We love this place. Our family is going back next year for the third time. It is a vintage property so if you like fancy this is not that place. We love the close proximity to the beach for us and the little kids. Plus spending so much time together but in individual cabins.Food & drinks: Great coffee shop a couple blocks away!

Absolutely love this cozy place. The management, cleaners and maintenance personnel are excellent. Don't forget to ask about the beach rental equipment they have available to make you gay at the beach even better.Nearby activities: BeachesWalkability: The Roadhouse down the road for dinner.Food & drinks: Red Arrow Roadhouse

This was our first visit. We vacation with our children and grandchildren each summer. The Fire Fly was nice because we were close, and each had our own little cottage. The grounds are beautuful and well maintained. The cottages remind me of Key West. The area is is upscale and there is easy beach access. We are planning on coming again next year. We also were able to bring our dogs.

Overall it was a great place to stay. We did have exceptionally small bathrooms and the beds were tiny. All cabins but ours had fans which made it stuffy if you shut the doors to sleep. The short walk to the beach was incredible. This was a great place for a family vacation. We had a great time!

Our experience was disappointing. We stayed three days and never saw any management personnel. The units were nice. Each one is individually owned, so supplies and furnishings will vary. Ours was basicbut comfortable. No. 8 and 9.The website is not completely open about the fees so you should get a complete breakdown of charges before you agree to the rate.A cleaning fee is stated clearly if you have a pet room, but the facility will attempt an additional cleaning fee that is not clearly stated on the website. Our recommendation to the owners is to update your website, and ask your management to be more responsive.

This resort is absolutely adorable. The rooms were spotless , we were even allowed to bring our fur babies. Your within walking distance to public and private beaches . The cleaning staff is staying on top of covid regulations, and the office staff is making contactless check in a breeze . Definitely recommended to our family and friends!!! Will be going back soon !!!!

This place has a great vibe and is close to the beach. The grounds are beautiful and it's located in a very homey neighborhood. The two units we tried were small but cozy. My only complaint is that the beds weren't very comfortable.

I stayed at the "resort" this past weekend occupying two separate cabins during our stay. It was very clear that housekeeping had not cleaned, swept, or mopped the entire cabin. The dishes appeared to have been wiped cleaned, there was caked on filth on the hardwood, and even crumbs and raisins all over the mattress on the pull out couch. There was also an ant infestation that became apparent in the morning when most of our groceries were ruined and swarmed by ants.In the second cabin it was just as bad. The worst part of all was when we pulled down the comforter in cabin 1 and there were some sort of brownish red stains all over. When I contacted the office manager and provided pictures of the stains, she replied with "If you want new sheets then come get some from the office."I definitely was not expecting the cleanliness and care that one should expect at a Hilton, but I surely was not expecting cringe-worthy filth. The 3 other families we booked with had similar experiences and we will definitely NOT be back.

This was our first time staying at Fire Fly Resort and we had such a good time that we decided to reserve it again next month for a weekend. It was so charming and we were able to take our dog with us too. The beach was absolutely beautiful. We plan to make this our family getaway place from now on.

The property was great! We enjoyed our time there and plan to return again with family and friends.Nearby activities: New Buffalo had shops to explore in their small town and lots of breweries and wineries that were close by.Walkability: You have access to the public and private beaches. It was easily accessible but would be difficult for someone in a wheelchair. The coffee shop/mini convenient store was great. And the restaurant next door was great because it was close by.

The property is beautifully maintained making it a destination for all seasons. Our visit in September provided us with unusually warm weather. We took advantage of the close proximity to the beach. The staff is friendly and helpful. We cannot wait for our next visit.

Small, cozy and clean resort. Just a few steps from beach access. Comfortable living area with separate bedroom. Only negative was an extremely small bathroom with tight toilet to facing wall.

Little attached cottages individually owned, close to the excellent beach. Standards vary because each unit is opened by separate owners. Generally tiny, tiny bathroom, adequate beds, small living area and kitchen. Kitchen appointments vary. Generally clean.

We had our family reunion here last year (Rented 10+ units), and had nothing short of an excellent experience. Everyone enjoyed their unit and was pleased with the convenience of the resort. This year will be returning again to celebrate our 34th family reunion!

Quaint, friendly place. We fit 6 of us in the two bedrooms and living room. It was a bit tight for that many. Clean, air conditioned. Just don't take my teenager. Good WiFi and cell reception.

This place is a ripoff ... and ethically dubious. Don't stay here!We booked a room for one night online at a quoted price of $190. When we got there, the suite was far smaller and in much worse repair than the online photos suggested. It looked as if it had been hastily built in the 50s or 60s and minimally maintained since. The room advertised cable and a dvd player. Neither worked; the message on the television suggested the cable bill hadn't been payed. The WiFi was down. The sofa bed's springs were so badly stretched that you could feel the metal bars underneath. We booked our reservation online using a credit card. Only after we arrived did they inform us that we had to pay by check (Who carries a checkbook anymore?) or pay a 4% credit card fee. To add insult to injury, after requiring that we take out the garbage, sweep the floors, and generally clean the room ourselves, they charged us a $60 cleaning fee (also not mentioned when we booked our reservation).Total cost for 1-night stay: $261.

Well, the beach is great, the cottage is clean and close to the water. After a fun day at the beach we decided to make some nachos in the full kitchen and watch the copy of Star Wars we saw sitting on the shelf. As it turns out, Star Wars is VHS and all we have in the cottage is 2 DVD players. The other movies on the shelf are B movies from the 80's, none of which I've heard of. We popped one in that looked interesting and it's a bootleg with crazy warnings in the middle of the picture against "copying or selling this copy" (which is actually pretty funny at this point). I would flip over to Netflix (nice newer TV) but the WiFi signal is unusable on any of our devices. Half of the handles on the dresser have fallen off, but I didn't put much in there anyway. Day time here is great ... night time is lacking.

Really liked our stay at FF - it's a little high $ for me, the creative use of space leaves very little room (tiny bathroom), and the wifi really stunk. For something as simple and cheap to set up as a needed service (especially for those travelers outside their cell coverage) - at those prices Wifi coverage should have been excellent - FF - if ya can't set it up youraelf ask your ISP to set you up with better coverage for your cabins.

Location is great! Prices are fair. Comfy master bed but if would be nicer if they'd take the plastic off the hideaway bed in room 2.

The rooms are compact and pushed very close to each other yet the location is prime with a private beach 500 ft down the road

Fabulous Lake Michigan resort in Harbor Country. Family oriented. Beach across the street. So much to do. Summer paradise.
