Apparently you have to show up at least an hour before closing because they ll shut off the compressor .I called ahead of time to make sure it was okay to come in 15 minutes before closing. Yes, we close at 7. I ll send a coupon to this number I show up, get weird stares out the window, and then someone walks up to ask me if I m getting an oil change as if they sell drinks in the back.The guy finds out I already talked to support about coming and smacks his lips.He opens the garage, I go in and another team member treats me with an attitude.They scanned my coupon, pop my hood, have me turn my car off just to tell me I can t get my oil changed.At least someone offered another discount for me to come in the morning.No thanks. I wouldn t be here if I didn t want an instant oil change .Don t recommend.

Are you guys serious about the business.God swear i will never comeback again.1st time i went they changed my oil but forgot to screw the bottom part which instantly fall down and damaged my car while driving .2nd time i went yesterday to do another oil change, even though i prepaid the oil price still they argued and changed again full money. Very rude guys and the customer service is horrible there. I was keep in the waiting for around 3 hour to talk to some who can solve it. It not worth the pain, just avoid them if possible.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Horrible customer service. I pulled up and immediately received an attitude from the assistant manager before I even got a chance to speak about why I was there. My car has been smoking for 4 days since getting an oil change at valvoline. Do not come here!!!

Replaced oil, was fine. Then went to replace my own oil months later. Someone tightened the oil bolt so tight, and I m losing my mind right now. No reason to Kong tighten these bolts, what the heck man.

If I could give zero stars I would. I came to this place for an oil change mid September 2023 and spent 5 minutes there because the mechanic said your oil is good didn t even change the oil at all!!!!! Now today my car is in the shop because my engine was knocking and severely LOW on OIL. I need a whole new engine, thanks to the mechanics at this place. WILL NEVER be going back again.

I ve been taking my vehicles to Valvoline for years. The service at most locations is always great. However the fellas here at the Troy location are a bit above exceptional. Reluctantly I arrived literally 4 minutes before closing time. Usually I don t even bother doing that, however I work very for from home currently, and not close to any Valvoline location. My truck was a few miles last due for a change. These guys were more than happy to take care of me, and didn t rush the job whatsoever. I could tell the entire crew has a great work ethic and enjoy working together. It s refreshing to see that these days. Get these boys a a raise and a case of their favorite beer!

on 8/7/2023 i had my oil changed at this location in Troy. The people were all friendly and courteous but the devil is in the details. I left there initially happy, that lasted a few miles. Driving my car home and later that evening I could not figure out why my car suddenly sounded so much louder every time I now accelerated or drove at a higher rate of speed. 2 days later ( and lots of stress) after speaking with mechanics and using lots of google research we found the problem. When showing me my "dirty air filter they could replace for $25" they only half put the filter assembly back together, nothing latched, nothing put back together as it was supposed to be. The car was pulling in engine air and running terrible because no one took the time to do their job correctly and make sure things were put back together as the automaker intended. Like I said, the devil is in the details. If you cant do the very simple stuff, people lose trust with the larger part. I wont be returning to this location or to Valvoline again. Very disappointed.Service: Oil change

Just had an Oil Change today. Disappointed with their Service! Had to wait long, I know they are busy, But after service done, they just closed my hood, "all done", not showing me the air filter, not showing me the new oil gauge, or transmission gauge, i had to ask to check and fill air in my tires checked, did not get an sticker reminder. You Just lost a valued customer ;(

I would give 0 stars if I could. They messed up my initial oil change. Which caused a massive leak from my engine compartment all the way to the back of my vehicle causing my car to smoke, to which I brought back to them to inspect. They were quick to replace my filter and add oil back to my vehicle (it was 2 & 1/2 quarts low) told me I had a massive oil leak and that it was mixing and said I needed to go to my mechanic right away. Mechanic had it for 2 days and could not find any leak whatsoever. My mechanic said it had to of been due to the fact that they didn't install the 1st filter correctly. Called the manager Riley who would not take fault and wanted to argue with me. Asked to speak to his supervisor to which he refused to give me any info or offer to have his manager call me. So I had to call the customer service number twice to even get a complaint filed. So a 15 min oil change has cost me over $200 and could of possibly caused damage to the engine. I have to take my vehicle back to be inspected after 300 miles. Had to call off from work for 2 days so my mechanic could inspect and clean my under carriage. DO NOT TAKE HOUR VEHICLE HERE!! Absolutely horrible!! Why they can't just own up to their mistake is beyond me!!!

They suck out the oil into a glass container, so you can just how bad the old oil was. (Cool to see!)This method may be only marginal at removal of sludge since it draws out only through the dipstick s tube location.If you have a magnetic oil-drain-plug bolt, this method also won t remove any of those metallic particles.

HIGHLY recommend Valvoline Instant Oil Change at Troy location on Rochester Road. The guys that serviced my car were extremely professional, nice and friendly. I was greeted and welcomed upon arrival, the wait was short, and was given oil options to choose from that would best fit the needs of my engine. Prices were reasonable and was given a coupon without even having to ask. Best of all, the guys didn t sit and attempt to upsell me things I didn t need like most other service stations. I highly recommend Valvoline to anyone looking for an oil change, and can honestly say I will continue to use Valvoline going forward for any service needed on my car!P.S turns out my father who knows almost anything about cars also uses Valvoline by his house, and praised them as well.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Oil change

Called at 6:15pm asking if I could still come in for an oil change since they were closing in 45 minutes. I spoke with someone called Michelle and she was very helpful and nice, even texted me a coupon for a discount. She told me to come in and 10 minutes later I was there. When I arrived, a young man told me they were cleaning and couldn t do the oil change. I told him I spoke with Michelle, he replied saying that there was no Michelle there. I had him confirm that the number I called was theirs and he did. I also showed him the discount coupon. He went inside to maybe talk to a manager and came out denying the service. I felt like they wasted my time and were careless. So I called Uncle Ed s, less than 2 miles away, at 6:30pm. They didn t hesitate and told me to come in. Got the best service and a $25 discount there. I won t be considering, or recommending, Valvoline again.Service: Oil change

Tried to force me into using some special synthetic blend of oil. When I declined and asked for conventional oil they indicated that they would report this on my vehicles Carfax history report. I promptly left and had my oil changed elswhere without issue. Some shady business practices that's for sure. Would not recommend them.

