Called today asking about Freon refill price. I confirmed my car twice and I was told the price was $120. Went in and once again confirmed everything and the lady said it would be $120. About 45 minutes later, someone came out and I thought the were going to say the car is done but instead, they said the refill was going to be $364. Wasted all this time and I ended up walking away.Upon reading the owner's response, I just want to note that it was communicated SEVERAL times what the year and model of my car was and the agent kept telling me that it would be that price. I called so that my time would not be wasted but that is exactly what happened.

Used their towing service through AAA, the tow driver misdelivered the vehicle to a different address, after some calles the tow driver dropped the vehicle off at the gas pump (took an hour which should have took 15 mins). We asked if he could drop it off NEAR the garage and not IN the garage, told us "no, we are bad people" and drove off. He seemed like he was in a hurry and upset for not doing the job right the first time. Thank you, for letting us push the vehicle to the garage. Dispatch helped us and in additon great customer service, tow truck driver (i was informed was a trainee) definitely needs a snickers bar. Update: customer service/ dispatcher followed up with me and she smoothed things over. Used their towing service in the past with no issues, one time incident.

It is difficult to find an honest and great car repair facility these days but I have!!!With three cars, driven by two who do not understand the term oil change or maintenance, this place is a life saver!Great work, done timely for a fair price.Strongly recommend Troy Auto.No I have no connections with them, just posting to support a well run business.Service: Brakes

Troy auto care always tows my vehicles for AAA. I've never had a bad experience in 15 years. Always really cool and intelligent drivers, too.

When I called AAA for help with my immobilized, 1972 Mini, Josh came out to tow it to my repair shop. He was earlier than expected, cheerful, friendly, and very professional.

Jeremy at Troy Auto Care (Austin location) was excellent to work with - very clear communicator, accommodating, and did a great job. Was fair on pricing as well for some significant work (timing belt, brakes). Definitely would refer, no doubt.

These men are literal angels on earth. My car started making a horrible noise on a Friday afternoon. I immediately took it to the Volkswagen dealership and although they had the parts in stock, they told me they couldn t do the work until Monday. I found out about Troy Auto Care through a family friend, called them, and was assured they could do the work if I could bring the parts. I got there at 4:30 on a Friday afternoon and left with a fixed car at 5:45. The service was fantastic, the waiting room was clean and had nicely organized games and coloring books for my two kids, and the people could not have been nicer. I feel a lucky I found them and they took such good care of me!

I was driving in from out of town when I noticed a burning rubber smell coming from my car. It was the only auto shop willing to fit me in the next morning. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The mechanic gave it a full inspection. He didn t find anything broken and said I could have kicked something up on the exhaust due to the construction. I drove 3 hours home the next day with peace of mind that my car was running safe.

So my car got messed up in the rain last night and I had to get it towed. I had the pleasure of being picked up by Griffin. He has got to be one of the nicest tow truck guys u have ever experienced. He was early!!!! Like 30 mins earlier than he said he would be. Then he was nothing but gracious and light hearted. Great convo. Was not creepy at all. Always smiling. He explained what was going on with my car to the men at auto shop because the way i was explaining it was not the best. He's a manager so he had to take a few calls/talk to some of his employees and even the way he spoke to them was encouraging and helpful. I really hope he has a beautiful life. Thank you. We have used this place twice as it was close to our home and both times, they have been very accommodating, helpful and able to meet our needs! Its hidden in the back but aside from that, great place and great people. We had some issues that needed to tend to right away with a newborn and only 1 running car and they were able to help us out every time we call, A+ service!

Used Troy Auto Care towing services and it was FANTASTIC and literally saved us in a pinch. Fast and the driver "T" had us up and running is just a few minutes.

I had 4 new tires installed on my Cadillac at this location. They scuffed, and scratched 3 of my Brand new stock chrome rims while installing the tires.The installer acknowledged the mistake and said if i drop off the car for a day, they will send out my wheels to a wheel shop to get them repaired. So here i'm expecting to see the rims back to how they were before.I took a day off at work to drop off the car. When i got the car back, the scuffs, and scratches are still there. The scuffs feels a bit smoother but they are still there.So i watched the footages from my dashcams at home. It appears that they didn't sent out my wheels to a wheel repair shop.It took them about 30-40 minutes to have my car up in the air and drop the car back down.I doubt a proper job to fix all 3 wheels+ sending out the wheels to get them repaired takes 30-40 mins.The fact that the damages are still there shows that they didn't send them out.i am very disappointed by this shop. I was fooled by the good reviews. I will not come here again and will not recommend to anyone.

I scheduled online an emergency roadside assistance through my insurance company AAA to have my car towed from my home to an auto-shop, filled out the needed information and submit the form. The towing company they have used was Troy Auto Care, a timer on the webpage was displaying the elapse time until the tow truck will show up to my address and believe it or not, the driver Travis showed up with his truck in that time frame up to the seconds. I was very pleased and impressed by the promptness and the professionalism in which they responded to the whole situation. I would recommend their service to anyone in need.

This place does terrible work, Specially their "head mechanic" Jeremy. He is the one that worked on my truck and I spoke to on the phone... Very unprofessional. I went there to get my lifters replaced and they didn't even look to see the cam was bad so the new lifters were shot within just a few weeks. So I had someone else do the work this time around because this place wanted so much money and I was concerned they didn't do the work right the first time... They broke bolts and didn't say anything, they didn't tighten the manifold all the way down. All my dash lights started coming on and my temperature gague stopped working and it was because they didn't plug certain things back in. Bottom line, they charge way more than anywhere else for labor and do horrible work. Do yourself a favor and take your vehicle somewhere else... Scheduled an appointment to get my heater core checked as it was brought to my attention by the dealership. The guy (forgot his name) checked it out and said there was no issue, the best part, he didn t even charge me. Such a great service! Will definitely keep this shop in mind when I need something done.

Beware! If you were a previous customer of this location like I was for many years, you will not get the same personal and friendly service with fair prices. I was not aware of the owner change when I stopped in. I asked where the person that I have dealt with for years was, and I got a snotty response. Excuse me for asking! I should've left then but I gave them a chance and asked for an oil change. I regretted it from the moment I gave them the keys. I think I came at recess time. VERY loud music, mechanics swearing and yelling in the shop and the price for an air filter was about double ($50 vs $25) than the dealership charged me. I don't mind paying extra for excellent service, but this was far from that.Service: Oil change

Tuesday I went to start my car and it was having trouble also started bogging while I was driving I had to pull into a place and I am sooooo grateful to have found this place as they towed my truck and by the next day 9am I had a diagnosis and they stated how much everything would cost. I was so worried my truck was shot or it would be something major! Thank you so much for taking care of my truck and the problem I will be forever grateful and appreciate you guys!!!

Don't buy a battery from the AAA Towing truck or Battery van. If something is wrong with the battery, you have to go through Hell with AAA to get a replacement or refund. Troy Auto care does NOT guarantee the battery. They tell you to call AAA.

DO NOT BUY BATTERY FROM THEM!! THEY WILL OVERCHARGE YOU AND MAKE IT SEEM LIKE THEY ARE GIVING YOU A DEAL! DREW CHARGED ME DOUBLE OF WHAT BATTERIES REALLY COST AND THEN THEY WILL BLAME AAA FOR THE PRICE! TERRIBLE BUSINESS!!!
