I ve gone here for oil changes and bigger fixes - this shop is not at all patronizing, and the people here consistently make sure I understand what they are fixing. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE! We have taken our vehicle to the shop five times in the last month for the exact same issues. We have been given the runaround nothing has actually been fixed. The customer service has been terrible and the place where I bought my vehicle stated that they did all of the work that Midas said that they did prior to me driving the car off of the lot, this customer service is terrible. Norm is completely rude and they have ripped off me and our warranty company for thousands of dollars! They have failed to check anything and everything that has made our vehicle run poorly and I just called this morning and Sam. The manager stated that we needed to just not bring it up. They re moving forward because they don t want any problems and that he did not work on the car himself so he doesn t know anything. These people and this place is a Sorry excuse for an auto shop!

I've been there twice. The people get you in and out and do what they're supposed to. The manager has been there like 17 years so it's nice to have long term employees who are nice to customers

Very happy with the service I received at this Midas. I called and explained my issue and was told I could bring it right in after receiving an honest quote. Brought it in around 2 PM on a Friday and it was looked at in no time. There were larger findings after identifying the issue at hand and the team was very honest with pricing and not pushy at all. I agreed to move forward with recommendations due to professionalism and information I received. We recently moved back to the area and have been looking for a good mechanic. I found my vehicle battery dead when trying to leave for work. I got a jump and went to Midas, obviously without an appointment. All their bays were full, and cars were waiting, but to get me to work they were able to have one of their technicians check the battery, determine the problem, order a replacement battery since they did not stock one for my vehicle, and install it with my car in the parking lot. They got me on the road in less than an hour! Great service!Services: Electrical repair, Battery

Great neighborhood shop for all types for work on your ride, helped me with a performance muffler upgrade on my GT Mustang, really good work and fair. Highly recommended if you need any work on your car.

This is the worst Midas I have ever visited.Usually other midas branches will do the digital inspection of entire car with check lights too after the oil change. But this midas done nothing to my car. Just changed the oil and mentioned you have this dash lights that s all. Additionally I have asked them to check the what is the check light about but they said that for diagnostic check they gonna charge around 140$. I can get the OBD tool for 100$ on amazon and I can check that.The worst I ever have with this midas.Rochester branch is way better than this branch.

Me and my spouse have been coming here for years. I manage for a profession over 3,000 Apartment Homes I have sent my friends family and clients here for all their car repairs I have never had any of them say anything outside of good things!! So far so good! They're first come-first serve at Midas, so wait time will vary. Today I only had to wait about 25 minutes before the mechanic started my oil change which took an additional 30 minutes or so. Google says I was here 62 minutes but some of that time was talking at the front desk, paying, etc.Pricing is competitive. The "parts" were fairly priced the oil and filter together was a little more expensive than what I could get at Walmart but about what I'd pay at a local AutoZone for Valvoline, and labor was only $19.99. They also checked my tires and filled them a few psi. The staff were friendly, and the service had no hidden fees. I'd recommend this Midas to anyone looking for an oil change.I'll update this review in 7 days for a post-oil change review of my car. So far there's been no spillage on the engine block, the cap and filter were attached properly (sometimes mechanics forget ), and I've got cardboard under my car to detect any drips but there's nothing yet.

Have to give another review because I had another experience with Midas and it is much like the last one. Honest people, who do good work at a good price in a timely matter. Exactly what you would want when having your car serviced. Do not go here! Terrible customer service. I arrived at 9am to drop off my car to get the brake pads replaced and an oil change. Later they called me saying the car would be ready at noon. I arrive back at the shop at 11:30 to wait. 30 mins go by and one of the ladies waiting says she has been waiting for 3 hours and complaining nonstop about how long it is taking. Another lady was waiting too, which apparently they didn t finish too. I waited until 2:15 for the car to be ready. I informed the assistant manager politely what had happened to help them be more aware of the misinformation. The assistant manager said that I spoke with him on the phone earlier and that I am lying because he never says times . I told him I must have spoken to someone else. He essentially gave me a list of excuses of why it took 2 hours longer than it was supposed to. I don t care about excuses. If someone tells you it would be ready at a specific time, then you ought to follow that deadline or Atleast inform them that it is being delayed. Your customers have lives too and our time does not revolve around yours. It s basic decency that is so easy to solve. Instead of making excuses just accept the responsibility and learn from it. Not argue and call your customers liars.Additionally, they never looked at the check engine light or anything else. Normally, these places will inspect some issues. The assistant manager said we don t check the engine light here . Just something to keep in mind if you want you car looked at.

