If you are a Subaru owner, then you are probably particular about your car and who can work on it. Have no fear Matt is here! Honestly this dude was amazing. Very professional, very knowledgeable and extremely great at communication! Matt had reached out to me numerous times to update me, or let me know of something new he had discovered, or a new benefit he could add that fixed an existing problem. It didn't matter what it was, he was brilliant. He treated my car like it was his own. He has a passion for this stuff. He even went so far as to send me update progress pictures of the work being performed. It was great. Matt is honest, fair, and a very good mechanic. Look forward to working with you again! Thank you!

I would and have taken my cars to Matt no questions asked , He has always done great work for Oakos and now his own shop. If you need any service done to your Subaru drop it off with him.Below are pictures of the before and after of my valve covers on my 2006 Legacy GT Wagon. He cleans and takes care of any parts better than many dealers would.He will be handling any work on my Subaru's that I don't want to handle in the future and doing track inspections for my car.

Matt is amazing with his knowledge of the subaru wrx. Having my engine rebuilt. He has made sure to keep me in the loop every step of the way. If you own a wrx I highly recommend giving Flat Four Automotive a call.

The owner is an awesome guy, very friendly, and knowledgeable. Hooked me up with the part I needed for my subaru, talked with me about my car, and offered expert advice on my build. Shop is clean and well maintained. if you're looking for a subaru mechanic, whether it be for general repairs or high horsepower builds, this is the place. Highly recommend.

I've heard from multiple people that he's a great Subaru mechanic, but he told me for almost a month that he'd be able to get me in soon and ultimately never got back to me. I'm not mad that he's busy, but I could have started looking for somewhere else from the beginning and gotten my car on the road a lot sooner.

I swear Matt is the smartest and most knowledgeable Subaru mechanic I think I ve ever met. Not only does he do incredible work for the price you pay, he knows what he s talking about. You can tell he is extremely passionate about his work and he puts so much time and dedication into these cars. Not only has he inspected my car before I bought it on a only a days notice, he has saved me numerous times from misquotes from other shops and dealers. He treats your car like his own and will update you if any hiccups occur during the process or if he just notices something that needs to be done at some point. He is my go to guy and I recommend him to anyone that owns a Subaru hands down.

I was recommended Flat Four by a fellow Subaru WRX owner and took mine there to have a creaking sound diagnosed. Matt was able to pretty quickly identify the location and cause of the sound, and he fixed it very quickly on the spot. From what I've head and seen in his shop, Matt's the go-to metro Detroit Subaru mechanic, especially for the turbo models like WRX, STI, etc.

Matt does incredible work! Always willing to go the extra mile, he's always followed up with me several times after he's done work on my vehicle just to make sure everything was good. Now to try and convince him to work on my GTR :)

Matt at Flat Four is the kind of mechanic you are looking for.See it appears to be just him there, And when you get the one on one attention he will give you, You will feel a lot better about handing over your keys and hard earned money.While I was there I witnessed him give the same face time to a guy getting just an oil change as he gave me who is going to be spending a lot more than that by probably 10 fold.He will talk to and hear you no matter what your level of skill is, And a mechanic like me got no better than the guy who appears to not know as much., He treats everyone equally.He's just a fair and honest guy.It's cool, Take your car to him, The wait is worth it. You'll be good, I swear

Had timing belt and water pump replaced. Matt was extremely helpful and accommodating, easy to work with. Great competitive prices and even better quality work. Best place to go, i highly recommend it.
