Seriously avoid at all cost. Complete fraud at almost every corner. Sold me a new sea-doo that strangely needed constant repair in the off-season - every winter and spring start. New invoices were being 'discovered' months after work was performed. A storage bill from 18 months earlier would surface while they held my property hostage. This for sure will sound familiar to people based on other reviews. Then the kicker is that the same sea-doo they sold to me was strangely missing paper work that the Secretary of State confirmed could not exist (a title to a trailer that is not needed in the state of Michigan) when it was resold. Keep in mind I mistakenly used this fraudster company to sell the exact same sea-doo that they sold to me without this mysterious paper work. I was charged at the last minute by Walstrom for this missing paper work that significantly decreased the purchase price. They claimed it was new ownership so they cannot be responsible for what happened previously. Even better this was AFTER the sea-doo was actually resold. I was only told after the fact that the price was decreased. Since this was contrary to what was agreed to originally I asked for the sea-doo back, but guess what....?!? The party that 'bought' it had already taken it away and so it was too late. Avoid a terrible situation and just do not do business with this company.

We are VERY pleased with our salesman, Matt Schwarze. He has taken the time to make sure we thoroughly understand everything about our trade In and the new pontoon. Looking forward to the pontoon delivery tomorrow. Will definitely recommend Walstrom to friends.

I recently purchased s Sea Ray SPX190 and must say that the culture of this dealership is exemplary. Every associate we dealt with was passionate about wanting to help us and to answer our questions. After the purchase, I had bit of an issue and their GM (Joel Shoemaker) bent over backwards to make it right. Given a choice between dealerships, Walstrom in Traverse City is the leader in customer service. You'll be pleasantly pleased with them.

Just brought our new Lund home. Chuck provided great customer service and follow-up. Hard to find now a days. The true gem of our experience was back in the shop. Tommy was just plain awesome!!! He walked us through the boat before we took possession; very knowledgeable and patient with our questions. We live 3 hours away and I am inclined to make the drive for all my service needs on my Lund because of these two gentlemen.

When I dropped my boat off to be winterized I was told it would take 7-10 days. I was very pleased to receive a phone call after only 4 days letting me know that is was done and ready to be picked up. I will be a repeat customer.

These are the nicest people to deal with well worth the travel time from Muskegon. They are very informative from the salesman down to the the mechanics that showed me what my boat is capable of. They responded in a rapid time on all texts and phone call really made me feel at home thanks again for everything and looking forward to doing more business with them

Had a wonderful experience with Jim and his crew when checking out and buying our boat! All the members of the team we came into contact with were very knowledgeable, friendly, flexible (accommodated our busy schedule and worked with us on the weekends), attentive and fair with the prices. They kept every promise they made! We look forward to working with them on our boating needs in the future.

I've only dealt with Parts and Service, which are both fantastic. Everyone I have come in contact with there have been friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. There are bound to be bumps in the road when one business takes over another. As a woman who owns a Boat Livery... I have been treated well here.

I was hoping to forge a good relationship with this dealer for servicing my 200 Optimax on my Whaler. Not only could they not fix the problem, but they overlooked obvious things, that I found myself, after the 3rd trip in, including connectors that they disconnected and never reconnected. The fiberglass was spotless when i brought it in, and when I got it back the area around the engine was filthy and grease stained. They also put a hole in the side bolster vinyl then denied it. Then on the 4th visit for the same problem they also put a big scratch on my engine cover. No apologies were made for the inconvenience and damage until I pointed out that it would have been nice if they seemed to care. Finally, at my request, they refunded the service charges, and paid for the cost of the bolster repair which looks fair at best. I sent an email to the CEO before I gave up on them and I received no reply. Being a business owner myself, I don't think they will be around long.

This Spring I purchased a new Lund Pro Guide 1775 from Walstrom Marine in Traverse City. I have owned a lot of boats in my life, this was my first time dealing with Walstrom and they were by far the best boat dealer I ve ever worked with. Highly recommend, went way above and beyond to make this a very special experience!

I've been a customer since 2014 and have always received excellent service. Matt does a great job of following up on any question or concerns. Their work has continually been perfect and done right the first time. I am a repeat customer!

Buyers Beware - Walstrom Marine is a Non-Professional Business which employs "Bait & Switch" techniques. I was in last week and Salesman Jeff gave me a written quote on a new Lund Boat. My wife and I went back to the Dealer yesterday afternoon to order the Boat. Jeff was off, so we dealt with Chuck. Chuck priced out the boat within a few dollars of Jeff's quote so we signed the purchase agreement and wrote Walstrom Marine a Check for the full sales price. My phone is not working, so this morning I was in the neighborhood, so I stopped by the Dealer to insure Lund had accepted the order and was ready to begin assembly. NOW Walstrom has decided to up the price? I need to pay 10% more even though we had a deal and I paid them in full. Not sure how Walstrom has been in business for so many years practicing this completely unacceptable and unprofessional way of doing business, but they have lost my Business forever and I will tell everyone I know about the negative experience I had with this business in addition to filing a report with the BBB...

My husband and I had the BEST experience ever with Walstrom Marine. CHUCK NEW is FANTASTIC, from the start of the experience all the way thru was amazing. I would not buy a boat anywhere else. Andrea was great in financing!! Thanks to Chuck and Walstrom we have had an awesome boat buying experience. Walstrom is like family now!! THANK YOU ALL!!! I give 10 STARS to Walstrom, thanks Chuck!!!!

We had serious issues with the previous owners but they took over and fixed everything. The staff is friendly but very professional. They know what they are talking about and there is no hard selling. It was one of the best experiences we've had dealing with a purchase. Tom was especially helpful and patient with all our "newbie boat owner" questions. We HIGHLY recommend this place.

