. The staff and mechanics are friendly and kind and trust worthy. I would recommend this place. Thanks to all there.

Gave me a decent price to change my clutch and installed one i ordered online with a flywheel, hardly no communication, had my vehicle almost 3 weeks. First time i tried to pick it up it wouldn't move, said they had to bleed the clutch, second time i tried to pick it up i made it half a mile and it broke down. Had it towed back up there. Third time i picked it up i had no second, fourth or reverse brought it back and they claimed i did have second but blamed it on my transmission.Turned out to be a clutch cable they either messed up as well as didn't adjust, (figured this out myself). 3 weeks, 2 tows, me calling constantly to find out much of nothing but gave me a good price on the labor .... forgot to mention the brand new starter i installed prior to them working on my car is now grinding about 6/10 times when i start my car... shifter cable ended up breaking all the way.

Don't go here. I paid them $1300 to fix my truck and they apparently replaced everything BUT the things that needed to be replaced. They misdiagnosed my truck, had it in their shop for TWO WEEKS, charged me $1300 and nothing changed, I talked to them about it, they threw in a free fuel pump module (which didn't help anything). They knew that nothing had changed, and when I asked them what they could do to fix it, they wanted ANOTHER $1300!!

I am very satisfied with the service I got at Dan s Auto Clinic. I contacted them at 11:30 am describing a vehicle that was intermittently starting. I had the vehicle to them by 12:30. They diagnosed and made recommendations on how to proceed without pressuring me. They had my starter replaced by a little past 5 that evening at a very fair price. I intend on trusting them with my future auto repair needs.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto maintenance

They left my disabled grandma without a ride home sit out front as they all left She had a cashier's check for twice what she owed but they wouldn't accept it The check was made from her bank bc they were supposed to fix brakes which they did and a gas tank leak Dans auto says doesn't exist The tank was empty they never bothered to put gas in it but say it doesn't leak! Morons you can't check for a gas leak if there's no gas in the tank to leak By the time you got to it to diagnosed it it had already leaked out They also told her that she was stealing from her bank that's why they wouldn't accept her check She didn't have a problem with her bank changing things though And they advised her to seek legal help

I have traveled nearly 18 miles each way for many years for automotive service at Dan's Auto Clinic. I have never had to return for corrective repairs. I have never felt that I was overcharged, and never received suggestions for unneeded repairs.I was somewhat nervous to learn that the business was recently sold, but now know that the current owner has worked there for many years. The tradition of prompt service, fair prices, smart mechanics, and very friendly staff continues.I highly recommend Dan's Auto Clinic.

Completely disappointed in this place. I stopped in roughly 4 months ago to have my exhaust repaired. The weld had broken free leaving it rattling and hanging. While they had my car they checked and saw my engine light had came on do to the thermostat being stuck open . Ok no big deal, I work 60 hours a week or I would have just repaired it myself. At the time I was happy to have them looking out needless to say the job took an extra day because the thermostat they received was faulty . Ok. Fine, I waited, no issues.I pick up my car. Sounds Great! For about 3 days.On the third day my exhaust sounds like I m landing a plane. The weld had broken (no the frame isn t rusted out). Frustrated. I just fixed it myself. Missed a day of work and went on my way. This incident, I get you can t guarantee a weld on old metal. I didn t call and complain or right a review This review is about their shotty rig work on the new thermostat. During the process the clip to the throttle body heater inlet pipe was broken. Instead of actually repairing it (just tell me it s going to cost more money because the clip broke. They re plastic, it dry rots in high temps. I m not unreasonable). Instead of replacing it, they jammed on an oversized c clamp and some JB weld. Which as a temporary fix that I was not made aware of worked for about 4 months until this morning, I am on the highway, the temperature gets too hot for the JB weld, the pressure drains my coolant, overheats my engine, and causes damage to intake gasket. So a simple $35 fix at the time, is now costing me extensive repair, money, and time taken off work.

Dan s Auto is the TRUTH! This is the only shop that myself and my entire family uses whenever our vehicles need repairs or services. Today I had a tire blow out and need repair and possibly front end work. They are super busy and still managed to talk to me and let me know they will get my vehicle fixed for an affordable price in a timely manor. I am so grateful for Dan s auto and I trust that they do quality and dependable work. Thank you to all the mechanics there because they have probably all worked on my old van at some point! I appreciate how affordable and professional Dan s Auto walled lake is and will continue to recommend and take my vehicle there and only there! God bless Dan s Auto Walled Lake! Hallelujah

These guys are the real deal! Not just replacing parts like a lot of the other shops! they are real mechanics, they take things apart and fix them! Got tired of going to shops and hearing the same song every time, buy a new car! this one has way too many things to fix! It did cost a lot, lot less than what the dealer estimated! I need to go back because there's a small rattle under the car, since they replaced the whole exhaust, I'm guessing it is related to that! I'm sure they are going to do an outstanding job! The car runs so tight now! I don't recognized it. Thanks Brian! Good job! And the super nice lady on front desk she is the best!!!! Coming back for sure! My neighbor was right! these place is really good!Services: Electrical repair, Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Brakes

Initially, my experience with Dan s Auto was fine. They fixed my car in a timely fashion. They were also kind. It wasn t until after getting my car was repaired and finding that it was done wrong, things went left. I had a new rack installed for power steering. However, my steering wheel is a lot looser now. I have to turn the wheel completely to maneuver left and right. Well, the domino effect of it being installed wrong, was wear and tear on my two front tires. Which are now bald. Upon informing the shop on this, I was given thee hardest time. While also being attempted to be manipulated as if I were the one confused on the issue. I was bribed by the owner to shake his hand and promise if they changed out the rack and that wasn t the issue, I d pay to get other things fixed. I told him no way! That s bad business. Why would I spend more money with you guys when you couldn t even fix my car right the first time? Also, why would I do that when you re giving me the hardest time about a poor installment on you guy s end? The parts that were installed were still under warranty and I just want my car simply done right. It isn t fair that I have to go spend money at another shop when I already paid you guys.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Dan's gave me a low/high estimate of $350/$515. Replaced a brake line, and charged $250. Friendly service at a fair price, thanks Danielle.