Sam Imbrunone is a GREAT STORE MANAGER at the Midas at 1500 W. Maple Rd. Troy, Mi. 48084. Sam really cares about the customers, Sam has always over the years has told me the truth what is wrong with my car, and as I sat and wait for my car to get serviced on I watch as Sam helps other customers so honestly and respectfully! I Ruby have went to other car places to get service BEFORE I came to Midas in Troy Michigan and these others Car places lied about what was wrong with my car, over charged me, or didn t fix my car right, BUT NOT SAM IMBRUNONE, Sam will make sure he truly diagnosed the problem, and give you A Great Rate with EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE!! As you wait Sam provides free coffee, water, and tv entertainment! The Midas waiting area is so clean and lounge area is so quiet and relaxing as you wait to get your vehicle fix! Sam also has nice employees with positive attitudes and smiles! This Midas at 1500 W. Maple Rd. Is the best business in the Universe to have your car serviced on! I really appreciate the Midas Coporation having Sam Imbrunone working there , Sam will bring this Midas great business and over abundance with customers because of his character and how he treats Midas customers! Over the years I have not went to ANY OTHER SHOP BUT MIDAS BECAUSE WHEN YOU FIND THE BEST YOU DONT MESS WITH THE REST!! I hate when I have a car issue, but I know that when I do, everything will be alright. This Midas location gives me that peace of mind. I can t say enough good things about this Midas. I have had my cars serviced here for years after trying several other auto shops when I first moved to the Detroit area. I haven t ever had an issue they could not fix and Sam and the guys don t cut any corners. Fair prices, and most notably, they know foreign cars. Probably adds a bit to the labor time/cost, but where other shops that specialize in German cars would charge you as much as they can, Midas does honest work, and everyone there that I have spoken to is always extremely helpful. I recommend this location to anyone I know that needs work done on their car and you should highly consider going if you are ever in need of any auto services. Thanks again fellas! My car is running better than it ever has

I've have been taking our family's four cars to Sam at Midas for quite a few years now and I felt it was time to let everyone know how thankful I am to have found a mechanic that I can trust to tell it to me straight. I know that I will get an honest assessment of the problem without being taken advantage of. Scott Brown and the team at Midas performed a leveling kit install, new AT tire install, and rear break replacement. They were exceptionally knowledgeable in helping me pick out the new gear and provided a quality profession service! Went in after a HORRIBLE experience the previous day at another mechanic. I was practically in tears when I came to ask them to fix my car (again, since it was never fixed in the first place). They diagnosed the issue and had my vehicle fixed in 1/3 of the time that the other place took. I believe I was in and out within 2 hours throughout the entire process. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I was even offered a loaner vehicle to go anywhere I needed to go while I waited for my repairs to be done. I was pretty shaken up after the incident at the other shop and was leery about anyone else servicing my vehicle, but they gave me my peace of mind back. It's been almost a week now and my car is running great. No issues have arose since then. I plan to return to them for any and all repairs I may need in the future. I definitely recommend these guys.

Nice customer service. I went to them on a Saturday morning with all my engine lights on and has lots of issues.. Even they are in busy schedule, they took me in and resolved all the issues in my minivan. I had issues on engine, rear heater, wheel alignment. etc.... Also changed couple of tires too. All these works done on the same day and my minivan looks great.

