This place is wonderful. The rooms are comfortable, breakfast is delicious, and the staff is friendly. There are animals on the property and some nice short hiking paths. It's a fantastic getaway for us, living in Chicago. We also meet up here with friends from the Ann Arbor area. The vibe here is chill. I can't recommend Goldberry Woods enough. There's nowhere in the area anything remotely like it!

Goldberry is everything that is advertised and more! Perfect for a couples getaway, elopement, or family reuinion. The concept is so unique and we thoroughly enjoyed staying in the Driftwood room at the Inn. The overall ambience is cozy and you feel like you're home away from home! The entire Inn was clean, neat and tidy but showcased its own personality and flare. The breakfast we had was fresh and delicious, and the staff took wonderful care of us. 10/10, can't wait to come back!

We love this place. My husband and I have come twice now. They managed to include all the little details that make this place fantastic. There's plenty to do in house with games, books, and movies. Lots of great common space to meet new friends. No other place has trails, year round hot tub and pool, pool table, ping pong...they have thought of everything! And the breakfast is fantastic! We highly recommend and already booked our next weekend trip with the kids.

we had a wonderful time here! the owners are so friendly and personable, we loved talking to them and getting recommendations for food/activities in the area the breakfast youre served each morning is by far the best breakfast ive ever had, and they are sure to accommodate any dietary restrictions (i m vegetarian and my meal was still AMAZING). the grounds are just breathtaking, our only regret is that our stay is just 3 days! we are definitely looking forward to returning! this place truly feels like a home away from home.

Goldberry Woods did not disappoint. We were returning guests and it was fun to see what they have done to the resort since our last stay! New since our last stay: barn/family play area, chicken coop, in-ground pool and hot tub, nicely groomed walking trails, and more! The property is kid friendly and the chickens and ducks were curious to check out our toddler thru the fence! We look forward to our next stay!

We cannot recommend this Bed and Breakfast enough. First of all, the breakfast was out of this world good! We had the best pumpkin pancakes I ve ever had. The service was superb! Eric and Julie were at the ready with anything we needed from s mores kits to recommendations for things to do. We loved the free canoes available for rent and just walking around the grounds. You truly never have to leave the property. The heated pool and hot tub were also perfect for relaxing at the end of the day. We can t recommend this place enough for a relaxing weekend away.Rooms: We loved the bathtub with the window that allowed you to watch tv at the same time! How fun!

Goldberry Woods has added yoga classes to their list of services they offer. What a wonderful addition. Three times a week , the classes are held at the Barn and what a beautiful and bright place to practice yoga. Zen like even though the room is on the larger temperature was perfect - I would prefer even hotter- but recognize that is not everyone s preference.I practiced today for the first time with Ferris during the Vinyasa Wednesday class and it was just perfect. A great balance of flow and heat and poses. Cannot wait to go back. Ferris has a wonderful teaching style and provides physical adjustments, if you are so inclined, which I always am. So happy to have this in our neighborhood.

My family of eight including two children aged 11 and 5 stayed at the Rivers Edge Cottage over the Thanksgiving weekend. We enjoyed the house very much. The two king bed rooms had their own washrooms and two additional washrooms accommodated the remaining guests very well which we loved. The children slept in the room with built in bunk beds. The room was a great children s room with a foosball table and enough space for play, we brought a projector with a very large screen for video games. The kitchen was very nice and adjacent to the family room with large tv- a really nice setup. Our kids loved the indoor pool and attached barn. The river trail was a very nice moderate to easy hike. We drove to St. Joseph for small business shopping and visited Barney s in New Buffalo, a five minute ride, to stock the fridge. The staff was very responsive. We loved spending our time here and will to it again soon!

My husband and I spent two and a half very enjoyable days at Goldberry Woods. The forest and river setting is beautiful this time of year and very relaxing. Our room with its stone fireplace, comfy bed and spacious bathroom was cozy. Innkeepers Julie and Eric and their staff were very accommodating to the slightest need, like replacing an incandescent light bulb in the bedside lamp with a brighter LED bulb. The breakfasts were thoughtfully and artistically prepared and delicious, with many ingredients from their organic farm. We loved looking at the chickens and the gardens and I especially enjoyed time in the pool on a rainy afternoon. Lake Michigan, restaurants, wineries and breweries were all nearby. Who could ask for anything more? Just three hours from Detroit; we plan to return.

