Called looking for a battery for my car. Was only offered the 2 most expensive ones first. Asked if they could help me install it as I was stranded out that way and had no tools at all, and a car that was struggling. He told me no because he claimed it would be too hard. It was only 2 extra bolts on top, just say you don't want to do it. Anyways, I took my business to O'Reillys and they put my battery in for me. Took less than 3 minutes.

I do most of my automotive shopping at Auto Zone and this was by far one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I had to do a complete break job on my truck and had already picked up my front breaks and rotors at the Lake Orion location, very good customer service, and need to get the back breaks and rotors. I asked if they price matched and if he could look up my receipt for the previous day and was told they price match and couldn't look up a receipt, even though I am a rewards customer and gave my phone number for warranty. I showed them a price from a chain store locally here in Detroit metro area that the Lake Orion store called and verified pricing. I was told that this place was not a competitor and could not price match. He said the other store wasn't following protocol. This is a much shortened story of what happened at this location. To even make matters worse it was the store manager! I told him to never mind and I will never be back to this location or recommend. I than went to the White lake location which was very pleasant and had no problem price matching the same store without any hesitation! They were even able to look up my previous purchase by the warranty phone number. I guess for someone in a store manager role trying to say what is or is not protocol they should know they are talking about. I would recommend that this store manager retake some of the training courses to keep customers coming back to there store. Sorry for the long review but I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. It is worth the drive to a different location to get respect and treated like a valuable customer.

I walked in to purchase a battery. As I was trying to Google which battery I needed for my car the manager began screaming and yelling at some guy to get to the front of the store. The poor associate got to the front of the store with his head down and the manager began berating him. Telling him "I told you to stay at the front of the store". Had I been working there I would have left. Under no circumstances should anyone have to endure that.. And why? I was the only customer in the building, there were 3 people that I counted. None of which were helping me.. So why the yelling? I went to the Murray's down the street and they helped me find the battery I needed.

Auto Zone in Walled Lake, on a wet October Saturday afternoon. I needed to get a new battery. Mike was terrific finding the one I needed and installed. Took a lot of stress out of the experience for me.

Michael from the Walled Lake Auto Zone wrestled a 7 year old battery out of my 2016 Chevy Equinox. Getting to the battery was no easy task. Can they make a car where you can still do something like change a battery without having to take off five other things? Years of corrosion added to the challenge. I greatly appreciate the time he spent with me on this project. My old battery was dead and I wasn t going to be able to drive out of that parking lot. You have an Auto Zone fan for life. Thanks Michael.

This location in Walled Lake has TERRIBLE customer service. They may have issues with being understaffed, but whatever the case may be, the two times I visited I was left standing around and being completely ignored by the employee (Mike ) as he was taking a personal call on the phone (what he had for lunch that day). I walked out the second visit, never to return. Like the other reviewer said,I too went down the street to Murrays and got help the moment I stepped foot in there. Way better.

Terrible experience. I was having an issue with my car battery, and just needed some help getting it out of my car. The guy working the counter was too lazy to even step outside and help. Went down the street to Murray's, easily got help and they even had the same battery $40 cheaper. I will never shop here again.

Horrific experience. Dude didn't know how to operate the parts software. Couldn't even find what light bulb I needed in his system. System doesn't have parts drawings so no visual aid. I went outside and took out the bulb and brought it to him. He said that they are out of them and that I should look at his available light bulbs display myself and try whatever looks similar. Detroit Motor city with parts stores that run out of Lightbulbs and employees that can't find info in their parts software.

Tell me why I was given the wrong rotors for my car?!?!? I gave them the make, model, and year, so I do not know how this stuff happens! This is the second location to give me a wrong part today! Auto Zone is complete trash, never shopping here ever again.

Been in there a few times recently. Each time we experienced terrible customer service. The clerk behind the counter has never once greeted us in any way, even when we've approach the counter for assistance. I'm not sure but I think he accidentally glued himself to the stool. When we've asked a question, he had no answers and did not offer to help find out. Honestly, they would be better off hiring a couple of sloths to work the counter. We'll be sticking to Murray's...close by and always have had very good costumer service there.

Walked in for a wiper. A guy was on the phone. He didn't look over at me or say I'll be with you in a minute. He hung up and still didn't look at me. I was standing in front of him. No one else in the store. The phone rang, he answered and completely ignored me. I walked out and went to Murray's sown the street. Murray's came up to me immediately and asked if I needed help. Their prices are also cheaper. I will never go back to auto zone. Rude unprofessional clerk.

They got what u need if not can get it quick. My only problem with last transaction they didn't give me a bag for my 4 break cleans and muffler parts. So I balanced them in a stack to the car!

