Every company should operate the way this company operated This company is very very responsive. I didn t even catch the guys name because he was too worried about fixing my problem. I would definitely recommend this guy for RV repair and service through text messages and multiple phone calls. We found my problem he asked me for pictures and everything over the phone didn t require me to bring anything to him. He diagnosed and fixed over the phone, definite high recommendation for this guy. I can t believe there is still great people out here doing great business. Thank you very much. Used Great Lakes Mobile RV Service and Repaid to winterize our two RVs and could not be more pleased by Jon's excellent work. He arrived on time and did a great job. He even fixed a shelf in the RV pantry that needed shoring up. I will definitely be using this company again as service needs arise.

Jon was very knowledgeable! He knew how and what to fix as soon as I talked to him. The communication interaction was straight forward and down to earth. When Jon came out he was on time and was great at explaining what was wrong with my furnace. Jon also explained/suggested different options that could take place and benefits in the options for future problems and how to prevent it from occurring. The service that is provided is top tier and would definitely recommend in a heart beat.

John was fantastic in talking me through our power issues - was pretty stressed out to wake to blinking lights and alarm on the fridge, but he was able to help me figure out the steps to diagnose the problem and took a ton anxiety out of getting to a solution. He saved our camping trip. Would recommend them to anyone to get expert advice and a quick answer to your RV trailer woes.Service: Electrical

An experience like the one we had with Jon is few and far between! We needed a part for our refer and he had one on hand, at 930pm on a Sunday, 40 minutes from where we were camping. We left immediately to meet him and he was so kind, informative and willing to let us return the part if it didn t work. We installed the part, didn t solve our problem, but Jon checked in through texts the entire time and was able to help us restore power to our refer, essentially saving our 4th of July vacation! This is a guy who cares about his customers and wants to help in any way he can! We are so grateful to have come across him and he will be our go to guy from here on out (:

I called and then text back and forth with Jon on a fridge problem. He wanted me to check to see if there was a fan behind the fridge. I took pictures and sent them to him, there was one fan and he said I needed more. I asked when we could set up a time for him to come out. That was the last time I heard from him. If to far to travel or just didn t want the job that I was willing to pay for, just say so. Don t just not respond. Thought that was very unprofessional.I got a call from Jon and he apologized for not getting back to me. We set up a time for a service call to my camper. I thought it was great that we worked it out and I will be getting the service I need. Great Lakes RV service came very highly recommended, it was just a communication brake down that was quickly taken care of. Yes I would recommend his service to anyone that need a good rv mobile service.

Jon was absolutely awesome! He rearranged his schedule so that he could get our furnace fixed right away and we didn t freeze! Jon has a small town business about him. He cares about his customers, he makes himself available almost anytime of the day (and has even answered on holidays), is trustworthy and it s not about the dollar. He helped guide us through a problem with our RV while we were on a trip and did not ask for anything. He has never failed to try and save me money. Before he even comes out, he will request I try a few things, and usually they work so I saved time and money, because he s about the people and not the dollar. He helped with refrigeration, water system, CO2, and showed us how to use the necessities because we were RV virgins. I highly recommend Jon.Service: Electrical

Jon did a great job coming out and fixing our leaking pipes near our water heater and behind the shower and fixed our squeaky door. I took my fifth wheel into an RV service garage to get those same issues fixed a month prior and they were not resolved. Jon went out of his way to make sure everything was working and functioning before he left. He was very helpful, informative and answered any questions we asked. I m very grateful for him driving over an hour to come fix our RV issues. It saved us from having to move and take the RV in again. I recommend Jon to anyone who is in need of RV repairs!

Jon came out to our rig to install 2 Easy Start mods on our Air Conditioning/rooftop heater units during a rally here in Indiana. He ran into complications with one unit, but never gave up until he had diagnosed the issue and solved our problems.When he left, we knew we had had the best person working on it for us.We highly recommend him.Service: Air conditioning

Called, left voice mail, then my phone screwed up, and in the meantime, Jon had returned my call. I k ew I needed to replace the card for my furnace. He had one, so we met up halfway between our locations. It was amazing considering I was 1500 miles from home. From the time I called until I had the card installed was just an hour. Great service, fast response, I highly recommend Great Lakes Mobile RV Service

Amazing service. Came to the campsite that day. Jon was such a pleasure to work with. He is very knowledgeable about his work. Within minutes in minutes are problem was fixed. He was willing to listen to any issue we had and try to help. Because of Jon, they will be the only RV mobile repair service we call when in that area camping. Thanks so much Jon. Your the best !!!!

I highly recommend contacting Jon and Great Lakes Mobile RV for any RV issues you might have while in the Elkhart area! I called Jon for service on our fifth wheel when the spring hanger (the part welded to the frame) broke. It was a Saturday morning when I called, and he returned my call within 30 minutes. He arrived to us less than 30 minutes later! The nature of our problem required welding, which is not Jon's specialty, but our relationship did not end there. He worked tirelessly to locate a welder in the area that could perform the repair that same day. He connected us with a welder that afternoon who welded our frame for us - again on a Saturday! Also, he reached out later that evening to ensure everything went well with the repair. We also needed 2 new tires and checked up on us to make sure we got the tires we need. Jon's content of character is absolutely amazing - he went far above and beyond my expectations to get us back on the road as quickly as possible - especially considering that our issue was outside his area of expertise. I cannot express how grateful we are to find someone who truly wants to help a customer. I felt like a person, not just an invoice. I recently purchased a toy hauler with a generator installed within it that I had known nothing about and would not start. I called this gentleman and spoke to him over the phone. He took the time out of his day to help me come up with some troubleshooting steps. His advice ultimately lead to a quick resolve in only about a weeks time. Highly Recommended. We pulled into our vacation spot for the first time this season and our air conditioner wouldn't work. We found Great Lakes Mobile RV repair through Google and called. The repairman, Jon drove 1 1/2 hrs to get to us. He communicated well through text messaging. He was on time, friendly and very efficient. He even asked if we needed anything else repaired while he was here. It was excellent service and we highly recommend them. They are based out of Elkhart Indiana, and cheaper than most Michigan repair shops.Service: Air conditioning