This was a great experience! The morning breakfasts are delicious but were a bit repetitive while we were there. The camper we stayed at was fully equipped with everything we needed for a stay! Super comfy and chic. The grounds are kept nice and clean. The farm is gorgeous and I highly suggest checking it out if you stay!I couldn t give it a 5/5 unfortunately as we weren t always able to get a hold of someone when we needed something due to them being understaffed at the moment as pointed out to us by the inn-keeper.Not much to do outside of the grounds themselves as it s a pretty rural area however tons of breweries if that s your thing! We would definitely return, location is LGBT friendly it seems and doing outdoorsy stuff is always a fear with running into businesses or people who aren t!Thanks Goldberry Woods we had a great and relaxing time!!

We love to be inspired by unique experiences so when I stumbled upon this place, I knew we had to give it a try. We are hospitality and restaurant folk so we appreciate the work it takes to create something fabulous and sustaining. It did not disappoint! The property is surrounded by ravine and river so it s nice and private despite being close to other homes. There is the main INN where we stayed. We stayed in Silver Maple. Fireplace, 2 person jacuzzi tub, TV and comfy bed with the best pillows and sheets! Cool natural wood bed frames and rustic charm. There is also the Inkeepers House plus another cottage you can rent and 2 renovated campers with bathrooms and kitchenette. The barn, gardens, pool/hot tub all a major plus. You can use the pop year-round because it s in a greenhouse! Chickens, veggies, bees and trees. I would love to visit thought out the year to see how it changes. They are so close to Lake Michigan and have hiking trails in the property plus kayaking on the river! The host was lovely and made a wonderful breakfast. We were the only ones there (it was a Wednesday, day after Halloween) but I loved having the INN to ourselves. We completed a puzzle in the sunroom and made ourselves at home! Will be back! Stop scrolling, book now!

The location is gorgeous, the farm us magnificent and the rooms are so romantic. We'd never been to Union Pier, and even though it's not that far from home it felt worlds away. Thank you so much for a magnificent getaway!Food & drinks: We went to Union Station for dinner and found the service and the food to be top notch as well and an incredible value.

We had a fabulous experience at Goldberry Woods! We stayed for 2 nights while visiting family and attending a game at University of Notre Dame, and were delighted by the warm, welcoming atmosphere, the delicious food and beautiful grounds. Julie is a born hostess with the mostest and she and her staff made our stay so pleasant. We enjoyed walking through the crops and meeting the furry-footed chickens. The neighboring towns of Union Pier ans New Buffalo are adorable too, and the lake is super close. The room was clean and lovely with gorgeous bedding and plenty of space. Highly recommend!Rooms: Cozy, spotless and well appointed.

This is one of the best farm experiences we've ever had! Being a city gal with a family that rarely dives into nature, we felt the need to try something new and we are so happy we did!Finding the Goldberry farm was super easy using google maps. When we arrived, the grounds were nicely kept. The entry was beautiful leading up into the Check-in for the B&B. We received a pleasant tour of the grounds and was escorted to our cottage. The cottage was spacious and comfortable. 3 bedrooms with soft beds and luxury linens. The kitchen was spacious with a full size refrigerator, gas stove, large dining table. The back patio with screened in porch with an amazing breeze! In the morning, we headed to the B&B for a made to order breakfast and snacks, coffee and juice. Our son had fun walking the trail, playground, jacuzzi and pool.I just LOVED IT ALL! Highly recommend.

Another amazing stay at Goldberry Woods Farm. I booked a girls weekend for my daughter s 15th birthday. The girls had an amazing time and food during their stay. The covered and heated pool was a hit for their winter stay. Surprised how many shops and restaurants were open in Feb. Goldberry is now a staple for our family vacations and long weekends.Nearby activities: Pool, trails, bikes, and kayaks on property. Very close to Lake MI and all that New Buffalo has to offer.

Eric and Julie are committed hosts. They are making this into a nice, comfortable spot. As they continue to upgrade it, it has a lot of promise. They were prompt in addressing a power outage from wind and their employees could have kept an adapter one of our participants left but instead they contacted me so I could get it. There is so much to do in the area: beaches galore, nature hikes, biking, shopping, and good restaurants.