Had a fantastic experience. Ordered a battery while at work and by the time I came home it was ready for pick and install. Nice easy and Michael was a wonderful employee!

Let me start off with I normally do not write bad / poor reviews. While in this store for a check engine light issue and waiting in line to have the scanner read to tell me what was wrong, I was forced to listen to a female employee, who I m guessing is the manager, belittle an older male employee to the point that he walked out . While I do not have all the details of what was going on, what I was witness to was completely unprofessional and uncalled for. If you plan on using the F word and yell at an employee for his lack of knowledge on how to do something, how about go behind the building. The area behind the counter hidden by the parts isles is not private and within earshot of other employees and customers, but maybe you knew that For the owners benefit this was on Friday the 11th about 4:00pm, I hope, should you choose to keep this person in your employment, you send her to some manager / leader training. This short visit to your store was not at all what I expected or acceptable.

I came to pick up parts for a stranded coworker who was broken-down on the side of the road and wouldn't you know it, my truck wouldn't start in the parking lot! An employee tested my batteries (2 because it's a diesel) and they were both bad. Joe, the store manager, discovered that they were covered under warranty and he replaced both at no charge. I was able to replace them quickly in the parking lot and I was on my way.Best Autozone that I've been to.

Service engine light came on. I went to AutoZone to use their free diagnostic tool. Walked in, handed me the tool, tested the car, walked back in and the rep pulled up the report. Very simple. Even printed me a copy. They suggested I get it checked out and that they have the part in stock. Good experience.

If I could give them zero stars I would. I placed an order over the phone for some parts before noon yesterday, I was told by three people that my parts would arrive today no later than three or four. The whole reason of me placing my order there was because it s 10 minutes from where I work and it would be a quick easy pick up. It is now going on 6 o clock the parts still have not arrived and nobody knows where they re at or how to get tracking for them since I didn t place the order they did. Mind you I live over an hour away and my repairs are to be done tomorrow so I either run the risk of sitting here in their parking lot until 9 o clock tonight hoping the parts arrive or driving home to get the phone call mid drive that they arrived and I either have to turn all the way around to drive back to pick them up or waste my Saturday morning to drive an hour out of my way to pick up the materials. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND LACK OF PROPER COMMUNICATION!!!

This is NOT a review of this particular store, this is a review of Auto Zone in general. This is the 2nd time I've ordered parts online and had them delivered to my house and had issues. I went with Auto Zone because their guaranteed delivery times were the 25th (today) and 26th) tomorrow for some pads & rotors for my car. Once the order is placed, part of my order is on time, the rest is delayed. Instead of doing a full brake job before my trip on Saturday, now I'll have to either wait or go somewhere else to purchase the parts that are delayed. This happened to both of my orders over the past few years with Auto Zone. If you are in a hurry, or are expecting a delivery by the time/date it is scheduled for, do not believe their website. If you are not in a time crunch, then no harm/no foul.

This location is SLOW SLOW SLOW. Do not go there, call, look in that general direction if you have any hopes of getting what you need in an efficient manner. I have been in there multiple times for parts and every time it seemed as if someone put the person helping me in slow motion. They easily get side tracked with other things even if you were being helped already. The final nail in the coffin was when I called today twice, both times I was put on hold and told it would be just a second and 5-7 minutes later I ended up hanging up. All I needed was a part ordered to the store for pickup, but seeing as they couldn't stay on the line I will take my business elsewhere. I recommend you do too.

They are ALWAYS out of the oil I need. It's crazy. Either take the label off the shelf if you aren't selling it anymore, or order more stock. There are a couple really nice people there and then there are a few guys that seem to be pissed all the time. Sorry for shopping at your store. Its not my fault you aren't happy at work. I just don't feel confident that they truly care about what I am doing which makes me nervous to buy a part based on their recommendation. The rewards program is so stupid. The fact you need the loyalty card to redeem your rewards is an outdated concept. If there is one person who isn't carrying a pocket full of loyalty cards, its the person who shops at Autozone.

Very helpful team at this store and they gave a good advice and spend time with customer to get them what he want. They advice me to get loaner tool instead of buy it, and that was surprised for me.

Don t like that he gave a one price then I get there it s about $40.00 more. Then wanted to add something to my car that was NOT talked about over the phone to make his job easier. I felt uneasy and left.

On a busy Sunday, the battery on my 2010 Focus decided it had enough and quit on me. I was able to make to the Auto Zone and sure enough the manager herself tested the alternator and battery, confirming that the batter was indeed bad. She changed it herself in about 15 minutes. It was nice to get a hand on something I have had to do many times over. She did a professional job, and got me back on schedule.