We called Jon, on a Monday holiday, on the off chance that he'd have time before Thursday (our expected departure day) to help us diagnose a leak we had noticed in one of our storage compartments. We are very new to RV-ing and have little experience with RV systems or Vehicle systems in general and were concerned it might be a critical fluid. We purchased our RV from a private citizen so didn't have the customary orientation to the vehicle. We had many questions about our RV and how things worked. We have a lot to learn. We have all the owners manuals but if you're not familiar with the jargon they often don't make sense.Jon, got back with me, as he promised, within a few hours and was happy to make time in his schedule that week to come out and help. He was very professional and worked quickly and efficiently to solve our mystery, diagnose, and correct our problem as well as patiently answer many questions we had about using our RV. Our first trip out was a success because Jon was so helpful. You'll get great value for your $$ with Great Lakes RV Service.. Top notch service. We were at the campground having a problem with our RV battery. Through a series of texts and phone calls, Jon talked me through it and I was able to resolve the problem without him coming out for a service call. He knows his stuff and was able to explain things in a way that I could understand. We were especially impressed that he followed through later to make sure everything was okay. We bought our first motorhome this summer and ran into a few problems along the way. Between Electrical issues and a broken toilet Jon has gone above and beyond to serve us . We also had the pleasure of having him winterize our motor home defiantly recommend his company!

Jon came the night I called and diagnosed my AC problem. Because it was an old unit with multiple failures I opted to put a new unit in. He returned a couple nights later and made the install so I would have relief from the 96 degree heat. I had made many contacts in Elkhart and he was the only one willing to help. Top notch mobile service!Our Air conditioner decided to work some of the time, Jon came out to diagnose our issue and immediately identified our problem, he ordered a new unit as ours was failing. Once parts were ordered he worked with our schedule to come back and install, his time to install was less then originally quoted in the estimate and he adjusted the price to reflect that. Can't say enough about Jon's professionalism, quick work to identify our issue, reliability and integrity. Jon was quick to get back to me, handled the extended warranty claim and did a great job replacing my defective ac unit. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend him. He took care of everything within a 24 hour period which is exceptional in my book!

Jon is a really good guy he found all the parts for my furnace and the prices were very good. This guy is a hard worker and loyal to his customers. He worked over eight hours one day had to return with no return fee charged to complete with an additional part. He is very good at what he does very fair with pricing and labor costs and I will only call him from now on with any issues. Thanks Jon

I hired Jon to replace an air conditioner. He was very friendly, professional, and communicative, and he clearly values quality workmanship. It was apparent that he knows his craft, and his availability is as flexible as yours. It's not common to come across someone who can do quality work on short notice, and I would recommend him to anyone who doesn't want to deal with the hassle of moving an RV to a repair shop.

In the heat of summer our main rooftop RV air conditioner let out a long squeaking sound of the fan, followed by a terrible squealing accompanied by a burning plastic/electrical odor. We immediately shut it off and started looking online for a mobile repair company.John York and Great Lakes Mobile RV Service were highly rated by reviews, and although it would be a drive he was willing to work with us.After hearing our near certainty that it was both the fan and blower motor, Mr. York ordered the parts and scheduled for a week later to come out. He was even early on our scheduled date.After working on it for about half an hour, he had us put it through its paces, and the fan purred to life, followed by the cooled air we had hoped for. He had us shut it down, reassembled everything, and came down to let us know the blower had shaken loose and jammed - our quick action probably saved it from burning out. No need to replace anything! He did insist we call immediately should any further issue develop with it, but felt we were good to run it now as it was well secured.Highest recommendation - straightforward and solid work, done on time when he said he would do it. You may have to wait for his next available appointment, but the quality is worth the wait.Service: Air conditioning

I don't think I've ever had the pleasure of meeting someone that works such long hours and is so dedicated to taking care of and solving his customers' problem as Jon is and so reasonably priced. I would love it if I could find someone like him anytime we have a problem. It might even be worth making the trip up to have him be our service person. Thank you, Jon for restoring our faith that there are still people that take pride in their work and don't give the feeling that they just want to get their hands in customer's pockets. I needed a replacement water heater installed. I already had the water heater. Jon was able to install the heater the night I pulled into town. He even did a great job with the followup visit to wire the electric to it as I didn't have the cord.

Amazing! I called at 5am after everything in our rig died while boondocking and he showed up and diagnosed our bad charger to the inverter causing everything (including generator) to stop working. He got us hooked back up and back on road so we could get to a full service campground and charge batteries. Never expected John to even respond so early but so thankful he did. He is a wealth of knowledge and I HIGHLY recommend him!Service: Electrical