My husband and I stayed here for three nights as part of our honeymoon, and it was incredible!! Julie and Eric take such care in everything here, and they both made sure we had everything we could need! The breakfasts prepared each morning by Carly were to die for, and overall the experience was perfect! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a cute getaway on an adorable working farm!Rooms: Multiple spacious rooms in the Inn itself, as well as multiple cottages and a few super cute vintage campers on site! Our room was super clean and well kept, as well as well prepared!Food & drinks: Incredible breakfasts prepared each morning by one of the innkeepers, with produce fresh from their garden!

My partner and I had the absolute best time at Goldberry Woods. Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the vintage Flora trailer for two nights. The trailer was just as beautiful as it was advertised. Super comfy bed, all the kitchen supplies you would need, and the privacy that we were looking for. We loved the fire pit and listening to the train and birds. We really loved the heated pool and, honestly, loved that it wasn t over run by kids. Don t get me wrong, I m a teacher and kids are fine but it was so nice to relax and have the pool to ourselves as a couple without kids. We also enjoyed an incredible charcuterie board and bottle of local wine when we arrived and a delicious farm to table breakfast before we left. The trailer, grounds, and food were enough to warrant 5 stars but the hospitality of the staff and Eric and Julie pushes it over the top. They were accessible and quick to answer any questions. The only negative part is that we had to leave. Hopefully we ll be back soon!

We loved this place! We made an impromptu trip to the area-a short drive from Riverside Illinois. We didn't make reservations, but we saw it online and popped by to check it out. Eric, the owner came out to greet us and answer all our questions. We were out up in a beautiful room with a balcony. He was so nice, as is his wife Julie. The place has amenity after amenity. The food is delicious. The beds are super comfortable. Even the other guests were a delight. WE WILL BE BACK!

We stayed in the Flora camper for a couple nights after our wedding and it was perfect all the way around. The camper itself is deceptively spacious and very well appointed. Make sure to take advantage of all the property has to offer - kayaks, trails, a heated pool, hot tub, billiards, fire pits, the list goes on. Really a screaming bargain when you consider everything you get. It's also really close to a lot of charming SW Muchigan towns. Breakfast was delicious, and Julie, Eric, Sydney and the rest of the team were fantastic hosts. We'll be back!

We had a wonderful night here, me and my two young sons. It's such a beautiful setting, and every detail has been thought of. We loved the kayaking, the outdoor pool (with poly tunnel cover for the colder seasons), hot tub, and exploring the grounds. The breakfast was wholesome, fresh and tasty! We will definitely be back again, hopefully with friends in tow. Welcoming staff, who have thought of everything. Thank you Rooms: Elegant and comfortable, we loved the jacuzzi bath and watched a film from the amazing dvd library!Food & drinks: Home made, fresh and wholesome. Plus they had British teabags which is a major plus!

We have been coming to Union Pier for 30 years. We have rented homes, visited our friends in their homes and stayed in most inns and hotels in the area. For some reason, we overlooked Goldberry Farms until the end of last summer and made a point to stay here this June. What a gem! Farm to table breakfasts are delicious. The beds and sheets are super comfortable. Everything is well thought through. Lots of things to discover, like the Rec container with pickle ball rackets and balls for my 18 year old of all types plus cornhole. The pool and hot tub were a nice plus. Very good location close to the lake. Very kind and accommodating owners. We will be back!

We loved our stay at Goldberry Woods. We only stayed for 1 night but were still able to take advantage of all the activities and amenities. We stayed in the Flora air stream that sits on the back of the property. We brought prepped food for dinner and used the grill to cook it. The airstream had everything we needed and was the perfect size for 2 people. We rode bikes, made a fire & s mores, kayaked the river, hiked the trails, watched the sunset at the beach, and after checking out we spent the day at the beach down the road. This was our first stay at a B&B. We really liked that we were able to help ourselves to everything and explore freely. The complimentary treats and breakfast were delicious. The staff was so nice and accommodating.I only have good things to say about our time here. I will definitely be back!

The room was spectacular with a really neat canopy-like bed made from tree branches, a fire place, soaker tub, and balcony. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast, taking walks through the gardens and woods, and swimming each night. It was close to many restaurants, New Buffalo beach, and antique shops. We even were able to book massages at a nearby spa. It was a fantastic anniversary trip.