Been going to this location for nearly eight years, it has always had a great and humble staff who really understand you. They've been patient with me through just about every car problem imaginable and helped me keep calm and work things out every single time. They'll work with you even if you can't adequately explain what's wrong. One time I had to take a ride with an employee for one perceived minor issue only for our conversation to pin down a real problem and solution to a totally different issue I had ignored for years. They've also leveled with me many times on repairs I should do in order of importance, back when I couldn't afford every fix I needed on my daily driver. I've been to my car's dealership and other places but none as often as this one Midas. When you go here, be aware that they're often busy. Be as patient with them as they are with you. You will not be disappointed.

Great service and staff, very knowledgeable. They save me $20 on a specific labor cost but ended up using that 20 on an Uber ride home down the street, would of walked but it was raining. Would of given 5stars if they told me about their shuttle service which I wasn't aware of till it was time to pick up my car. Otherwise great people!

Sam and crew have always been there for me with very fair repair costs, and nothing extra that I don't need. Repairs are always performed quickly and I have never had an issue. My car is a 13 yr old Honda, and it hums, thanks to Sam & Crew at Midas on Maple Road in Troy!

Got the job done professionally. Sam broke done the pricing with me before the job was completed. Great customer service.UPDATEMidas had notified me of a change needed to one of my brake pads. I told them I would get it done since I had brake pads at home. When I finally got around to changing them, I removed the tire and noticed that the lower caliper guide pin bolt was missing and the upper one was loose. Very disappointed that they forgot to tighten the bolts when reattaching my tire.

This Midas location is fantastic! Norm and Sam are THE BEST. They are always kind and extremely helpful. Exemplary customer service. They go above and beyond. Horrible communication. I get everyone is short-staffed and busy, but just set reasonable expectations. Dropped my car off there for them to look at, they told me they would do so by end of day if I left it. Took a Uber home. Ten mins before closing, no word from them (did they look at it?). Called them, and they re like, oh we didn t get to it but we will tomorrow morning . Tomorrow rolls around, no word from them. Called them again and they said it would be a couple days. Well, why did you ask me to leave my car there? Why did you tell me that if I left it, you d look at it that say when you could? Then absolutely no follow up. If they re this bad communicating I can t imagine how bad they are at doing auto work.

I needed 3 bulbs replaced on my import. After about an hour of trying to do it myself, I called the dealership, thinking that would be safest bet. The price they quoted was much higher than what I expected for bulb replacement, and, fortunately for me, they were booked up. I decided to try my favorite Midas location on Maple Rd., and not only did they have the bulbs, but they replaced them in about 15 - 20 minutes for a fraction of the dealership price. Should have just gone to Midas first.

Very trustworthy service, saved my day! After going to Pep Boys on 14 mile road in Clawson and getting rep off and not fixing my problem. Pep Boys told I had a muffler problem that they could not fix and told I needed to go to a muffler shop, they charged me $520 & didn t fix the problem that I went in for. Midas toldme that I didn t have a muffler problem but I had a front wheel bearing problem that was causing the noiseand that my front tire could have came off. They replaced it and the noise problem was gone and I was back on the road in 1 hour. Pep Boys had my SUV for a day and half. Will never go back to Pep Boys again.I will always go to Midas in Troy.Thanks for your Great Service and friendly staff .Ronald Dunlap

I brought my car in yesterday to address a slow leak and check the brakes. I picked up my car and as soon as I got to the light on Maple at Crooks I could no longer shift into 1st or 2nd gear. Anyone who drives a manual knows that engaging the clutch from 3rd is difficult, and not good for the transmission. I brought it back and they discovered that the brake cleaner bottle cap had fallen on top of the transmission, blocking the gear shift from moving properly. Someone had left the cap on top of the engine and it fell in. This careless and negligent move put me in a very dangerous situation as not being able to use the lower gears make the car incredibly difficult to drive. While I am happy they repaired the issue at no cost, there was no apology or attempt to remedy the situation outside of removing the cap from the trans. There could be damage to my transmission or clutch that is not apparent at the moment...who knows. But I do know that this was pure negligence and the lack of apology is even more astounding. I hope there was no damage but I would recommend avoiding this Midas. People make mistakes...but the lack of apology or attempt to remedy as someone who had just spent hundreds is plenty for me to take my business elsewhere.
