On three jobs from 6/2023 to 12/2023, I was treated with respect, received a fair price, projected time to complete was always spot-on, or less. Austin S. went out of his way to assure each job was to our total satisfaction... very good with both customers and employees; phenomenally talented man and staff. Always made us feel that our business was valued, whether big or small projects. In 70 years (with 4 kids), I've been to many body repair facilities... this place was tops by far.

Great people and product looks good. Some significant detail issues I ll share with Austin:The floor of the hatch area was left very dirty with sanding material from the painter standing in the floor. There is overspray on the passenger side upper interior trim and rubber. There is glue residue and scratches from either the window replacement or roof rack installation. Looks like there was a mad rush to finish it and there was no final check from management on how the vehicle condition was left. It was delivered in poor condition. Austin and the team at Maaco did a great job fixing up my car after a fender bender. They were prompt, professional, and handled everything very smoothly with the insurance company. My car looks good as new!

It was great pleasure to meet Austin and team at Maaco Troy Auto Body Paint Shop. Austin is highly skilled and experienced professional who was very polite and thorough answering our questions about the car repair. Took my car in for refinishing and painting of my front and rear bumpers and the roof area above the doors and the paint match came back very well and everyone I spoke with was friendly. Upon seeing my car however, which I had been called saying was finished and could be picked up an hour before, there was a tech laying in the parking lot in front of my car doing some kind of touch up. I was then asked if I had a hood emblem when I brought the vehicle in, which they then promptly went and found and installed. I then pointed out an obvious run in the clear coat in the middle of the front bumper, so they took my car back into the shop and fixed that.I've attached pictures of the areas of overspray that were easily noticeable and truly dulled my view of the service I received. I was also disappointed to have to detail the inside of my vehicle to remove the extreme smell/dust of bondo that coated every surface inside the cabin, where I then discovered dried paint on my seat and a rubber mat in my door pocket that was now missing.Overall, while the price was lower than other shops I got quotes from, the sloppiness of the work leads me to regret my decision to not go to a more professional shop. The issues I experienced are simple things that honestly shouldn't have escaped the eye of anyone checking over their own work.

Good shop. The managers are great. Chad and Austin took care of my car and made sure it came out how I wanted it. They were easy to work with, and got the car done in time. I appreciate their responsiveness and communication. It's got a good shine and the paint was laid down nicely.

Body repair work was done as per the work order and it was a quality work. My van repair was completed and delivered within the estimated time. I was assured that it will be a finish of good quality - fender replacement and front bumper painting. Reasonable charge with the discount compared to other body shops nearby.

Robert Tuohy, who gave me the estimate was polite, friendly and gave me a quick estimate on Monday and said my car will be ready on Thursday. But, it was ready on Wednesday morning! The work was done well and I am quite happy with it. The cashier/clerk was also friendly and nice. They had another person when I went there to get my car on Wednesday. He was also friendly and polite, did the paperwork and I was on the way out. Great experience and thank you all.Service: Painting

Very bad customer service, I had them paint the top panels of my car, and after they put my windshield window back in its spot, there was damage to the rubber on the sides of my cars windshield glass. I went to the office and talked to Austin, and he promised he'd get back to me the same day to fix my situation, which never happened. I attempted numerous times to get in contact with them through phone, where I was shut down and told "it's not our fault or problem". Just wanted veto thank Troy Maaco for doing a great job on my car. Special thanks to Chad Slabaugh, General Manager, for taking my repair on. I had a botched collision repair. I took my cart Dean Sellers and Suburban Ford for repair. Both dealerships refused and said that they didn't want to get involved with another shops bad repair. Chad sincerely wanted to help me out. Chad took several hours of his time with AAA adjuster and myself. Special thanks to manager, Austin Slabaugh who also kept me informed about my car repair. Thanks also to Danielle, office manager, who was also courteous and also followed up on my case. This MAACO is an honest shop which is hard to find. By and large very disappointed with the quality and craftsmanship of paint work performed.I took my car in for paint repair + full respray on the rear bumper of my car after I backed into an object and cracked the paint.I dropped my vehicle off on a Wednesday, and was notified it was ready for pickup on Monday. Before payment I inspected the vehicle and discovered scratches in the new paint (no photo, these were easily buffed out), 5+ locations of dirt under the new paint that could be felt with a fingernail, and an area of repair that was not even fully painted over. After pointing this out to the service manager (Austin), he asked if I would be willing accept this paint as is. I declined, and he offered to have the bumper wet sanded and resprayed as needed. I agreed to leave the vehicle there, and one of the porters drove me home.Friday the same week I was notified the vehicle was ready again. Upon inspection the painted looked good enough, with only one spot of dirt under the paint. I paid and drove the vehicle home. Upon arriving home, I could smell some sort burning plastic odor- the rear mufflers were covered in overspray. I called to talk about this huge oversperay, but they could not be bothered about it. After looking under the vehicle, I also discovered approximately 3" of lines in the new paint too!While I was not expecting a showcar level paint job, I was hoping to at least receive paint without defects, and for non painted components to have been properly masked off... Time to explore my options on how to get all of this paint off of my exhausts.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Horrible experience - the worst paint job ever! This has been an ongoing issue over a year. I have attempted to get this issue resolved over a year now. Phone calls to the manager and regional manager have gone unreturned. I paid nearly $1500 to have rust removed, a full body paint job - I have bubbles that have formed on the roof near the ski rack, bubbles forming on the rear wheel well, and rust reappearing. Mind you, I got this paint job done on May 18, 2020. I am about ready to speak with an attorney.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Austin and everyone were very attentive and did an awesome job on the body work and paint. I was so surprised of the quality work they did and the price. I was first worried from reviews of Maaco work from other places I heard off. This place had great reviews and well deserved. Wow! the work they did on the car was like it never happened. The best Maaco location that I found in Michigan. Some others didn't do quality work or price was too high. This place does Excellent quality work at a good price. I took my car here earlier this month to have a small dent removed and a few spots of paint touched up. The job was "finished" after 4 days and it seems like the only thing even touched was the dent. It seems as though whoever was working on my car seriously just forgot to even paint anything. On top of that, I discovered a new paint scratch on my car that wasn't even there to begin with, as well as paint all over my tail lights and window trim. I brought in my 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a large rust spot on fender at front driver side. I had them do the repairs and the work was Perfect and the service from estimate to completion was great and the price for the work was fair. Only place I will take my cars for body work!! Started there years ago dealing with Chad Slabaugh and now with his nephew Austin, the manager. Have never had better service! And this time, when I had my car in there for bumper work (at 1/3 the price that Suburban Motors collision quoted), they even cleaned the inside of my car, to my amazement and delight!