No one answered the phone number listed there. I drove up. Line was 3 cars deep for both lanes. Nice gentleman in the shop quoted me over $100 for full synthetic. I exited store and went elsewhere. Prices are $30-40 over competitors prices

Fantastic customer service! Super friendly, very knowledgeable, very fast and they don't push extra services; they ask and give a printout of their recommendations without trying to force it. They were kind and gave us a $20 off coupon on our oil change. Best quick oil change in the area. Highly recommend.

If there were an option to give 0 stars, I would. I went to this location for an oil change this past Friday, and they stripped my oil pan drain plug. The manager called me today to give me excuses and tell me that it s common for drain plugs to break on my vehicle.This location doesn t care anything about its customers and is only in it for the money. .refused to do an oil change on a 2001 car because I have a leak and i knew this and I told them upfront I have a leak .said it was company policy, though I kinda doubt that .good luck staying in business as a oil change company with employees like that

If you have time to waste, this place is for you. A lot of people pretend to work but are not doing much. If your oil is really changed, you are lucky.

They did an awesome job, the tech underneath after emptying my oil later notified me that he saw a small leak coming from my differential. Turns out, per my mechanic that I needed a new Differential pinion seal, Could ve been a huge problem down the road! Thanks to the Valvoline tech there and their 18 point inspection, potential future problem avoided, thanks so much and I ll definitely be back for my oil changes!Service: Oil change

It's a little more expensive than other quick lubes(a LOT more expensive than magical touch the previous owners) but the customer service is some of the best I've ever experienced! I was in yesterday and while I was initially shocked and upset about the price they were quick to explain the price difference as well as WHY my vehicle required a synthetic oil(something i was completely unaware of) and even offered a discount on my bill- as a surprise at the end! The manager who was there was incredibly helpful throughout the entire service and made herself available for any questions I had. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes and I'll definitely be back.

Staff here are obviously untrained. They couldn't figure out how to drain the oil and had to find help.Drained the oil before clearly communicating price and then upcharged for selecting basic oil.Lied on the receipt about items they checked.Go anywhere else to get your oil changed.Service: Oil change

So FAST and great customer service. All employees were professional and began working quickly. I sat in the lobby briefly while they vacuumed out my car free of charge. The oil change service was so fast and half what I paid at a competitor. The employees were upbeat and smiling and I never felt pressure to purchase anything extra. I pulled away with in a clean, fresh smelling car. Best oil change service and I ll never go anywhere else.

First time getting my oil changed here. The staff was super friendly. They were honest regarding the services offered and pricing. They had me in and out in less then 15 minutes. And they even vacuumed the front part of my truck. I will definitely be back again for my next oil change!! Keep up the good work guys!

Great group of hard working guys. I was very impressed with their positive attitude and the teamwork amongst them all. Fairly priced services, cleaned and wet vacuumed the interior flooring of my Jeep and were very honest in their approach to show me the condition of my oil and air filter. The literally refused a tip from me (4 separate guys) and asked me to take time to write a great review if I felt inclined.... certainly will be back again!

Went there for an oil change recently. I usually use valvoline in whatever area I'm in because they are generally pretty good and get things done quickly.However, this most recent time I went was a bit different.I'm used to getting low tire pressure after getting their service. This has happened in multiple occasions after having zero tire pressure issues prior to the service, and with different tires.This time one of my tires was completely and utterly flat less than two hours after I got the service. To me it's clear the valve stem got caught and they failed to realize. Thankfully I was home and was only going to get food anyways, so I waited the 3 to 4 hours for roadside to put my donut on at my apartment.I took my car back the next morning and explained the situation, and that it was pretty clearly their fault. The manager was pretty standoffish about it saying "we don't take air out of your tires." But he did fill my tire and put it back on without too much pushback, hence two stars instead of one.Normally their service is fine, but they need to tighten it up because that was a headache and a half because of their screw up.

I don t normally leave reviews, but I just HAD to with my first time at Magical Touch. Customer service was outstanding and they had me on the road within 8 minutes. Kudos to Al for his friendly and positive attitude. Oil change was a lot cheaper than most places, facility was clean, offered great refreshments, and they even vacuumed my car and left an air freshener/coupon as a pleasant surprise. Great business, honest guys

I just wanted an oil change and they made me listen to the long list of expensive other services that they suggested that I should consider. I told them I didn't want to hear about them but they said that was part of the service they provide and they have to go over them with me. I bought a cabin filter as they showed me how dirty the existing one was. That was legitimate. I bought the fully synthetic oil that was recommended by GM which is good for 7500 miles but the window sticker they printed out showed I should come back in 3000 miles. I don't appreciate them trying to trick me into getting my oil changed again far sooner than what is needed. I stopped going to Uncle Ed's oil change since they always gave a sales pitch to buy services I wasn't interested in. I will not come back here.Service: Air & cabin filter replacement