I have been to 3 auto repair facilities with my leaking air conditioning low pressure line of my 2001 GMC 1500. All 3 repair shops told me that the A/C line needed replacing but could not get the line for me for about 2-3 weeks, if they could get it. I even tried to get the line myself at Murry's Parts. Being difficult to find the A/C line the owner Steven recommended to go to Dan's Auto Clinic and I am super glad I did. Brian the Owner was straight up with me and literally had my truck repair done completely in 3 hours including finding a new A/C line. My Air Conditioning has never blown this cold in years. Totally professional and honest as the day is long. Price for repair was extremely good compared to the other quotes I received. I highly recommend going to Dan's Auto Clinic for your repairs. He has my business for life. Thank you Don and Brian at Dan's Auto Clinic.Service: Air conditioning

Very honest!! Took my car in with the engine light on and radiator not holding water/radiator fluid. Mechanic explained that all I needed was a hose replaced because it was damaged by a rusty clamp. Also recommended a radiator flush because I had put water in the radiator with no coolant to drive it there. The bill was $129. Very happy with their honesty and knowledge, and they're really nice too!

Dans auto clinic i can def reccomend. I knew i needed a wheel bearing upon taking car in learned i needed 2 bearings and 2 wheels due to damage caused. Possibly new brakes if unable to salvage current ones. Was quoted a price and time frame. The next day earlier than expected car was done and ready. Picked it up and bill was considerably less due to ability to salvage parts. Was not expecting this and very happy. A few days later i noticed a rattle in the area worked on called they got me in as soon as i was able ( i had to cancel a few times) but they got me right in at 8 am. I dropped it off no more than 30 minutes later recieve call that it was fixed and ready for pick up no charge. Upon arriving they showed me it was an old dust cap that had fallen off in thw salvaged part that saved me alot of money. Long story short i feel i can wholeheartedly trust these kind folks to give me straight answers and fair prices as i called many places on a wheel bearing and they were the cheapest by a significant amount. Just very happy and the ladies Carly and Denise were great. Thanks Dans Auto,MIKE BService: Tires

Took my car to the dealer and another mechanic to try to diagnose an oil pressure issue I had neither one could find the issue. Dan s found my oil filter housing gasket had failed as you know this is a high-pressure port once they replace the gasket it fixed the oil pressure issue I had. They went above and beyond to check my lower end to make sure everything was good this was the second time I ve taken there would highly recommend themService: Engine repair

My sister's car motor wouldn't turn over. Had it towed to this establishment. Three days later they still couldn't figure it out. Appears that the it wasn't diagnosed, they emptied the gas tank which was half full then the bill said that they put in $20 worth of gas and it does NOT have that amount in there. They didn't check the timing either. She had ro pay $330 for nothing! It still does not run right at all! So why should she have to pay at all because they didn't get it right at all. I do NOT recommend this place at all. Now my son is in their parking lot attemting to find what is wrong. My son finally got it started 3 hours later and now we notice that the car is WAY louder than it was when she brought it in! What the heck did they do??Service: Engine repair

More than once Brian and his team have helped me out in a snap and got it done quick and at a fair rate. Its very refreshing to see honest shops as too many tend to pull in the first chump they see on the street to work on your car. These guys are the real deal and I look forward to continued business with them.

Total thief. Sell parts to customers they strip off cars. Many better choices in Walled Lake area.Such a shame the original owners left. New owner ruining reputation earned long ago.Absolutely not a spam account. You stripped multiple parts off my vehicle. The change of ownership was about three years ago now- why lie about it? Thieves lie. I tried discussing it with you and I was threatened. I now have a lead about who may have received some of the parts. I suggest not continuing to lie about your shady practices or I will take this further. Treat your customers better.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Can't say enough good about this business. If you're looking for an honest company, this is where you should bring your car. They will do everything possible for your vehicle. From being honest about the repairs to staying true to cost. I haven't had an unfair car repair bill in years. When things go wrong due to the vehicle being difficult, they handle it super professionally.

Had an exhaust leak with several codes from my scanner. When my trans was replaced a couple years ago I had what I thought was a bad Torque Converter installed in addition to the axle seal inside the trans repaired elsewhere. I think the exhaust was damaged by the Trans shop in River Rouge and was kicking out garbage to the ECM. Dan's replaced the Catalytic converter and cleaned my intake. This not only fixed the exhaust leak but most probably fixed my shifting problems; I only drove it 4 miles home but it felt like a new car at 204K miles. Can't wait to see what he can do with my 2000 SS Convertible next spring. I'm a do-it-yourselfer but when I can't do it, I will now be going back. This was the second time I've used Dan's and I've been to several in Walled Lake and the quality of the work and the price is the best around.Services: Transmission, Carburetor cleaning, Exhaust, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

I ve had my car repaired here many times. I should have checked my bill more closely this time. I was overcharged for a part about $70. My son noticed it.Gina usually looked around for the cheapest price. She wasn t the one taking care of it this time. She cared and he didn t. I won t take my car there to get repairs done on it again. I m very disappointed.