I can t say anything bad about them. I drove around from collision shop to collision shop trying to get my classic car painted. They painted my classic car and did a PHENOMENAL job and any minor issues I had they fixed on the spot. Austin is ABSOLUTELY great. Everyone at all the car shows praised me on my car. I know Austin is the manager and doesn t do the body work or paint jobs but he made absolutely sure I didn t leave that shop happy. Thanks Austin and I appreciate all of your staff (don t know all the names besides Austin #2, lol). I HIGHLY and I mean HIGHLY recommend them. Customer service was great, the entire experience was great and I hope Austin and the team behind him stays. Keep up the GREAT work. These guys are horrible. If you're looking for clean job don't even think of visiting them. If Google allowed I would rate them negative 10. They had to just paint a my cars quarter panel that's it. First visit, it looked like work was done by someone doing it first time. It had steps at the edges. They took the car back to fix those issues. They completely ruined it, color mismatch, over spray all over the car, in the name of blending the paint they sprayed the paint and clear coat over the stone gard and door edge protector stickers. When I took it back to show all these met a person who called himself a 20+ yrs experienced painter and told me he personally will fix the issue. After 5 days the painting was as horrible it can be. Paint runs, over spary, dust in paint. These guys are worst. Didn't bother to go back again. The lady in the reception would laugh behind you when you were complaining/showing the issues. Worst experience from the so called professional body and paint shop.Service: Painting

It was a perfect experience just as it has been the many times I've used them in the past.. I brought the car in for them to inspect. They did so and ordered the parts, gave me an estimate, I gave them a check for the parts. Four days later they called and asked me to bring the car, said they would have it three days. That happened and the balance was exact. The car looks perfect. MAACO is simply The Best. Period.Service: Body & Trim

We had work done on one of our vehicles many years ago at the Troy MAACO and they did an excellent job. I was a little worried to take in my car which had minor damage caused by an older gentleman backing up into my car the week before Christmas; due to the time of year, collision shops being busy and the chronic shortfall of employees many businesses face. One large collision shop told me that half of their employees were out sick. Troy MAACO gave me a quote, told me they could take my car in and start work that week, then followed up with the professional work done as promised. You can t tell that anything had happened to the car, looks new. The staff at MAACO were friendly and courteous.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I was satisfied with this location from the beginning. Very competitive pricing, professional and on time. They did great work and I'm very happy with my overall experience. I stopped in to get an estimate done on some damage to my van. A few nasty scratches. Everything was done in such a friendly, honest, and professional manner. The scratches were buffed out on the spot and I left with my car looking brand new! My little guy was with me and the staff member was so awesome with him. Such a wonderful business and a pleasure doing business with. I will go back with any issues I have with my Vehicles and I recommend this shop to anyone who wants honest work done. Thank you Maaco!

Austin is the manager at the Maaco on Maple Rd. near Coolidge in Troy. This is my second car painted, & I am 100% pleased. Austin beat everyone else s price, yet did excellent work in a timely manner.
