So glad I found this place. I needed to replace the turbos on my bmw 135i which would have cost thousands at a shop and I live in an apartment so I couldn t do the job there. The place is clean, the tools are good quality, the pricing is reasonable, and the founders Max and Dustin were incredibly helpful through the whole project. I will definitely be coming back!

Used this place on Sunday and it was perfect! Had to do a transmission swap along with clutch kit in my Wrangler and Hoist House was the perfect spot to go to! Max and Dustin were very accommodating and welcoming to their shop. For anyone needing work done and does not have a place to work on their vehicle to get out of the elements, this is the place to go! I drove nearly 1.5hrs and would do it again! They provide you a tool cart filled with tools as well as other accessories around the shop to use. Thanks again Max and Dustin for everything! My jeep drives like new again!

Awesome place right off the freeway and Dustin is awesome!Definitely not the last time I will come to use the hoist here and other shop equipment.

This is a great resource for auto DIYers. We took my son s vehicle here and replaced 2 oxygen sensors and the coolant sensor. Dustin was very helpful and made sure we had all the tools we needed and helped us safely get the vehicle hoisted. In addition he showed us how to use the alldata website to find the sensors and answered any questions we had. I think we saved hundreds of dollars by taking advantage of this service.

I recently rented a bay at Hoist House to do some work on my truck. I was installing a leveling kit and didn t have all the right tools for the job but wanted to do it myself. The shop itself is great with plenty of working space. I had an entire tool cart to myself without having to rent individual tools, which was great when I had to switch how I was going to do the project halfway through, with a helpful idea from one of the Managers Dustin. It was well worth getting the day pass, obviously the work took longer than expected. Overall, it was a great experience and cheaper than paying someone to install the parts. Amazing business and great owners! I needed a place to spray a bed liner in one of my cargo vans and due to the extreme cold I needed someplace to do it that was heated. Dustin and Max were so accommodating and helpful. They set me up in the back area and even let me store the van inside for a couple days to let the liner dry/cure! This will be my go to place for any work that I need to do on my vehicles in the winter!

Why struggle under your car on jacks stands for countless hours. Take it hoist house. Have access to all the right equipment. Great owners. You ll save time/money and enjoy the experience.

The battery went on my vehicle and I needed to replace it. Living at an apartment in Winter with no space to do the work inside or outside, I found Hoist House and it was everything I needed. They had a hoist bay to lift my car up (my car battery is located in my driver front fender) and it gave complete luxury to help me complete my swap myself. Their prices are reasonable, the additional tools they offer for my DIY experience are quality, and Max made my experience very enjoyable. Would recommend for your DIY auto needs.

This business decided it would be a great idea to go around placing paper stickers on peoples windshields in a parking lot during a recent automotive event. Upon arriving back to my vehicle and finding this advertisement on my windshield I went to remove it and it left a bunch of paper/adhesive residue that I am now responsible for removing. Very unethical business practices here as no one should be out touching people s vehicles in the first place, let alone placing giant hard to remove stickers on them.

Great place to work on your vehicle especially in this brutal Michigan winter. Dustin and Max are very helpful and are happy to get you anything you need to get the job done. I'll definitely be back!

This place is great! I dealt with Dustin one of the owners, he was extremely helpful and friendly, they have all the tools you need, it's a clean well lit place. If you like doing your own car repairs I can't say enough about this place!!

I was recommended this DIY shop in Troy by a local auto parts store after buying pads and rotors. The guys were super helpful and they have pretty much every tool you can imagine. I ended up renting a hoist for a couple hours and even came back to swap the oil and spark plug in my lawnmower instead of doing it at my house. Very reasonable pricing for what you get access to. Highly recommend checking this place out and I will be back soon for my next project!

Last week I had to replace a hub assembly on my GMC Terrain. I also replaced my rear brakes and did an oil change. But the hub assembly rust welded itself to the brake dust shield.I could not get it off by myself no matter what I tried. Dustin and Max rescued me.They must've worked on that thing for close to an hour when Dustin said he would give me a lift home if we couldn't get it off. I told him that I have to have this car for work the next day.Dustin said, "ok." And the guys kept working until they got that thing off (which took yet another hour and a half) while I finished the rest of the work.They went way above and beyond to help a guy out, and I sincerely appreciate it!It's great to not have to crawl around in my driveway with my vehicle on stands anymore, and I'm glad to know that I have someone to help me out. Thanks guys!!

I was looking for a DIY garage to do some repairs on my car because I don t have the tools or space to do it at my apartment. Hoist house was perfect for what I needed. The staff was really helpful and knowledgeable and getting signed up was a breeze. I ll definitely be back the next time I need to work on my car.

I went to the Hoist House just to take a look at the undercarriage of my classic car. The staff was very helpful, all the equipment is brand new, I was even able to watch a live stream of the La Mans race while there working on the car! Highly recommended, I will be back!