Matt Schwarze was super attentive and great to work with during the boat buying process. Because of COVID the entire buying process was virtual so I trusted Matt and he didn't disappoint. The boat was what I was hoping, and aside for some of the manufacturer accessories being delayed because of supply issues, Matt and the people at Walstrom's were awesome to work with.

Horrible customer service. The only employee in that building worth anything is Ryan Coe who is phenomenal. Eric from parts is going to kill the business with his lack of customer service. Called two weeks before Christmas to find out if they had any specials since wanted to buy the 1+1 seat and gas can for husbands new 2018 skidoo and explained that we purchased sled at a dealership downstate and could go down there and get a 15% discount but wanted to buy local if we could to not have to drive. Was Rudely told by Eric that if we would have purchased from them that they look to hook people up and create a relationship with people who buy from them. So instead we chose to just drive to dealership and spend the 1000.00 with people who have customer service. Today we called to try and get a specific skidoo part for a trip we are taking this weekend and spoke to someone who told us they had a previous model of what we were looking for and that it would work and said since was a open bag that they would sell it to us for 25.00 instead of 30. Husband had to call me to find out if okay and xalled back to tell them we would be there on Friday for it and magically nobody knows anything. Someone was supposed to call us back and 3 hours later and two phone calls nothing... will not purchase anything anymore from this place until they can get it together, terrible service.

Service After The SaleWe recently purchased a new Qwest pontoon from Traverse Bay Marine. Our sales person Brian Rogers was the most informative and patience individual while we tried to decide which make and model we wanted to buy. Brian working with Joe C. (Manager) and us, we made a purchase and received a very fair trade in value for our old pontoon.Preparation and delivery were done as promised by Brian. He even did an orientation on our new pontoon on our lake.Our satisfaction with service doesn t end here. A week after purchase there was a malfunction with the shifting mechanism. One call to Brian and he personally came and picked up our pontoon and took it to TraverseBay Marine, had it fixed and returned to us long after store hours the same day. Service doesn t get any better. We thank you! Marsha and Donn Gresso

Went in to pick up an oil change kit for my Sea-Doo... But the salesman there told me that the cash registers are closed on the weekend and I would have to come in on Monday. Why even have your doors open if you can't ring people up? You can't cross train someone to use a cash register? I like to support local businesses, but I work during the week... so I'll just buy this on Amazon.

Buyer beware...proceed with caution. My experience with Joe Curtis buying a new Jeanneau NC 895. The best part...he still wants a $40,000 deposit on a boat that might show up in May but anyone who has read about production in Cadillac, MI knows these boats are getting delayed all the time.Joe,Thank you for the information. I will not be buying a boat from you. I gave you my credit card number at the boat show in Detroit to hold the boat. You told me my $5,000 deposit would take it off the market while I sat on the boat in Detroit at Cobo. I corresponded with you on a daily basis regarding financing options of which I ended up finding a much better option than what you had suggested. I secured insurance on this boat. I had a closing date of April 10th! I frankly wasted my time and a lot of other people s time. Doing business with you has been a terrible experience. Never ONCE did I tell you I was on the fence about buying the boat and frankly you not running my credit card to hold the boat was completely dishonest on your part. I told you run it and hold the boat for me. I have daily correspondence (in between a busy orthopedic surgery practice) to you about my progress of finalizing this deal. I guess I didn t realize we were on your timeline and not mine. Last I checked I was the one paying $200,000 and not you. Joanne sorry but the deal is off. Thank you for your hard work.Christina

definately do not go there. they hired a convicted felon, con artist Van Workman to run there entire shop who cheated me on engine purchases and false promises. They knew he was a felon but hired him anyways because the money was so good. Hang onto your wallet and avoid the service department, they will rip you off.

Had the part I needed for a 1995 Starcraft. Answered questions and did a search for parts on a Seadoo when they no longer service these boats. Could have easily just turned me away on it but instead took time researching parts for me.

Worst experience with any company, EVER. I brought my boat in for service in and 5 MONTHS later it still wasn't ready (they told me 2 weeks). They wouldn't answer the phone when I called and I left no fewer than 15 messages without a call back. Finally, I had began FAXING them non-stop until they finally called me back ... at which point they told me it would only be a couple more days and that they would call me when it was ready. A week later ... no call ... and once again un-returned messages. I had to drive up from the Detroit area and just take my boat back ... un-repaired. Then ... they actually sent me a bill! STAY AWAY.

Went over to get oil and filter for Honda 75hp outboard motor. Argued with the Parts guy who said it only needed 1 quart of oil. Finally i said "Ok I guess you know what you're talking about." Drove home and looked it up for myself online and found out it needs 5 quarts, not 1. Had to drive all the way back to get 4 more quarts, and asked the head of the Parts department who would think that 1 quart of oil was right for a 75hp motor. He said "A new guy, you need to cut him some slack." Nice attitude will never go back. What a joke. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE.

Absolutely a joke called 5 times interested in a snowmobile, stopped in left # with a sales person to contact me about availability and pricing, no response no contact. Stay away! If the sale is bad the service is also!

Worse dealership I have ever dealt with. I wouldn't deal with them even if you paid me to. Because we did not use their financing we were treated like dirt. Buying our boat from them was the biggest mistake!

Ever since Walstrom took over it s been nothing but poor service. Took our boat to have it stored again (we were repeat customers) and shocked to be told the price was more than doubled. No heads-up, nothing. Don t ever deal with this company.

Update your website and manage it!!! All the prices are wrong and so is the inventory. We live in a world of technology today and this is the first place anyone looks to buy.I called and talked to sales and they told me all the models are gone and prices are not correct.
